Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Star Troopers

At night, everyone gathered to discuss the next steps of their mission.

"Going to space? Our aircraft can't handle that," Nick Fury remarked, his brow furrowed.

Thor, unfazed, simply replied, "I'll take care of it." He reached for Maria Rambo's phone and made a quick call. A few minutes later, a brilliant beam of light descended into the yard, and a mighty spaceship appeared, summoned by the Bifrost.

"Wow!" Monica exclaimed, her eyes wide. "What a beautiful spaceship!"

Thor waved his hand with a grin. "Once the mission is done, it will be yours." He had just contacted Odin. While Asgard's appearance might seem medieval, their technology was centuries ahead, even covering 5G a thousand years ago. Thor had asked for a small spaceship and requested Odin to enchant his hammer with a special curse from the air. He had a plan for the day ahead and didn't want the Kree to seize his weapon.

"Really? Thank you!" Monica's opinion of Thor improved instantly. She had been less than pleased at dinner when Thor had devoured enough food for several people, completely clearing out her fridge.

In the early hours of the morning, Yon-Rogg stood before the body of the Skrull who had been pretending to be Carol. His face was a mask of fury as he activated his communicator.

"The Skrulls have infiltrated the C-35 planet. Get here immediately."

At the same time, Thor and his team entered Dr. Lawson's laboratory.

"Is this the Tesseract?" Thor asked, eyeing the glowing energy core. Inside it was the Space Gem, a powerful artifact that would later play a role in the downfall of Asgard. Thor's fists clenched at the thought, and his resolve for the mission grew stronger.

As they examined the lab, Skrulls began to emerge from the shadows, including Talos' wife and daughter. The family embraced warmly.

"We don't know what to do," Talos' wife whispered, fear evident in her eyes. "Marvell warned us not to send any messages or the Kree will find us."

"You're right," Talos said, his voice steady despite the situation.

Carol watched this reunion, her heart heavy with the weight of their fear. She stepped forward, her voice gentle. "I won't hurt you."

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know before…" Carol murmured, filled with regret.

Talos placed a hand on her shoulder, offering comfort. "Carol, this is war. My hands are just as stained. But you've brought me here, you've reunited me with my family." He bowed his head in a gesture of gratitude.

After a long silence, he spoke again. "This is just the beginning. Thousands of our people are scattered across the galaxy."

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps interrupted the moment. Everyone tensed, ready for an attack.

Yon-Rogg strode in, flanked by his Star Troopers. "What happened to your team uniform?"

Minerva sneered. "As expected, she's been brainwashed by the enemy."

"The Supreme Intelligence will restore her," Colas added, his tone harsh.

Yon-Rogg stepped forward, his voice dripping with disdain. "I trained you to become your better self." Just then, Carol felt her energy drain, and a mocking voice echoed, "What we give you, we can take back."

Before he could finish, a flash of lightning lit the room, and Yon-Rogg was sent flying through the air with a crash. "Do you think I'm just going to stand by?" Thor shouted, his anger rising.

As he spoke, iron scale armor materialized around Thor's arms, and a thick black plate armor encased his chest, making him appear even more imposing.

Thor roared, lifting Mjolnir high. The hammer began to spin rapidly, and a swirling black tornado of lightning and death formed around him. It was as if a god had descended upon the battlefield.

Branchal, the bearded soldier, was the first to charge forward but was quickly caught in the storm. He was thrown hundreds of meters away, crashing to the ground and unable to move.

The Star Troopers charged as well, but Yon-Rogg signaled for reinforcements, and a swarm of Kree soldiers rushed in, ready for battle.
