When the door closed, Kylie finally breathed. Opening her eyes, she looked at the IV that had been contaminated. Shaking her head, she smiled when she saw the needle wasn't inserted in her hand anymore. She had removed it when she had gone to see herself in the mirror.
"So, they plan on making sure I'm dead….."
Isn't Caleb supposed to be my fiancé? Why is he following Cecily about like a puppet?
Relaxing more on the bed, Kylie thought hard, swimming through memories as she looked for a possible reason that might be the reason for the hate. She sighed when the only thing she saw was memories of Ayla being repeatedly maltreated by her own family, even when she did nothing wrong.
The door opened and the doctor came in, looking surprised to see Kylie awake.
"Hello Mrs Ayla, how are you feeling?" He asked, as he adjusted his eyeglass.
"I'm fine." She replied, watching him closely.
"When the nurse informed me that you were awake, I thought she might be mistaken. Are you sure you're feeling okay?" He asked as he came closer to her and took a careful look at her eyes.
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just feeling extremely weak."
"It's understandable. Though seeing you awake is very good news, we need to run some checks on you to make sure you are indeed, fine."
The doctor was amazed. When she had screamed and passed out hours ago, he had thought she wouldn't make it because of the uneven beat of her heart. This is truly a miracle!
"What is there to check?" Kylie had to ask. Just minutes ago, she was almost killed, she wasn't going to take any more chances.
"Apart from the fact that you've surprised us by looking fine despite the previous results, we think you might have psychiatry."
"What? No, I don't. I'm completely fine, I don't need more checks." Kylie said, looking calm.
"Before you passed out, you seemed to be going through an identity crisis, you might not remember."
"I am totally fine…."
"What is your name?" The doctor asked. He needed to be sure she was fine like she claimed.
"K_Ayla."
"Again". The doctor said, He had seen the slight confusion in her eyes just now.
"Ayla, I am Ayla."
"Wonderful." He said. She seemed totally fine now and even more lively.
"I told you I'm fine. Please, why was I brought here?" Kylie needed all the information she could get, so she knows how to handle this whole situation.
"You were brought here because you passed out on your wedding night. We think you were under too much stress." He said.
"Right." Kylie muttered.
"Do you need anything?"
"Uhh yes, I need food, I'm famished."
"Okay. I'll call your mother immediately so she can bring you something to eat". He said.
"Also, you can discard this IV, I don't need it anymore."
"Okay."
After a few minutes of assessing her, he finally concluded that she was fine. Straightening his coat, he took one last look at the girl and left.

Cecily almost jumped in excitement when her phone screen lit up with an incoming call from the hospital.
She was currently inside her car, sitting elegantly with Caleb rubbing her arm tenderly. She had not bothered going home, she knew they would call her soon.
"What's the need of going far when I'll be called soon?" She had told Caleb when he suggested they go to his house. He was sometimes annoying, chickening away at the slightest sign of danger.
Clearing her throat and preparing to cry when she picked the call, she adjusted in her seat.
"Hello doctor." She weakly said.
"Hello madam. Ayla is awake and she has requested for food. Are you_
"Excuse me?" Cecily interrupted, her throat suddenly dry. Surely, she didn't hear him well?
"Ayla is awake and she is hungry. Can you come over with some food?" The doctor repeated.
"She's awake?" She repeated, her heartbeat increasing. She shared a confused look with Caleb, wondering what was going on.
"Yes ma'am. This is Cecily right?" The doctor questioned.
"Yes doctor. Thank you so much. I'll be right there." She answered and then hung up. She didn't want to give anything away.
"Holy shit!" Caleb said, rubbing his face.
"How did this happen? How is she alive right now!" Cecily said, staring angrily at Caleb.
"Why are you looking at me? I did everything you asked, this is not me." Caleb protested in defense. He couldn't allow himself to be wronged.
"You have always chickened out of anything I ask you to do! Are you sure you injected everything into the IV?"
"Yes, I swear it! You saw me do it, didn't you?" Caleb quickly said.
"I know I saw you but this doesn't explain how she's awake and even asking for food!"
"Even if I didn't inject everything, it is impossible for her to survive even if it's just a small dose."
"Why is eliminating that bitch this hard!!"
Back in the hospital room, Kylie waited patiently for Cecily and Caleb to arrive. She smiled as she thought of the look of shock on their faces when the doctor told them she was awake.
'Ha! I would love to see them confused, wondering how I'm alive.'
"But I need to be very careful with them, they will seize any chance to kill me again."
The door opened and an unsettled looking Cecily with an anxious looking Caleb walked in, staring at her with wide eyes.
Kylie didn't blink, she continued staring at them coldly till their resolve crumbled.
"Ayla dear, you're awake!" Cecily exclaimed , rushing to her side. As she walked, she pulled a scared Caleb along with her. The exchange didn't go unnoticed by Kylie but she ignored it.
"Hey baby". Caleb uttered, now coming to stand by her.
"Where is my food?" Kylie asked, noticing they weren't holding any food.
"Oh no, we forgot. When the doctor told us you were awake, we rushed here in excitement and forgot. Don't worry, Caleb will go and get you something real quick." Cecily concluded with a smile.
"No worries, I will go and get it myself." Kylie said, dismissing them with just a glance.
'What nonsense!' Cecily wondered. How dare she treat them this way! Her face hurt from smiling so bad at this damn bitch but she still has an attitude?
