As Lyra finished her warning, the doors of the grand hall burst open, and a tall, imposing figure strode in. He was dressed in ornate armour, adorned with the emblem of Eldrid.
"Your Majesty", the man said, bowing low. "I apologise for the interruption, but I have urgent news from the boarders".
Kaida nodded, recognizing the man as General Thrain, her trusted military advisor.
"What is it General?", she asked. Thrain's expression was grim."Reports are coming in of strange occurrences along the borders. Villages have been attacked, and there a rumours of dark creatures lurking in the shadows".
The room fell silent as the weight of Thrain's words sank in. Just then, a soft voice spoke up from the corner of the room. "If I may, Your Majesty?" Kaida to see one of her servants, a quiet and reserved young woman named Elara, stepping forward.
"Yes Elara?", Kaida asked. Elara curtsied. "I couldn't help but overhear the conversation, Your Majesty. I think I might be able to offer some insights". Kaida's curiosity was quipped. "Please go on",Kaida said.
Elara hesitated before speaking. "I've been noticing strange occurrences in the castle too. Doors opening and closing on their own, and whispers in the night. I think it might be connected to the dark magic that's spreading".
The room erupted into a flurry of murmurs, as the various generals began discussing the implications of Elara's words.
Kaida stood up, her mind racing with possibilities. "We need to take action, and fast. General Thrain, prepare the army for battle.
Lyra can you help us understand more about the dark magic and how to counter-attack it?
Lyra nodded, her eyes gleaming with determination. "I'll do everything I can to help".
As the meeting drew to a close, Kaida felt a sense of determination wash over her. She knew that the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but with the help of her kings, advisors, generals, and servants, she was ready to face the challenges that lay in store for her.
