Chapter 17 - Romance

The group returned home after a long day filled with excitement, celebration, and chaos. As soon as they stepped through the door, Sia and Tina went straight for the small couch in the corner, plopping down with sighs of relief."Finally," Tina groaned, tossing her bag aside. "My feet are killing me."Sia kicked off her shoes, leaning back. "Tell me about it. This day felt like a marathon."But before either of them could get comfortable, Orm and Ling darted past them, securing the big, comfiest sofa for themselves."Too slow!" Orm teased, flopping onto the sofa dramatically. "The throne is ours!"Ling followed, settling beside Orm with a small smirk. "You're such a child."Orm ignored her, immediately laying her head on Ling's lap. "Oh my god," she sighed, closing her eyes. "I'm so exhausted. Ling, do something. Brush my hair. Feed me grapes. Anything."Ling rolled her eyes but smiled, brushing a strand of Orm's hair away from her face. "You're unbelievable.""And you love it," Orm replied, her lips curling into a grin.Ling's fingers moved gently through Orm's hair, untangling it as Orm reached up to play with Ling's hand. The moment was quiet and intimate, their earlier exhaustion fading as they focused entirely on each other."You're so dramatic," Ling murmured, her tone soft.Orm opened one eye to look up at her. "And you're so beautiful. I guess we balance each other out."Ling smirked. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you're buttering me up for something.""Maybe I am," Orm said, sticking out her tongue. The two were so wrapped up in their quiet banter that they completely forgot about Sia and Tina sitting across the room."Do it in your room!" Tina's voice suddenly interrupted, followed by a pillow flying across the room and hitting Orm squarely in the face.Orm bolted upright, startled, while Ling laughed. "Guess we got carried away."Sia groaned. "You think? Watching you two is like watching a live romance drama, and we didn't sign up for this!"Orm, now grinning mischievously, grabbed Ling's hand. "Fine! We'll take the romance elsewhere."She dragged Ling up, ignoring Tina's exaggerated sigh of relief, and headed toward their room.As soon as they entered the room, Orm let go of Ling's hand and closed the door behind her, locking it with a soft click. Her back was against the door as she turned to face Ling, her eyes glinting with playful mischief."Well?" Orm asked, her voice low and teasing. "Are you not going to treat me as promised?"Ling raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Oh? You're demanding now?"Orm shrugged, her grin widening. "I think I've earned it. Don't you?"Ling didn't answer immediately. Instead, she stepped closer, placing one hand on the door beside Orm's head and the other gently tilting Orm's chin up. Her knee nudged between Orm's legs, slowly and deliberately.Orm's breath hitched, her cheeks flushing. "Ling…""You're so easy to tease," Ling murmured, leaning in until their lips were just a breath apart.Without waiting for a response, Ling captured Orm's lips in a slow, deep kiss. Her hand moved to Orm's waist, pulling her closer as her other hand tangled in Orm's hair. Orm melted into the kiss, her hands gripping Ling's shoulders for support as her knees grew weak.Ling pulled back slightly, her lips brushing against Orm's ear. "You're mine," she whispered, her voice sending shivers down Orm's spine.Orm could only nod, her heart pounding as Ling's lips moved to her neck. She kissed and nipped softly, leaving faint marks as she trailed down. Orm's hands tightened on Ling's shoulders, her head tilting back against the door."You're too good at this," Orm murmured, her voice shaky.Ling chuckled against her skin. "I told you not to underestimate me."Her lips moved lower, but before things could escalate further, a loud knock on the door startled them both."LING!" Sia's voice called from the other side. "Hurry up! We need to talk about something!"Orm froze, her eyes wide. Ling let out a frustrated sigh, resting her forehead against Orm's."We can't get five minutes, can we?" Ling muttered.Orm stifled a laugh, whispering, "It's your fault for being so irresistible."Ling flicked Orm's forehead, making her yelp. "Focus," she said, stepping back.Ling opened the door, but Orm was still too flustered to follow."Are you coming or not?" Ling asked, raising an eyebrow.Orm shook her head. "You go first. I need a minute."Ling rolled her eyes but smirked as she left. "Don't take too long, drama queen."Orm took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart before stepping out. When she finally emerged, Tina smirked at her. "Took you long enough. What were you two doing in there?"Orm's face turned bright red. "Nothing!" she said quickly, avoiding everyone's gaze."Sure," Sia said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Nothing at all."As the group gathered in the living room, Sia's boyfriend, Saint, spread out a map and some brochures on the coffee table."Alright," he began, clapping his hands together. "I've got the perfect plan for all of us. A weekend trip to the mountains! Fresh air, hot springs, hiking trails—it's going to be amazing."Tina leaned over, flipping through one of the brochures. "This does look pretty good. What do you think, Sia?"Sia nodded. "I'm in. What about you two?"Orm's eyes lit up. "Sounds awesome! Ling, what do you think?"Ling hesitated, her arms crossed. "We have exams coming up. I don't think we should go."Orm pouted, leaning against her. "Come on, Ling. We need a break.""No," Ling said firmly. "We can't afford to waste time."Orm smirked, her voice dropping to a soft whisper. "What if I make it worth your while?"Ling blinked, her cheeks turning pink. "Orm…""Please?" Orm murmured, her fingers lightly tracing circles on Ling's arm. "You've been working so hard. Don't you deserve to relax?"Ling sighed, clearly torn. Orm leaned in, brushing her lips against Ling's ear. "For me?"Ling groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Fine! But only because you're so annoying."Orm grinned triumphantly, throwing her arms around Ling. "You're the best!"Tina smirked. "Wow, Orm. You've got her wrapped around your finger."Ling shot her a glare. "Keep talking, and I'll leave you behind."The group laughed, their excitement for the trip growing as they finalized the details.
