RUTH'S POV
Luke looked at Frank like he had completely lost his mind.
"Why? Why use her as bait, boss?" Luke asked, his brows furrowed. "I don't think she'd be thrilled to know you're putting her in harm's way just to figure out whether the mafia is after her or after you."
"She doesn't need to know that," Frank said, his voice unrelenting. "And it is not just the whole mafia that's after us. It's not just one syndicate either. It's far deeper than that."
Luke let out a slow breath, unconvinced. "Can you at least promise me her safety while you're figuring that out?"
Frank cast him a backward lean and rubbed his chin. "I hope so."
