Meanwhile, Railer remained in a coma at the hospital, though his condition had stabilized.
Chantelle stayed by his side the whole time, keeping him company.
As she scanned the headlines on her laptop, she noticed the growing number of hateful comments about Kate.
Leaning back onto the couch, Chantelle thought with satisfaction, It's been five years since we last met, Kate Bently. I hope you like my gift. If not, that's fine. This is just the beginning. I'll make sure you experience what it feels like to be abandoned and hurt by the person you love.
Chantelle raised her hand and signaled to Calvin. "Proceed to the next step in one hour."
"Yes, Ms. Chantelle. What about Kane? Should we send someone to bring him back?" Calvin asked.
"No!" Chantelle thought for a moment, then stood up and said, "I'll look for him myself. Take care of this child for me. I'll be back soon."
"Should I send someone to escort you?" he asked.
She replied, "Prepare a helicopter. I'll meet you at the Wilson residence."
"Okay," Calvin answered.
Chantelle left the ward and walked to the parking lot.
She hopped onto a motorcycle, slipped into her leather biker suit, and rode off into the night.
The third floor of the Wilson residence had been set up as a special medical space for Railer.
Feeling both frustrated and excited, Philip tried to figure out why the boy had recovered so suddenly.
He couldn't find any clear answers despite running numerous tests on Kane.
Philip thought silently, How did Railer recover so fast? There's nothing unusual in his medical results. This is so frustrating!
Meanwhile, Kane relaxed on the sofa, thinking through the situation. The boy in the hospital is probably my brother and Daniel Wilson is our dad. My dad must be marrying that evil woman I saw this afternoon. Poor little brother, he's about to get a stepmom!
After grabbing some snacks from the table, Kane started to feel sleepy.
It had been a long and exhausting day running from his mother's men. He decided to take a nap to rest and recharge.
While Philip was focused on the medical results, Kane quietly slipped out and headed to Railer's room. Just as he was about to turn on the lights in the dark room, he felt someone lift him off the ground.
"Hey! Who's there? Who dares to grab me? Ah!" Kane shouted.
"Be quiet, little rascal!" Chantelle scolded him.
"Mommy?" Kane said, surprised.
When the lamp came on, Kane finally saw who was holding him. It was his beautiful and cool mommy.
"Haha! You look amazing today, Mommy!" Kane flashed Chantelle his biggest smile, giving her the most innocent look he could muster.
"Don't think you can escape unpunished, kid! I'll teach you a lesson when we get home!" Chantelle snapped.
Without wasting any time, she grabbed Kane and jumped out of the window.
The helicopter was hovering nearby, ready for Chantelle's orders.
Kane guessed that Chantelle planned to send him abroad.
In a panic, he clung to her leg and cried, "I can't leave now, Mommy!"
"Are you having a hard time saying goodbye to Daniel after spending just half a day with him?" Chantelle sneered, wiping food crumbs off the boy's mouth.
"Is Daniel Wilson my dad?" Kane asked.
Chantelle nodded, realizing it was pointless to lie to the clever boy. "So what if he's your dad? He can't make you stay."
"I heard the doctor say he's about to marry that evil woman! How can you let her share the inheritance? Why don't you let me stay so I can fight for it?" Kane asked.
"We aren't short on money, Kane. You better follow my orders, or you won't be allowed to leave the house."
Without another word, Chantelle grabbed the boy and carried him out of the window.
Panicking, Kane grabbed onto the curtain, begging, "Let me stay for just a few more days, Mommy! I promise I'll come back after I teach that scumbag a lesson. I'll take care of myself."
"No! Let go!" Chantelle commanded.
"No!" Kane cried out.
Just then, Philip's voice came from the other side of the door, "Where did you go, Rai?"
A moment later, Chantelle heard the door handle start to turn.
She quickly assessed the situation and realized it was best to leave alone.
She wasn't sure if she could escape with Kane without being caught.
Before leaving, Chantelle handed Kane a new phone and warned, "Be careful, don't get caught. Stay away from Kate Bently. I'll come for you in a few days."
She gave him a sharp look, her mind already planning to punish him when he returned home.
When Philip entered the room, Chantelle climbed out the window and disappeared.
The man was shocked to find Kane sitting on the window ledge and rushed to pull him back to a safe place.
"Why are you sitting by the window? Hurry, get down here!" Philip urged him.
"Don't worry, Uncle Philip. Auntie Kate told me if I jump out the window while holding an umbrella, I can fly! It sounded fun, so I wanted to try it," Kane said cheerfully.
He decides to blame Kate since Chantelle told him she is a bad person.
"Kate told you that?" Philip asked in surprise.
"Yeah! I wanted to try it, but I was a little scared..." Kane said, looking pitiful.
"Listen to me, Rai. How about we play another game? That one isn't fun." Philip froze in fear, holding Kane tightly. This is awful! How could anyone teach a child to do something like that?
Philip watched Kane closely, worried that the boy might try something dangerous again.
He didn't leave the room until he was sure Kane was asleep.
Meanwhile, Daniel sat alone in the study, frustrated.
He unbuttoned his shirt and stared out the window into the night.
No one dared to disturb him on this day, as he was always in a bad mood.
Railer's disappearance had only made things worse.
Philip was unsure whether to tell Daniel about what he had found today.
After thinking it over, he knocked on the door, holding Kane's medical report.
When he entered, Daniel's intense presence caught him off guard.
Daniel gave him a cold stare and asked, "What's going on? Did something happen to Rai?"
Philip stammered, "Y-Yes! O-Oh, wait, no!"
Daniel frowned and asked, "What's going on?"
"Don't worry, nothing's wrong with Rai. I gave him a full check-up, and all the reports show he's fine. He's been talking to me all afternoon, almost like he's trying to make up for all the time he lost these past years," Philip explained.
He took a step back, making sure to stay out of Daniel's personal space, knowing the man was usually irritable on this day.
Daniel's expression darkened. "Then why are you worried?" he asked.
