Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Meeting Nick Fury

"Let me introduce myself. I am the son of Odin, the God of Thunder, and the future King of Asgard. My name is Thor. I should exist in your myths and legends. Thor of Norse mythology... Asgard's story, passed down from the soldiers who once roamed Earth."

In a bar in California, Thor introduced himself to the king of Agents: Nick Fury—who hadn't yet turned bald—with a tone laced with inherent arrogance.

Thor had a vague feeling that his character might be greatly influenced by the original Thor.

"System, how long have I been in this world?"

"Fifteen hundred years."

So, his time travel hadn't been a possession of someone else's body.

"Huh?" Nick Fury looked dazed, his worldview nearly collapsing in one day. First, aliens; now, ancient gods… However, thanks to Carol Danvers' example, this time it wasn't as hard to accept.

"Well, it was an honor to meet you," Nick Fury shrugged.

Later, the three of them went to the Air Force base to search for clues to the Pegasus Project.

As in the original plot, Nick Fury exhibited the demeanor of an old fox, secretly contacting his boss, only to discover something was wrong with him.

The difference came during their retreat when Thor hit the ceiling with Mjolnir. A strong electric current surged through the circuit system, instantly plunging the entire Air Force base into darkness.

"This cat is dangerous. I suggest you stay away from it." Seeing Nick Fury teasing the cat with an idiotic grin on his face, Thor commented.

It should be noted that Nick Fury should have been more cautious. After all, he'd witnessed several supernatural phenomena that day, including Carol firing a cannon with her fist, Thor short-circuiting the Air Force base with his hammer, and the large Skrulls below.

But despite this, this strange beast looked so harmless that Nick Fury was determined to play and pet the cat for a while.

At this point, Carol Danvers, who was flying the plane, turned her head and asked, "Can you tell me the purpose of your help? This doesn't seem to concern you. Whether it's the Kree or the Skrulls, it has nothing to do with you. Asgard has no stake in this."

From the moment Thor had appeared, he'd been very proactive, offering help despite having no personal involvement. If Nick Fury was doing his job, Thor was acting like someone with too much free time. Was the heir to the Asgardian throne really this idle?

Thor responded, "If it's just a dispute on Earth, it truly has nothing to do with me. But as a member of the Nine Realms, Earth belongs to Asgard, at least in name. If beings from other planets land here without informing us, we should at least show some presence."

It was clear that Carol didn't fully trust the Kree, and the relationship between Earth and Asgard wasn't a secret in the universe.

Nick Fury, still petting the cat, picked up on the meaning behind Thor's words and asked, confused, "In name? So, Earth doesn't actually belong to Asgard?" He spoke more seriously. It wouldn't be good news if Earth was merely a colony of a higher civilization.

Thor understood the concern and responded nonchalantly, "Don't worry, Earth is independent. Humans have their own version of (Ancient one), and its strongest is no less than my father. However, unless the world faces a major crisis, that organization usually doesn't intervene." Thor was telling the truth. Even if Carol hadn't awakened yet, if Ronan dared break the rules on Earth, Kamar-Taj would make sure he had no chance to retreat.

Nick Fury immediately seemed a lot more relaxed.
