Reaching the orphanage, the emperor and Kaito went inside while the two warriors started behind, guarding the main door of the orphanage. Entering inside Kaito ran to his grandfather and told him about the emperor. Leaving the cooking behind he came out quickly and greeted the emperor.
Showing his kind and down to earth behavior, the emperor sat on the old chair of the orphanage and drank water from there. After listening about joining the Royal Academy his grandfather was sad but hiding his feelings from Kaito he agreed to let him go with a smile on his face.
Kaito was not able to see the sad look behind the old man's happy face, but the emperor clearly saw that. "Kaito!" After Kaito looked toward him he continued, "Seeing you both, I have an idea. Why not take your grandfather along with us? It is not good to leave him here in his old age."
"Is that possible, Your Majesty?" Before Kaito's response the old man spoke up.
While smiling the emperor continued, "Yes, if you two live close to each other, it would help him to concentrate more in his study without worrying about you."
Hearing that both Kaito and his grandfather were happy. "So, what do you say?"
"Thank you, your majesty."
"No need. Now that we all agree, we should leave before evening." Walking out of the orphanage the emperor continued, "Come to the restaurant within an hour and from there we will leave."
"As you wish, your majesty."
The emperor along with his warrior left flying on the sword, Kaito and his grandfather went back and started to get ready to leave. Packing up their things they went to the restaurant where the emperor was staying.
Soon after reaching there, they got their own carriage where Kaito and his grandfather sat and left along with the emperor. It was first for him to travel outside the town, lifting the curtain of the carriage's window he put his head outside the window.
With a smile on his face he kept enjoying, after a while as he felt tired, he sat comfortably in his seat and while watching outside the window without noticing he slowly fell asleep. Seeing him sleep, his grandfather closed the curtain of the window.
Three hours later, they reached a town. The street was empty with the clear path for the emperor's carriage followed by Kaito's carriage. All the houses around there were big and well designed with conical top roofs, and lights surrounding each of their corners.
It is the town where only the richest families from the Northern Empire live. And most of the rich families were Noble families of the Northern Empire. Not only that, but the emperor also along with his family lives here.
After passing through most of the houses, the horses and carriages stopped in front of the big castle surrounded by the Northern Empire Royal Guards. All of the Royal Guard wearing yellow-colored clothes walking around the castle.
Soon a warrior came and knocked at the door of Kaito's carriage, hearing the knocking sound Kaito woke up. His grandfather opened his side door, with a smile on his face the warrior standing outside said, "We arrived, the emperor is waiting for both of you in front of the castle gate."
His grandfather stepped out of the carriage, following behind him Kaito stepped out of the carriage and went to the emperor. The castle was shining with the help of the white light coming out of the lamp around it. As he saw the big castle inside the iron wall boundaries, for a moment for him it was like he came to a different world. Seeing the Quokka-like smile on Kaito's face, the emperor didn't come off with any excuse; he directly said, "Follow me inside the castle, you both can stay here before going to the Royal Academy."
As the emperor expected, "Okay." Without a second thought Kaito agreed to stay in the castle. Following the emperor, both of them walked on the red cotton carpet with Royal Guards with their swords beside their waist standing on both sides. Soon they reached the main gate of the castle. Entering inside the castle he called two maids and asked them to provide clothes and to show Kaito and his grandfather room for their stay. Both got their separate rooms.
Following the emperor's order one maid took them to an empty room inside the castle, while the other maid went to pick sets of new clothes for them.
Soon after changing into the new clothes, a maid walked into Kaito's room with different types of food. The food was inside five small silver bowls, while one big silver plate contained all five bowls, a silver spoon and a pair of silver chopsticks. Two bowls were filled with different veg soup, one was filled with white boiled rice, one was filled with different fruit all cut in round shape, and the last bowl was filled with lemon water and beside it there was a glass full of energy water. Placing the plate on the table and saying, "Tell me if you need anything else." the maid stood beside the door.
As he started eating, the taste he felt was completely out of world for him. Not a single time in his life till now he had tasted food like that. Soon he increased his eating speed, and the plate was about to be empty, "If you don't mind, can I get one more serving." with a shy smile on his face he said to the maid.
Saying, "Sure." She left the room while Kaito continued eating the rest of the food. It didn't take him long to finish it, but as now he was waiting for the maid to come back, he felt dizzy. Closing his eyes tightly he shook his head, drinking the glass of water he laid back. Soon after that the maid came back with a plate in his hand, but seeing Kaito sleeping she returned with the plate full of food in her hand.
Sleeping Kaito didn't know how much time had passed, but suddenly he felt itchy above his left side of chest. With his right hand he tried to rub that but for some reason he wasn't able to move his hand as if something was holding back his hand. Not able to move his hand, he slowly opened his eyes. He saw white hair above himself as he opened half of his eyes, when he completely opened his eyes, he saw an old man with white beard face in front.
He moved his eyes around, the room was filled with dim light. There was one candle near his head lighting his surroundings. And the second candle was a few distance away from him.
"You woke up! It looks like the effects of my medicine wear off. But too soon, by the amount you ate, normal people would be left unconscious for a week and here you are waking up in five hours."
Kaito was still not sure what was going on, when he thought of rubbing his eyes, but to do so he again wasn't able to move his hands. He moved his eyes along with his head, seeing his hands and legs tied to an iron bed with four iron chains he yelled, "What are you doing to me?" He violently stirred his hands and legs to get rid of the iron chains.
As Kaito was moving his body around it disrupted the work the old man was doing, he stopped and looking into Kaito's eyes, he said, "Calm down! You don't want to see your grandfather suffer, right?"
"What? What did you do my grandfather?" He yelled again while continuing moving his body to free himself from the chains. Slowly a thin layer of fire energy started to form around his hand legs where the chains were tied to.
"I told you to stay put, didn't I?" Pointing his finger toward Kaito's grandfather who was unconsciously tied to the chair in front of him, he continued, "You don't want that old man to suffer, or do you?" Second candle beside his grandfather making it easier for him to see his grandfather tied to a chair.
Behind his grandfather, one of the Royal Guard standing with his unleashed sword ready to attack. Seeing his grandfather, he stopped releasing his fire energy and also by stopping his hand and legs movement he stayed still tied to chains. "Good boy!"
