"It's alright, Ma, just continue pushing; I can see a head, but the head…." A loud shout could be heard coming from a midwife. She was talking to a middle-aged woman on the bed who was in the process of child delivery.
"What happened to the head?" A woman's shout came from the bed.
"Nothing, just continue pushing, ma," the woman was speechless; this was because the baby's hair was unnaturally white, which was surprising considering the fact that neither of his parents hair was that color.
…
After a few agonizing minutes, the child was safely delivered, and the midwife rushed out happily to call Raphael, Anna's husband and the prince of the Aloria kingdom. Soon he came rushing in with the midwife. He looked like a middle-aged man; his face looked cold and aloof. It was as though his cold gaze could freeze one's heart.
But at this moment his cold eyes seemed to contain a hint of warmth in them. He looked at the child in the hands of his wife, and a faint smile could be seen on his lips, but there was also a trace of surprise, "Why is his hair white?" the man asked his wife, hiding his shock.
Anna was curious too, and just as she was about to give her suggestion concerning this matter, a loud shout came from behind, "Excuse me, let me see my fourth grandson!" An old man with grey hair came from behind as he pushed Raphael away and came towards Anna. Without asking her, he grabbed her son from her hands, causing her to frown.
He grabbed the baby's wrist, ignoring the baby's white hair, and after a few moments he muttered, "He seems like a strong one; he will soon be on the battlefield."
"Father!" Raphael couldn't help but say, but the old man ignored him and gave the child back to Anna before turning to leave.
Raphael couldn't help but sigh as he turned to his wife, "Don't mind Father; he is just worried about us giving birth to a weak son, so what shall we call him?" He asked his wife, changing the topic.
"I don't know; how about Kranos, because my son will grow to the level of gods?" Anna said with a gleam in her eyes, it was as though she could already predict the future of her own child.
"Kranos it is!" Raphael readily agreed.
What they didn't notice was that the baby that previously cried as soon as he was brought out of the womb was now staring at everything in amazement. To think it really happened! I have traversed through time, so it was true that everyone has a second life!
But why do I have the memories of my previous life? This isn't supposed to be so, or could it be because of the antique watch? He gazed at everyone and everything with interest; it seems those two are my parents. He thought as he looked towards the couple that was talking in a language he couldn't understand; of course, he only came to this conclusion because the woman was lying on the bed and was the one holding him in her arms.
She looked like quite a beauty with long black hair; in contrast to his father's short brown hair, her eyes were also a shade of hazel red, while that of his dad was cold and dark. But I'm curious, why is my hair so white? Could it be because I was an old man in my past life? But it seems like it is made of silk; there is definitely something strange about my hair!
Kranos was surprised that his hair was pure white; it was as though his hair was pure and holy and couldn't be tainted. He was also surprised about something else as he looked at his new mother: didn't she just give birth to me? Why does she look so energetic? But Kranos knew he wouldn't be getting the answer to any of his questions now.
Huh? Why do I feel so tired and sleepy? Err… the next moment his breathing turned peaceful as he fell into a deep sleep. Kranos, who had mysteriously come to this world, finally had a peaceful sleep after a long time.
…
Time flowed smoothly, and soon two months had passed since Kranos came to this world. He had already gained some information about this world; the first thing he understood was that this wasn't Earth, where he was from. He didn't know the name of this planet, but he was sure that it wasn't Earth.
Firstly, the language they spoke was very different from anything that existed on earth; their dressing culture, along with their building design, was extremely unique.
Secondly and most importantly, Kranos had come to discover something that shocked him to his core: this was a magical world! He didn't dare believe it at first, but after seeing his parents and some servants displaying their magical arts, he was forced to believe it.
From the knowledge he had gathered, he had only seen occasional usage of fire, water, earth, wind, and light magic usage.
At times his mother used her fire spell to keep him warm because it was currently winter season. When she carried him out on a stroll to see the scenery around, he saw others using some more elemental spells.
Kranos was shocked; he felt that he couldn't understand anything happening; because of this, he came to a decision: he needed to get his hands on some books; with that, he could read about the history of this world and understand the mysteries of this world.
With this thought, Kranos began formulating a plan; he needed to read books from the royal library. Of course, he knew that they wouldn't just let a little baby enter into the library, so he needed his mother to access it with him in her hands; besides, he didn't understand the language of this world; he needed to understand this world's language first.
I recall grandfather saying that I was his fourth grandson; in essence, I should have siblings; I should go search for them.
