The Rice Spoon Snake and Mongoose Slash are two Pokémon that have been enemies for generations. This deep-seated rivalry is almost instinctive, rooted in the memories of their ancestors. Whenever these two creatures meet, their battle is inevitable and relentless, only ending when one of them falls. This natural animosity has puzzled many researchers, as no one has ever found a way to make them coexist peacefully.
Black Feather watched the battle unfold with a quiet smile. He knew that the Rice Spoon Snake and Mongoose Slash wouldn't back down. These creatures were known for fighting to the death, and today would be no different. He had learned from his past experiences that this was the kind of battle where one Pokémon would not retreat until the other was defeated.
The Rice Spoon Snake was ferocious. It spat out its long, forked tongue, its venomous fangs dripping poison as it sank them into the Mongoose Slash. The snake's tail lashed out like a steel whip, making a sharp, cutting sound as it attacked. It was quick, agile, and used its flexibility to wrap around the Mongoose Slash in an attempt to squeeze the life out of it.
However, the Mongoose Slash wasn't one to be outdone. Its sharp claws gleamed in the sunlight, and with swift, expert movements, it avoided the snake's attacks, making calculated counterstrikes. The battle was brutal, with neither side willing to give in. The venom from the Rice Spoon Snake filled the air, creating a sharp, pungent smell that made anyone nearby feel uneasy.
Despite the venomous attacks, the Mongoose Slash skillfully dodged, using its speed and agility to its advantage. It countered the Rice Spoon Snake's attacks by striking with its claws, taking advantage of any opening. Black Feather, knowing the strengths of both Pokémon, realized that the Mongoose Slash had a distinct advantage. It was naturally immune to poison, thanks to its special characteristics. This made it particularly dangerous to the Rice Spoon Snake, which relied heavily on poison to defeat its enemies.
The battle raged on, with both Pokémon taking heavy hits. Blood soaked their fur and scales, and their breath grew heavier and more labored. The once-clear ground was now littered with the signs of their fierce struggle. Despite their injuries, neither Pokémon was willing to back down. The tension in the air was thick, and both creatures seemed to be waiting for the other to make a mistake.
Black Feather watched carefully, analyzing the situation. He knew that the Rice Spoon Snake, despite its strength, was likely to lose. The Mongoose Slash's ability to shrug off poison attacks meant it could outlast the snake. However, he also knew that battles like these could turn at any moment. Even though the snake was on the back foot, it might still have a chance to turn the tide. But Black Feather was confident the outcome was inevitable.
As the sun climbed higher into the sky, the heat became almost unbearable. The relentless sun beat down on the fighters, adding to their exhaustion. The ground seemed to shimmer in the heat, and the atmosphere grew thick with the scent of sweat and blood. Both the Rice Spoon Snake and Mongoose Slash were exhausted, their movements slowing as they struggled to stay on their feet.
Yet, despite their exhaustion, their determination remained strong. Their eyes locked on each other, and the hatred between them was palpable. Both Pokémon were ready to keep fighting until one of them fell. The battle would end only when the victor stood over the defeated foe.
Just when the situation seemed to reach its peak, a loud voice broke through the tense silence.
"Toucan, use the straight drill on the Rice Spoon Snake!" Black Feather commanded.
The suddenness of the command caught both Pokémon off guard. They didn't have time to react before a shadow darted out from the bushes, moving at an incredible speed. It was the toucan. With a powerful flap of its wings, it created a gust of wind that swept through the air, sending leaves and dust swirling. The toucan's beak gleamed with energy as it charged forward, gathering power in its attack.
The Rice Spoon Snake, exhausted and unable to react quickly enough, was hit by the toucan's straight drill. The toucan spun rapidly, its body becoming a blur of motion as it drilled into the snake with tremendous force. The attack sent the Rice Spoon Snake flying backward, crashing into a large tree with a sickening thud. The snake slid down the tree, unmoving.
For a moment, there was silence. The Mongoose Slash stood frozen, staring at the scene in disbelief. It hesitated for a brief moment, then, sensing that the fight was over, it turned and retreated into the forest, disappearing into the trees.
Black Feather didn't pursue it. He knew better than to chase after a retreating Pokémon, especially in a forest as dangerous as this one. There was always a risk of running into something even more dangerous.
With the Rice Spoon Snake knocked out, Black Feather wasted no time in capturing it. He threw a Poké Ball, and it clicked shut as the snake was caught inside.
"Beep beep~~"
The Pokédex chimed as the Rice Spoon Snake's information appeared on the screen:
"Rice Spoon Snake, a poison-type Pokémon. Known for its battles with the Mongoose Slash. Height: 2.7 meters, Weight: 50 kilograms. Characteristics: Molting. Moves: Tight Binding, Bluffing, Biting, Poison Tail, Feint, Piercing Sound, Venom Shock, Snake Stare, Poisonous Fangs, Venom Trap, Sneak Attack. Inherited Move: Iron Tail."
Black Feather was pleased. The Rice Spoon Snake was level 27, and it had inherited the powerful Iron Tail move. He knew it would fetch a good price on the black market.
He glanced around, thinking that the snake's nest might be nearby. He quickly found a cave a few hundred meters away. The entrance was hidden, but the pungent odor gave it away. Inside the cave, Black Feather found several shed snake skins, some old and some fresher. He estimated that the most recent skin had been shed less than half a month ago.
"This is perfect," Black Feather thought. He knew that the snake's skin could be valuable. He also had another task to complete that involved collecting toxins, and the Rice Spoon Snake's venom would be useful for that.
He decided it was time to head back. The sun was beginning to set, and Black Feather didn't want to be caught out in the forest after dark. He mounted his toucan, and together they flew back toward the city.
Back at the Pokémon Center, Black Feather submitted the task for collecting toxins and received a reward of 180,000 alliance coins. He then took the snake skin to the appraiser, who confirmed it was in excellent condition and offered him 20,000 alliance coins for it.
In total, Black Feather earned 200,000 alliance coins from the day's work. His wallet was looking much healthier, and he was satisfied with the outcome of his adventure.
With the job completed, Black Feather knew he had made good progress in his journey. There was always more to do, more Pokémon to capture, and more challenges to face. But for now, he could rest easy, knowing he had succeeded once again.
