Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 : Council Of War

The grand hall was abuzz with activity as Kaida, the six kings, and their advisors gathered around the large wooden table. General Thrain stood at the head of the table, a large map of Eldrador spread out before him.

"Your Majesties", Thrain began, his voice grave, "the situation is dire. Reports are coming in of widespread famine and diseases across the realm. Crops are withering and the once-abundant rivers are drying up".

Ryder's face darkened. "What about the people? How are they faring?"

Thrain's expression was somber. "Many are starving, Your Majesty. The dark magic is affecting the land itself, causing crops to fail and livestock to fall I'll and die. We've received reports of entire villages being abandoned, their people fleeing, in search of food and security".

Lyrien's eyes were filled with compassion. "We must do something to help them. We can't just sit back and watch our people suffer". Asher nodded, "I agree. We need to mobilize our armies and send out relief efforts to the affected areas". Kaida's heart ached for her people. She knew that she had to act quickly to alleviate their suffering.

"Erien, can you use your magic to help purify the land?", she asked. Erien nodded. "I'll do what I can, but it won't be easy. The dark magic is powerful and it will take a lot of energy to counteract its effects."

Kieran's eyes narrowed. "I think we should also consider the possibility that the dark magic is being fueled by a powerful sorcerer. If we can find and defeat him, we may be able to break the curse that's affecting the land."

Just then a commotion outside the grand hall caught their attention. The doors burst open, and a young messenger stumbled in, out of breath."

"Yo...Your Majesties", the messenger gasped, I've come from the village of Brindlemark. It's been attacked by dark creatures. The village is in chaos, a lot people have died during the attack and the remaining survivors fled, but they are being pursued by the creatures.

Kaida's heart sank. She knew that she had to act quickly to save her people. "We need to mobilize our armies now!", she said, her voice firm. "We'll send out a relief force to Brindlemark immediately". The six kings nodded in agreement, their faces set determination.

As the council of war came to a close, Kaida felt a sense of trepidation wash over her. She knew that the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but she was ready to face whatever challenges lay in store.
