The air was electric with anticipation as Shelly took the first step, her sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Her eyes locked onto Alex, a hint of curiosity dancing in their depths. In her mind, she had already predetermined the outcome of this spar. If Alex couldn't even dodge or parry her initial attack, she would halt her assault, sparing him the humiliation of a crushing defeat.
The crowd of students watching from the sidelines shared Shelly's sentiment. They whispered among themselves, their voices laced with disdain. "This will be over in an instant." "He's no match for Shelly." "One hit, and he's done."
Their scepticism was palpable, a collective assumption that Alex would crumble beneath Shelly's superior skill. The stage was set for a swift and merciless victory, with Alex cast in the role of the hapless loser.
But Alex's expression remained serene,
"Oh, you're good, senior Shelly," Alex said, his voice laced with a hint of amusement.
With that, he leaned backwards, dodging Shelly's attack by a hair's breadth. The sword sliced through the air! Whosh!, mere inches from Alex's face.
The students watching from the sidelines breathed a collective sigh of relief. "Wow, what a lucky dodge!" someone whispered. They assumed it was just a coincidence, that Alex had stumbled into a fortunate evasion.
But Shelly's keen eyes narrowed. Her battle-honed instincts told her that Alex's dodge was no accident. He was toying with her, not taking her seriously. A spark of intrigue ignited within her, and she smiled to herself. This was going to be more interesting than she thought,
Shelly unleashed a flurry of attacks, her sword piercing through the air with deadly precision. But Alex dodged and weaved, avoiding each blow with ease. He seemed to be toying with her, his movements almost playful.
But beneath his carefree exterior, a sudden thought emerged in Alex's mind. A sly grin spread across his face as he thought to himself:
"Why don't I just pretend to be weak at the start? I'll take a few fatal blows, and when I'm covered in blood, I'll show them a real show. Fear and blood, ha ha ha... good idea, though."
Alex's eyes gleamed with mischief.
Shelly launched another relentless assault, her sword slicing through the air from multiple angles. Alex dodged and dodged, his movements a blur as he evaded each blow.
The students watching from the sidelines grew restless, their initial excitement giving way to frustration. "Boo!" someone shouted, and soon the crowd was jeering. "Shameless royalty!" they chanted. "He only knows how to dodge! What a coward!"
Their taunts and teases filled the air, but Alex remained focused, although he didn't know if he would be able to win although he never cared about the outcome,
Alex stood his ground. "Senior Shelly, let's make a deal. Why don't you fight me with all you've got?"
Shelly grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I wish I could, but if you give yourself hundred percent in this battle, I'll consider it a fair fight."
Alex nodded eagerly. "Okay, I will give it my all. But I have one more favour to ask you. You've got good potential... why don't you bear my child in the future?" Shelly was beautiful as if a goddess she was in a blue armour dress same as colour of her eyes though her orange hair cascaded down her back giving her the look of a phoenix but Alex was just teasing her.
Shelly's eyes widened in shock. "You are a kid, Alex Agniverta! What are you even saying?"
Oh my, my senior Shelly , how old are you, btw? Though you are saying I'm a kid..."
Shelly's voice trembled slightly. "You kiddo, I am 19!
Alex smiled mischievously. Oh, my heavens,
Shelly's face turned bright red with embarrassment and surprise
Shelly shouted frustrated "Although, if you want to be with me, show me that you are capable of being a man who can give me a taste of battle."
The air was full with tension as Alex and Shelly clashed swords with loud clangs. Every tackle sent shockwaves through the ground, and the students watching from the sidelines gasped in awe.
Shelly's sword sliced through the air, aimed straight for Alex's heart. He dodged at the last second, but Shelly's follow-up attack caught him off guard. A deep gash opened up on his chest, and Alex stumbled backwards, his eyes widening in pain.
"Dear Shelly, you've hurt me," Alex said, his voice laced with tiredness and a mix of shocking admiration.
Shelly's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed intently on Alex. "Don't underestimate me, Alex Agniverta. I'll show you no mercy." though she was holding back.
Alex took a deep breath, his eyes flashing with determination. He charged forward, his sword flashing in the sunlight. The battle was far from over. Shelly takes a defensive stance and parries his attack with her thin white sword although her hand was brushed.
Senior, I think you still aren't showing the full extent of your power," Alex said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Why don't you show me your affinity of magic that so-called gods provided you with your awakening?"
Shelly's expression turned fierce, her gaze burning with intensity. "You want to see my true power, Alex? Very well, I'll show you!" right here right now what I am capable of".
The air around Shelly began to crackle with energy as she summoned her magical affinity. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the sky darkened as if night was falling.
"You will die, Alex Agniverta," Shelly declared, her voice dripping with conviction. "I think it's a good day to die with the hand of your future love."
Alex laughed maniacally, his sword flashing in the fading light. "Ha ha!" he exclaimed, swinging his sword through the air with reckless abandon.
"I think you are right," Alex said, a fierce glint in his eye. "Then I will take your attack as acceptance of my proposal.
The students watched in silent awe as Alex fought on equal footing with Shelly, The teachers were equally shocked, their faces pale and stunned.
But one person remained unmoved: Principal Carlas, who watched the battle with a keen eye, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
Meanwhile, amidst the crowd, a mysterious figure stood shrouded in shadows. His appearance was obscured by black robes, making it impossible to discern his features. He watched the match silently, his presence seemingly unnoticed by the others.
As Shelly took steps forward, her entire being radiated magic. Her sword shimmered with an aura as if the phoenix herself summoned her flames, and she declared loudly, "Alex Agniverta, you are strong, far stronger than I expected! I accept that, but you are still not strong enough to fight me."
"Oh my, my dear love," Alex said with a sly smile, "do you think that?"
"Move from there if you want to live!" Shelly warned, unleashing a mysterious slash of magic that seemed to rival the size of a mountain. The attack was so massive that it threatened to obliterate the entire ground or even the city.
"I hope you live," Shelly said, her sword slicing through the air.
Alex was knocked to the ground, kneeling on all fours. His black robes were shattered, exposing his upper body. He glared up at Shelly with a menacing gaze.
"I think I have taken you too lightly," Alex muttered , however shelly felt her chest heaving with exertion.
The teachers watched in shock, their faces pale and frightened. They wanted to stop the spar, and Miss Albian took a step forward to intervene.
"Stop the match, Shelly! This is getting out of hand!" Miss Albian cried.
But Alex's menacing gaze locked onto Miss Albian, and he growled, "Miss Albian, don't stop the match... if you want to live."
Shelly's voice was heavy with emotion. "You will die, Alex Agniverta. This is just a spar. You have proven yourself already."
Alex whispered, but his voice was clear as day. "Die? Did you say die? Who is dying?"
He shouted, his anger boiling over. "Do you really think I am going to die because of these petty scars and bruises on my body? Do you know who I am? Do you know?" he thundered, his voice echoing across the silent grounds.
Everyone watched in awe, frozen in fear. No one dared to step forward.
Alex's gaze lifted to the sky, which had darkened as if it might rain at any moment. He stood his ground, his feet planted firmly on the earth.
Without using his sword, Alex unleashed his aura, letting it build up inside his body. Then, with a swift motion, he struck the ground with his bare hand.
The earth trembled beneath the impact, and a shockwave rippled outward, sending rocks and debris flying in all directions. The air was filled with the sound of cracking stone and the acrid smell of dust and smoke.
"Do you know who I am?" Alex repeated, his voice dripping with intensity. Tell me Shelly Grevilliea do you know who I am or what? I am and why I exist, shelly trembling from her mouth she uttered a single word No,
He spoke in an unharried tone yet his words dripped with menace and accelerated to a frenetic pace,
Oh so you don't know anything, those who don't know me should not exist in this world who don't know what I am should never try to be my enemy and those who don't know why I exist will become dust by my hands, so witness with your eyes right here right now who I am.
He unleashed, his black aura surging forward like a tidal wave. The shockwaves of his aura were perceivable with eyes crashing into the protective shield that had been created to safeguard the audience.
The shield shimmered and strained under the assault, but Alex's aura proved too powerful. It pierced the shield, sending cracks spider-webbing across its surface.
The audience gasped in horror, stumbling backwards as the shield threatened to collapse. Teachers rushed forward, desperate to reinforce the barrier and protect the spectators.
But Alex's attack showed no signs of relenting. His aura continued to bore into the shield, fueled by his unyielding fury.
Shelly felt a fear she had never experienced before. Every time Alex repeated the sentence, "Do you know who I am?" her dread intensified and His aura pressure didn't let her breathe.
Shelly muttered, her voice laced with pain, "Agniverta... you have won. I surrender. Please... don't unleash your aura anymore."
She stumbled backwards, her eyes wide with terror, as Alex's aura continued to rage out of control. The shield protecting the audience was on the verge of collapse, and Shelly feared that if Alex didn't restrain himself, the consequences would be catastrophic.
She was on her knee "Alex, please!" Shelly begged, her voice cracking with desperation. Her eyes were full of tears "Stop! You're going to destroy everything!"
Alex's aura slowly began to dissipate, and an eerie calmness settled over him. He gazed at Shelly with an intense, piercing stare.
"If you are saying... future love," Alex said, his voice low and husky, "then... as you wish."
The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Alex's words hung in the air. Shelly's eyes locked onto his, and for a moment, time itself appeared to stand still.
