Chapter 33 - Part 32 - Facing the Limits

Day by day, the training grew more intense. The soldiers chosen by each of the heroes continued to be pushed to their limits with increasingly challenging methods. All the soldiers began to feel the pressure, both physical and mental. Every conversation, every step they took in the training field was filled with anxiety about what would come next. The darkness was drawing closer, and they knew there was no time to relax.

Ethan stood in front of the line of magical sword soldiers, his eyes scanning the warriors who were training in the open field. The weather was beginning to cool, the evening wind blowing gently, yet the heat from the ongoing battle before his eyes still lingered. The soldiers looked exhausted, sweat soaking their bodies, but their resolve was evident.

"Let's continue!" Ethan shouted, his voice loud and full of spirit. "You are all much stronger than before! No one can stop you now. Remember, your magic is a part of you—master it!"

One of the soldiers, a young woman who appeared thinner than the others, raised her sword made of glowing metal. With a bit of confusion, she channeled her magical energy through the sword, creating a dazzling flash of light. However, when she swung the sword at her opponent, the movement appeared stiff, not fully controlled.

Ethan quickly approached, observing carefully. "Control your movements. Don't rush!" he said gently, but there was firmness in his tone. "Try to feel the flow of magic through your sword. You're not commanding it; you're working with the magic."

The young woman looked at Ethan with eyes full of doubt, but nodded. Slowly, she raised her sword again and tried to focus on the magical sensation flowing through it. In a few seconds, the magical aura began to stabilize, more directed, although there was still some tension in her sword movements.

"Good," Ethan said, offering a small smile. "You're beginning to understand the essence of this battle. Keep going."

Ethan stepped back, then turned to face the entire line. "Each of you must learn how to collaborate with this power. There's no room for doubt, no room for fear. Only through control will we win."

Elsewhere, Lila watched the mind control magic group training. Under her guidance, they were not only learning to control the minds of enemies but also to maintain control over their own minds. "If you can control the enemy's mind, you must first be able to control yourself," she said firmly. "Don't let your emotions control you."

One of the younger soldiers, who had seemed somewhat fragile before, sat with his eyes closed, trying to feel the magic within himself. When he opened his eyes, he immediately locked gazes with his opponent—a female soldier holding a sword. Without saying a word, the young soldier focused, attempting to tap into his mental power. In an instant, the female soldier's face became confused, as if she didn't know what was happening around her.

Lila nodded in satisfaction. "You're starting to master this technique well," she said, placing her hand on one of the soldiers' shoulders. "But remember, this power must be used wisely. Never forget, you could fall victim to the same mind games."

However, there was a slight concern in Lila's heart. Mind control techniques held immense potential, but that potential was also dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands. "It's important to teach them its limits," she thought, "don't let them become too immersed in this mental game."

Meanwhile, Asha was overseeing the healing group, who were training in a special area where they had to treat injuries caused by combat training. The soldiers practiced with intense concentration, trying to overcome the anxiety that arose when they faced blood and horrific wounds. One soldier seemed hesitant when asked to treat a severely wounded comrade.

"Don't be afraid," Asha said gently, walking up to the soldier. "Healing is about focus and calm. Don't let fear take over. You have this ability. Trust yourself."

The soldier looked at Asha for a moment, then nodded slowly. Gently, he placed his hand on his injured comrade's chest, trying to channel healing energy. Within seconds, the wound began to heal, and relief was evident on the face of his comrade.

Asha smiled, pleased, though she knew this was just the first step. "You must be faster and more precise. In real battles, we don't have much time. Heal in the precious seconds you have."

Healing skills in the midst of battle were crucial, but also risky. Asha thought of the great threat drawing nearer and knew that their ability to survive depended on their speed and precision in dealing with fatal wounds.

On the other side, Rowan stood in the middle of the field, his eyes observing the fire group as they trained. With meticulous attention, he gave them instructions on how to control fire in the form of direct attacks. "Control your power," Rowan said in a calm but authoritative voice. "This power can be a very powerful tool, but only if you can control it."

One of the fire group soldiers raised his hand, and red fire shot from his fingertips. However, in his excitement, the fire spread out of control, consuming the ground around them. Rowan quickly stepped forward, directing his hand to quell the growing flames.

"Don't let the fire control you!" Rowan shouted, his eyes glaring at the soldier. "Give the fire space, let it flow, but you must lead it. Don't let emotions or fear make you lose control."

With a bit of nervousness, the soldier nodded and tried again, this time more carefully. The fire that emerged from his hand felt more controlled, though still slightly shaky. Rowan watched this development carefully, hoping they would soon master such a dangerous power.

All the soldiers trained by the heroes were now starting to feel the weight of the burden. Their task was not only to master the art of combat or control magic, but also to face the limits within themselves. They had to learn how to adapt to the power they carried, and more importantly, how to control it wisely.

---

One week passed, and the increasing pressure seemed to have changed the atmosphere of the training. The troops selected by the heroes were now more tightly bound in stronger bonds, though anxiety and fear still haunted them. Under tireless guidance, the soldiers began to show progress—though at times, doubt still lingered in their hearts.

Ethan stood before the magic sword group, his eyes observing every movement of the soldiers with great attention. Today, the training was harder than before. The soldiers were not only practicing basic techniques but also facing more varied opponents, deliberately created to test their mental endurance. Their swords gleamed with magical energy, but each of their movements seemed filled with doubt.

"Focus!" Ethan shouted, his voice firm and commanding. "Don't just rely on your sword. You must become one with its power. Don't let your magic doubt you!"

One of the soldiers, who had previously shown progress, paused for a moment. Her face was filled with concern, and her hands trembled as she lifted her sword. "I... can't... control this," she whispered, her voice almost lost in the bustle of the training.

Ethan stepped forward, his gaze sharp but understanding. "Control yourself first. Don't let fear dominate you." He reached out and patted the soldier's shoulder. "Try again. Fear is part of this journey—we can only face it, not run from it."

The soldier nodded slowly and, with a deep breath, tried to regain control of her magic. With a gentler motion, she swung her sword. This time, though doubt still lingered, the flash of light produced was more focused, more stable. Ethan gave a small smile. "Good. You're beginning to understand the essence of this training."

Meanwhile, Lila led the mind control training, focusing on strengthening the mental resilience of the soldiers. She had them practice in increasingly difficult conditions, with various distractions designed to test their concentration. The soldiers sat in meditation positions, trying to access their psychic powers while Lila sent waves of mental disturbances to disrupt their focus.

"Don't let external influences affect your mind," Lila said, her eyes carefully watching every reaction. "Remember, the first control is self-control. If you can control your own thoughts, you can control everything around you."

One soldier, who seemed more anxious than the others, tried to maintain his calm. However, as the wave of disruption hit, his thoughts scattered, confusion taking over. In an instant, he felt as though the whole world was moving around him, disturbing sounds filling his mind.

Lila, quickly noticing signs of failure, stepped closer and gently touched his shoulder. "Calm down, take a breath. Clear your mind. You can overcome this."

The soldier took a deep breath, trying to regain his focus. Slowly, with consistent practice, he began to control the incoming wave. In a few moments, his face appeared calmer, and he refocused on his goal.

Lila nodded in satisfaction, though in her heart, she felt a twinge of concern. Mind control was an incredibly powerful weapon, but if misused, it could turn destructive. "Remember, never overlook the impact of this power. We're not only fighting against external enemies, but also against the fears within ourselves."

On the other side, Asha continued to oversee the healing group, now facing much graver injuries than before. In the latest training session, Asha assigned each healer an important role in treating more severe wounds, striving to improve their speed in responding to critical conditions.

"Heal quickly, but carefully!" Asha said, her eyes moving from one healer to the next. "You must be quicker. In battle, time is everything. A fraction of a second could save a life."

One healer, who had been hesitant before, now appeared more confident. When a soldier suffered a severe wound, she quickly took action and began healing with increasingly refined power. With a firmer touch, the wound began to heal rapidly, and the face of the injured comrade relaxed.

Asha smiled proudly. "You're starting to show good results. But remember, don't let speed compromise the quality of healing. Every second counts."

However, Asha felt a sense of unease creeping into her thoughts. They weren't only facing physical enemies but also a much greater threat. If this army wasn't trained to perfection, they would become easy prey for tougher foes. And at that moment, the anxious feeling that had long been buried began to resurface.

At the far end of the field, Rowan led the fire group with unwavering focus. Every soldier who mastered fire was challenged to use their fire abilities in more advanced forms of attack. This time, however, there was a greater intensity in their training. Rowan added an element of surprise, creating opposition from "enemies" that the soldiers had to face.

"Control your fire," Rowan warned in a firm voice. "If you can do it, that fire will be an unstoppable weapon. But if you fail, you'll burn yourself."

One soldier, who seemed to have an extraordinary fire ability, confidently directed his hand. Red fire shot up high, but this time, it was larger than before. In just seconds, the fire began to spread, heading toward the area around them.

"Don't lose control!" Rowan shouted, his eyes watching closely. "Control the flow of that fire, give it space."

With quick instructions, the soldier finally managed to calm the fire that was about to spiral out of control. His face was flushed from the tension, but he kept the fire directed.

Rowan nodded, though with a look that was not entirely satisfied. "You can do better. But remember, you can still lose if this fire goes wild."

This training was a heavy test for the soldiers, who were beginning to realize that they weren't just fighting visible enemies but also the powers within themselves. In every attack, every healing, and every magical movement, they had to control their fears, or they would lose before the real battle even began.
