Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: In Every World or Life

I am in a grass field?

What?

I looked around—it's beautiful and wonderful. Suddenly, a voice called out to me:

"Big brother."

I turned and saw her—it was my sister from my past life. I stood there, shocked. I tried to walk toward her, but then another familiar voice called out:

"Big brother."

I turned again, and there she was—Reu, my sister in this life.

Both of them were here. I felt overwhelmed with happiness—

Suddenly, the serene grass field turned into a burning hell in an instant. I was frozen in shock, unable to understand what was happening.

Then, I heard my sister's voice screaming for help. I ran toward her, but before I could reach her, Reu began screaming for help as well.

What should I do? How can I save them both? Panic consumed me, and then a voice from behind screamed my name:

"Zeyu!"

I turned and saw him—my dad.

"Dad..."

Everything went black.

---

As I slowly opened my eyes, I found myself lying on the ground. Voices echoed around me.

"Oh, looks like he's awake," one said.

"Yeah, looks like he is," another replied.

I looked up, my vision slowly clearing, and saw them—two beasts.

One had wings, the other had a spiky body with four glowing eyes.

"Good morning," the winged beast said mockingly.

I tried to move, but my hands were bound by strange ropes—no, not ordinary ropes, but ropes made of magic.

As I processed the situation, memories of what had happened came flooding back. My dad... he was eaten.

I screamed in rage:

"I'll kill you all!"

My fury surged, and the ropes disintegrated.

The two beasts leapt back, startled.

"What a large amount of mana this boy has," the four-eyed beast remarked. "It's impressive."

The winged beast added, "Yeah, how can a human have this much mana?"

I stood there, consumed by rage, a single thought driving me—I wanted to kill them.

The four-eyed beast said something chilling: "So that's why the Holy Spirit barrier was broken."

I froze, confused. "What are you talking about?"

The winged beast laughed. "Hahaha! That's right, boy. You. You are the reason the Holy Spirit barrier was broken. Your mana was so powerful that the barrier couldn't handle it, and we beasts were able to attack."

I stood there in silence, trying to comprehend his words.

(Mana? What does that mean?)

The four-eyed beast stepped forward. "Let me show you." He closed two of his eyes and pointed at me.

Suddenly, I could see it—a dark red energy swirling around me. It was terrifying, massive, and overwhelming.

"This is your mana," the beast said, withdrawing his power.

I fell to my knees, trembling.

"It's... it's me...?"

The winged beast laughed again. "It's your fault that they all died. It's your fault this happened!"

Their words echoed in my mind as I tried to process everything.

As I knelt there, the beast that killed my father began to approach me slowly.

The four-eyed beast says to wing best. "Let's go. He'll die too."

And with that, they flew away.

The beast behind me opened its massive mouth, ready to devour me.

I clenched my fists in rage.

"GO TO HELL, MOTHERFUCKERS!"

I turned and punched the beast, causing it to explode into pieces.

The two flying beasts turned back, shocked.

I pulled out the hunter card I had received and hurled it at them. It pierced the winged beast's forehead.

He screamed in pain. "You son of a bitch! I'll kill you!"

He tried to charge at me, but the four-eyed beast stopped him.

"Let it go," he said. "We've done enough."

I yelled after them: "You're the ones who attacked this place! You killed them all, you bastards!"

The winged beast snarled. "Next time I see you, I'll eat you alive, you little shit!"

I screamed back: "Next time I see you, I'll kill you! I'll destroy your entire race! I'll destroy this fucking world!"

They flew away, disappearing into the sky.

I collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down my face. I punched the dirt in frustration and despair.

"Dammit... Dammit all!"

Then, a memory flashed in my mind—my home, my village, my mother saying:

"Don't worry. Our land is protected by Holy Spirit energy."

My eyes widened in horror.

"No..."

I stood up slowly.

"I need to go... I need to go to Reu... I need to go to Mom."

I ran as fast as I could back to my village.

When I arrived, my heart shattered.

The land was burning, smoke filled the air, and bodies lay everywhere. Blood soaked the ground.

But none of that mattered. All I cared about was Mom and Reu.

I reached my house, stepping through the door. I smiled weakly and said:

"Mom... Reu... I'm back—"

My words caught in my throat.

Before me was my mom's severed head and Reu's headless body lying beside her.

"No... no... no... no... NoNoNoNoNoNo!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs:

"WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

Tears streamed down my face as I fell to my knees.

"Why can't I ever be happy? In every life, in every world, it's the same! Curse this world! Curse every world! I'll destroy everything!"

Suddenly, a door in the back of the house opened, and a red, five-legged beast emerged.

"Well, well," it said. "Look who's here. Is this your family? Too bad—they were delicious. Now, you'll be my dessert-."

I dashed toward it, grabbing its neck and slamming it into the ground.

It screamed in pain, but I didn't stop. I punched it over and over, breaking the ground beneath us.

I tore its stomach open and threw its remains aside.

Standing amidst the destruction, my eyes burned with rage, and my heart was filled with a singular purpose:

"I'll kill every one of you."
