Chapter 15 - Battle (2)

Inside VIP Room No. 1

"This is a real mess. Why isn't the Stone City Lotus Auction House custodian doing anything to stop this?" City Guardian Dovo remarked, watching the chaos unfold below.

"Maybe the custodian is just as upset with that brat and let the Milton Patriarch kill him. But still, isn't fighting or killing inside the Lotus Auction House prohibited?" Dovo wondered.

Inside VIP Room No. 2

"He's finished now. Even though his guardian is a bit strong, he'll eventually fall," Karina muttered, watching the scene.

She despised Xenon because she hadn't received the Oracle Pen due to him, but she hadn't expected Xenon to be arrogant enough to make the Patriarch of the Milton Clan want to kill him.

Meanwhile, Xenon was enjoying the wave of hate points he was accumulating.

The Smoke Man and the Milton Patriarch were still fighting, with the Smoke Man clearly at a disadvantage. But a moment later, a powerful shockwave was heard, and then, Milton Patriarch's right arm fell to the ground, blood splattering everywhere.

"Ahhhhhh!" Milton Patriarch screamed in agony, only to be struck by a powerful kick from the Smoke Man in the stomach. He stumbled into the Auction House wall.

"Who cut off my arm?!" Milton Patriarch yelled, furious. "Who did this?!"

But the room fell silent as everyone turned their gaze to the middle-aged man standing with a large sword in his hand.

"S-stage 9!" The Patriarch of the Lowden Clan muttered in disbelief. When he saw someone preparing to attack his friend, the Milton Patriarch, from behind, he had intended to intervene. But the attack was too swift. Then, seeing the stage of the attacker, he hesitated.

This was serious.

The Lowden Patriarch slowly retreated and sat down, fear evident on his face. He no longer wanted to help the Milton Patriarch, despite their close friendship. This was the Milton Patriarch's problem now, and he didn't want to get involved.

The Narhan Patriarch, the City Guardian, and everyone in the room were stunned, staring at Gustav.

Who is this?

The next moment, Gustav walked up to Xenon and asked respectfully, "Young Master, should I kill the enemy?"

"No, just beat him for now. Make him suffer," Xenon replied.

Everyone was stunned once again. Gustav, a Martial Apprentice Rank 9, had just called Xenon "Young Master"?!

"That expert is his subordinate? He had a Martial Apprentice Stage 7 and Stage 9 subordinate?!" someone exclaimed.

"W-who really is this young master?" another person asked in awe.

"Maybe... maybe he's from a noble family!" someone else shouted, and everyone fell silent, stunned by the possibility.

That's right—only someone from an imperial or noble family could afford to have a Martial Apprentice Stage 9 guardian for their child.

The Narhan Clan sighed in relief, thankful they hadn't acted impulsively and made a drastic decision earlier. They truly didn't want any trouble.

"Stop this now." A loud but calm voice echoed, and everyone instinctively turned to look in its direction.

"It's the Lotus Auction House custodian!" someone shouted.

The custodian glanced at Xenon and said, "Respected guest, my name is Ralton. Could you please stop and resolve everything peacefully? Fighting is not permitted here in my Lotus Auction House."

Upon hearing this, Xenon sneered.

'Fighting is not allowed? Where were you when that Milton Patriarch attacked me?'

Now that Gustav had appeared, showing that Xenon's background was not simple, this old fool of a custodian finally decided to show up.

"You're the custodian of this cheap auction house? You look like a son of a bitch," Xenon retorted.
