Story revolves around a boy who at a young age lost everything including himself. 

To protect him, soon after he opened his eyes, his mother left him in an orphanage. The owner of the orphanage gave him the name Kaito and later seeing he can use multiple magical energies he adopted him as his grandson.

Not knowing the intention of the old man, living with him he grew closer to him and thought of him as a family member he could rely on. 
But it all changed when the Emperor of the Northern Empire came to know about his magical energy.

To save his so-called grandfather he didn't to fight back and laid still while his blood was being drain out of his body. And as slowly as the truth came to light that from the moment he showed his multiple magical energies to his so-called grandfather, he had dug himself a grave.

His heart shattered completely, while being alive he was dead inside.
And at last, when the Emperor tried to piece through his heart, due lack of his knowledge heart the Emperor strikes at his Occult Orb. 

A massive explosion happened, and he was sent flying away from there. He came back alive but lost all his magical energies.
