In the heart of the forest, along the road leading to Tazar City, a carriage could be seen escorted by a Martial Apprentice at Stage 7. This individual is an elder of the Narhan Clan.
Inside the carriage sat a stunning young woman and that is Iris, she was also in her way to Tazar City. She gazed quietly out the window, admiring the scenic beauty of the journey. With their current pace, they would reach Tazar City in 50 days. It was not a concern, as the entrance exam for Tazar Academy would not begin for another three months, leaving her plenty of time to prepare.
Meanwhile, within Xenon's group, after traveling hundreds of kilometers, they came to a halt. Tarra, one of his subordinates, had sensed the presence of a powerful demonic beast.
"Is it nearby? And how strong is it?" Xenon asked, his voice calm yet curious.
"Young Master, it's a Tier 3 demonic beast, comparable to my strength at its peak. However, its energy feels weakened," Tarra explained.
"Where exactly is it, and why is it weakened?"
Tarra pointed toward a mountain 100 kilometers away. Xenon looked in that direction but felt no discernible energy. This was not surprising—beasts of such a high realm could conceal their presence and can't sense by a Martial Apprentice.
"I'm not sure why it's weakened, Young Master," Tarra admitted.
Xenon sighed and facepalmed, recalling that his subordinates lacked knowledge and were purely designed for combat and protection. Turning to his system, he inquired about possible reasons for the beast's weakened state.
After reviewing the system's response, he concluded that the demonic beast was likely preparing to lay eggs, which explained its presence in this less dangerous area and its weakened condition.
"Tarra, can you defeat it?" Xenon asked.
"It will be a challenging fight, but I will prevail, Young Master," Tarra replied confidently.
"Good. Then I order you to hunt it," Xenon commanded.
This was an opportunity he could not afford to miss. With Tarra's strength, she could handle the Tier 3 demonic beast. Besides, an egg from such a beast was worth millions of gold coins.
Tarra dashed forward with incredible speed, her body radiating the power of a Martial Warrior at Stage 9.
At the mountain, a massive cave housed the demonic beast. Its eyes opened slowly, and it flapped its colossal wings, releasing an enraged battle cry to defend against the approaching threat.
The demonic beast was a giant eagle with a yellow body and menacing red eyes. It took to the skies, determined to face Tarra and protect its nest from discovery.
High above, the bird's immense shadow cast darkness over the forest below. Tarra glared at it coldly, leaping onto the branches of a towering tree and moving swiftly through them.
As soon as the eagle spotted Tarra, it launched an aggressive attack. Tarra retaliated immediately, leaping from the branches.
"[Wind Walk]," she activated a skill that allowed her to walk on air for up to 30 minutes, though it consumed a significant amount of energy.
"[Whirlwind Dance]," Tarra chanted, wielding her sword to unleash thousands of wind slashes aimed at the demonic beast.
The beast let out a pained growl as numerous small cuts covered its body.
In retaliation, the eagle flapped its massive wings, summoning tornadoes strong enough to destroy the forest below. Tarra dodged them with ease, continuing her relentless assault on the beast.
