Neil stood there looking at her like there was something wrong with her, he didn't say a word, just stood there looking at her like she had said the worst thing in human history.
"You want a divorce? Is that what you want Erica?" Neil looked at her and then didn't say anything else, he wanted her to say the same thing again.
"That is what I want, I want to be free and make sure that there is no way I would be held down with you anymore." I want to be free and make sure that I can live my life." Rachel was not even looking at him, it was clear she had made up her mind.
Paul held Erica's waist firmly and smirked, "She wants to be with a real man. So why don't you run along and leave this to me? You do not deserve all this, if you look at it we are actually doing you a favour by taking away something that would kill you eventually."
Neil stood there looking at both of them, there was no emotion in his eyes. He was just looking at her like there was nothing there for him to say. "I see you have made your choice, there is no need for me to try and talk you out of it."
Rachel looked at Justin, she didn't feel anything but Joy when she got his response. It was like he had finally decided to leave her. "That is what I want and I will never regret my decision to leave you."
"I hope you don't, there is no way I would even want to be with someone like you in my life again.''Neil turned around, he was going to walk out of the house, but there was nothing left for him to do there. He was tired and there was no way he would even think of trying to make her see him as a better man.
"Run along now, I know you will soon meet a homeless poor wife that suits you." Paul was mocking Justin, he wanted to make sure that there was nothing that would keep him in the house longer than he was meant to be.
Neil didn't say any other word, he walked out of the room slowly holding his head high and not even trying to see if they were going to say it was a prank.
Rachel watched her husband leave, she was the one who wanted the divorce but there was nothing that would prepare her to feel pain and regret.
'Why do I feel like I am losing someone important in my life? He is nothing but a waste of time and I will never regret leaving him for anything.' Rachel tried to reassure herself, Neil didn't even look back he was not going to be insulted ever again.
He was fed up with it all and wanted to make sure he didn't let anyone make fun of him again. It was going to be the last that anyone would even think of making fun of him.
"I will not even let her creep back into my life even if it is the last thing I do," Neil said as he walked out of the building, he was still in a rage trying not to say anything that would make him even think of stopping what had started.
Neil took out his phone to call Claire, he wanted her to make sure that she stopped the party that she was preparing for Rachel and everything before she came over to the house.
"Sir, I have prepared everything and just so you know I even called the people back."
"Claire stop all that please there is no need for you to bother yourself over something that won't make any sense."
Neil was so better when he was saying those words that it made him almost want to throw up.
"What do you mean Lord Justin? You are the one who said that I should prepare a gift for your wife and now you are telling me to stop everything. Are you sure everything is okay?"
"Nah everything is fine, just the fact that I am having a divorce in the next two days that is all. I need to head over to my in-laws house to pick up some of my things."
Neil was not even happy that he was doing any of what he was currently doing but he was going to make sure that nothing would even make him feel a bit bad in the first place.
"You don't sound okay, I will be there in ten minutes," Claire said before hanging up the phone, Neil was still a bit angry at himself for even thinking that Rachel would love him for who he was at that time and not see him as a fool who needed to be placed in a homeless shelter.
Neil entered the cab to head to Erica's mother's house, nothing was stopping him from telling her what Rachel did. It was the right thing to do and make sure that he didn't leave the wrong impression on them.
Neil got to the house, he walked in and his mother-in-law was on the phone. "He just stepped in, dear, I will call you back when I can."
Alissa Erica's mother put down the phone to look at Justin, he was a bit confused when he felt the hostility coming from her.
"What in the world are you doing here?" She looked at Neil with a stern look on her face, she didn't need to say anything to let Neil know that she was not happy that he was in her house.
