The Lamplighter was on his regular duty guding the seemingly infinite mob of spirits toward the Room of Judgemnt using his lantern, the lanters he used wasn't just any lantern, it was the lantern of the pastor, it had the ability to guide most spirits toward the afterlife with its azure flame. The Lamplighter kept this treasurous item in his right hand at most times, he used it as his primarly means of fulfilling his duties as the overworlds guide.
As the Lamplighter was doing this just like how he does it at all times, he could see in the distance, that some spirits were trying to escape his guding lights influence, they were souls, that willed not to enter the Room of Judgement, he stepped over to these irregular souls in no time while he left his lantern where he was standing. He started chanting something in an ununderstandable language, after that the few souls infront of him seemed to have lost their will, and they just joined up to the river of souls leading to the Room of Judgement. In the meanwhile the Lamplighter decided to visit the Room of Judgement himself, as he grew somewhat bored of his job of guidance, this occured every few decades, the Lamplighter was most definitely an otherwordly entity, he has lived over millions of years, however his body was originally most humanlike, he eventually lost his eyesight from the darkness of the abyss, but a couple of hundred years later he has accidentally accepted an errand from one of the creating Godesses of the Overworld, and from her he has recieved a blessing of "Absolute Sight", this mean, he could see many things a normal human eye couldn't such as emotions, or truth, and even spiritual energy outlines, however, he could not see in the way he used to be able to. As the godess told him, if he loses something such as his eyesight, by the laws of creation of the world, he may never be able to obtain the exact same thing, as he lost.
As the Lamplighter was generally very liked among the Godesses and Gods, he recieved many gifts and relics, as well, as enhancements, he was somewhat like a son to them, but none of them truely knew of his origins, or how and when he came to do what he is doing now.
As he entered the Room of Judgement, he put down, his inhumanly sized backpack, and turned of the lantern in his hand towitch the spirits inside were swarming intensely.
A few seconds after his entry, he could hear a voice in his head, the voice was the voice of the manager of Judgement, her name was Theta, and the voice suggested that he takes a seat in the room at the end of the corridor to his left; as soon as the words formed in the LAmplighters mind, a corridor to his right appeared, his backpack which he had leaned against the wall that has now became a corridor fell over. After he adjusted the placemnt of his backpack, he stepped into the room Theta mentioned to him, at the very moment he took his seat Theta appeared sitting infront of him, she gently smiled at Lamplighter, and said:
-How long was it again, around 70 years I have not seen you for I belive, your last quest must have been rough, I hope you at least had fun doing it.
-Mmhhm. Looking as elegant as ever Theta-oneesan. I am looking for a new job!
-I only have shorter errands for you at the moment, if you wish you could take multiple at the same time.
-I will do that than, please put them in my backpack as you usually do. See you 10 years after I have completed these as usual.
-Good luck Lamplighter!
As he left the room the Lamplighter took the fist request out of his backpack, and started to read it.
