Five years have passed since that fateful day of being accepted as the grandmaster's direct disciple.
(MC's POV): The last five years went by like a flash. The initial years were a struggle not being able to control my limps and defecating all over myself. However, now we are at the interesting part. I am finally able to learn more about the force and started my Jedi classes.
In the meantime I got to know the name of the mysterious person. He is master Kiyoga, a human that used to be a jedi consular before being promoted. He now has a seat at the council.
The other younglings were a little older when they arrived at the temple around 2 to 3 years old. Because I was here the longest and quite mature for my age, I managed to become the elder brother of sort of all the younglings that arrived after me.
I especially liked the little Togruta sister named Kanitsae and the little Zabrak brother named Jaraen. The others are nice as well, but tend to be troublemakers. One day I needed to separate the little ones and I unconsciously used my force powers. My master immediately arrived at the scene, her name is Sequoia Sunrider. She is one of the most powerful jedi since the start of the order. The day ended by getting lectured by my teacher for the whole afternoon and evening.
This led to me being taught to control my force powers, my teacher emphasises that I need to control my feelings by meditating. I personally feel that physical exercise is more helpful to relax and focus my mind. The strange thing is I already do muscle ups, handstand push-ups, squats, sit-ups, etc.. You would expect that it is too hard for a small kid, but somehow I manage and the force helps with the recovery as well.
I overheard the masters talking about me, they were saying that I have to carry a heavy burden of protecting the jedi code. The masters believe that I will elevate the order to a new height and I will need to lead them to the difficult times that are prophesied. The prophecy showed my predecessors that there will be a major war between force users. It was not yet clear when and between whom it will be.
At first the prophecy was only known to the masters, but recently everyone seems to know it and the others started to worship me or are skeptical. Influential members try to use their connections to get in touch with me or put their family members near me.
The jedi classes are really interesting as I learned how to use telekinesis and use the force to scan my surroundings. We also got classes with animals to see if we can use a force connection to convey orders.
Other classes are focused on combat, survival in the wild, politics, and more information about the various plants, wildlife and other sentient species. Due to my ability to shapeshift in other species and acquiring their abilities. I was able to learn most languages in an instance and got to understand the species at the same time; however, my ability is only limited to sentient beings.
During these classes I tend to teach my fellow initiates how to act and try to make them understand the importance of these lectures. One day my little brother Jaraen challenged me to a duel to see if I was still worthy of being his older brother. I scoffed at his challenge as I knew that he was nowhere near my level.
Since the challenge was issued we gathered around a training field with our little sister Kanitsae as our referee. The others were watching and I could hear some whispers that they were praying for my downfall to debunk the rumors surrounding the prophecy.
Without a clear indication that we started the bout, Jaraen rushed forward to get one up on me. He started slashing, while I just dodged his practice sword. When he got a little tired, I used my feet to trip him and make him stumble backwards. He was so embarrassed that he became angry.
He lifted his arm and I left like I was being choked. His eyes were changing color to a hazel color. I told him to stop as I assumed that he did not know what he was doing. He screamed that he was going to kill me for embarrassing him in front of everyone.
That is when one of the masters arrived and used a jedi mind trick on him to calm him down. He was reported to the council and we were told that he will spend some time studying on his own with one of the masters. This was my first time experiencing another aspect of the force. I always thought that the force was loving and used to help others, but this made me realise that it could also hurt others.
Although my intentions were still focused on helping others, I felt drawn to exploring the other aspects of the force as I needed a complete grasp on my abilities to help fulfil the expectations of everyone at the temple.
My thoughts were interrupted as I felt someone poking at me. Kanitsae was asking me something but I did not hear what she was saying. I asked her if she could repeat what she said.
(Kanitsae's POV): I was so shocked when my brothers ended up fighting for real. I thought that it was just a sparring session as we did with the droids and mannequins. However, Jaraen used a weird ability and I saw elder brother Kewi'laä floating in the air and gasping for air. I was so scared… I am usually really good at calming everyone down, but brother Jaraen was unresponsive to my usual soothing ability.
As my brothers were finally separated I helped my older brother and tried to ask him what happened, but he was not listening. I kept yelling "older brother" and his name "Kewi'laä", but still nothing. As I poked him a couple of times, his eyes became clear and he asked me "What is going on sister and what did you just say?"
(Kewi'laä's POV): My sister asked whether I was okay and if I knew what was going on with our brother Jaraen. I told her that I was fine and that he did not harm me. To be honest, I barely felt anything, but I was mostly shocked by the ability that Jaraen showed as I had never seen it before… I reassured my sister that everything was fine and that we should check up on Jaraen, when possible.
A few months later Jaraen was put back into our group and he needed to apologise first to everyone. I told him that it was okay and that I hope all is fine with him. He told me that he did not know what happened, as it was all a blur to him.
I kept thinking about the fact that a purple/blackish glow surrounded him, when it happened. I asked my fellow initiates if they saw it as well, but not a single one had seen the same. They told me that whenever they try to recall the incident it becomes blurry. But this should not be possible in just a span of a few months.
I needed to find out what was going on and I want to know more about the other abilities that are not mentioned during our classes.
