Kael was stunned when Lyra suddenly kissed him. His wolf growled within him, having longed for her for far too long. But something felt off. He knew something was wrong, and he refused to take advantage of the situation.
"Lyra..." he murmured, touching her arm as he gently tried to pull her away. But instead of letting go, Lyra wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I thought you wanted me?" she whispered before capturing his lips again.
Kael groaned in frustration. If Lyra didn't stop, he wasn't sure he could hold himself back.
"I do, Lyra. But not like this," he said, his voice strained.
He tried again to put some distance between them, but Lyra was already pressing soft kisses along his neck. The sensation sent an electric jolt through him, awakening something primal inside.
"I want you, Kael," Lyra breathed between ragged breaths.
