FALLING FOR THE UNEXPECTED

INSERT 02

Narrated

Lena sat at her kitchen table, sipping a cup of coffee and staring at her laptop screen. She had spent the entire morning browsing job listings and career advice articles, trying to figure out what she wanted to do next.

As she scrolled through a popular job search website, one listing caught her eye: "Social Media Manager for Boutique Travel Company." Lena's heart skipped a beat as she read through the job description. It sounded perfect – a chance to combine her love of travel, writing, and social media into one dream job.

But as she reached the end of the listing, her enthusiasm faltered. The company was based in a small town in the Pacific Northwest, a place Lena had never even visited. She had always been a city girl, and the thought of leaving behind the hustle and bustle of metropolitan life was daunting.

Just as Lena was about to close the laptop and move on to other job listings, her phone buzzed. It was Kamva.

"Hey, girl! I just saw the most amazing job listing, and I immediately thought of you,"Kamva said, her voice bubbling with excitement.

Lena's curiosity was piqued. "What's the job?"

"Social Media Manager for a boutique travel company in Oregon. I know it's not in the city, but I think you'd love it. You've always talked about wanting to travel more and get out of the corporate world."

Lena's eyes widened as she stared at the job listing still open on her laptop. "Friend, I'm looking at that exact job listing right now."

Kamva squealed. "That's fate, Lena! You have to apply. When are you going to do it?"

Lena took a deep breath, feeling a sense of trepidation mixed with excitement. She had always played it safe, sticking to what she knew and loved. But maybe it was time to take a chance and see where life took her.

"I'll apply today," Lena said, making a split-second decision.

Kamva cheered on the other end of the line. "That's my girl! I'll help you brainstorm ideas for your application. We'll make it unforgettable."

As Lena hung up the phone and began to work on her application, she couldn't shake off the feeling that this was just the beginning of an unexpected adventure.
