Cedric's words cut through the air echoing through the university quad, his voice laced with anger and frustration. "Don't follow me, Sarah. It won't change anything." He walked quickly across the quad, his blue jeans and fitted t-shirt showing off his athletic build, and the shinning of the sun since it was midday made his clothes look just perfect on him.
Sarah's face crumpled as she rushed past him, her green pencil dress hugging her curves. The dress showcased her beautiful figure, highlighting her tiny waist and shapely curved hips.
Her long black curly pop braids fell down her back, and her bright brown eyes, once shining with warmth, now brimmed with sorrow. Her lips, typically shiny, full and inviting, were now trembling and smeared with tears. Her runny nose added to her distress.
As she spoke, her voice trembled. "How could you, Cedric? You promised me I was the only one you'd ever love." Her words were laced with pain and sadness.
Cedric's jaw clenched, his eyes flashing with guilt. He took a step back, his fists clenched.
As Sarah's words trailed off, she swayed, her legs buckling. Cedric rushed to her side, catching her before she fell.
