Chapter 2 - Seat He Was Born For

"They will definitely hook me up with someone," Kezla said, not ready to understand.

Anne decided to tease her instead of making her understand. "They will not find someone ordinary for you. That person must be a strong warrior Alpha Or CEO of a company," she said with a mischievous smile on her face.

"I don't want to marry any warrior Alpha or CEO types," she said angrily.

"Huh! What… What is there not to like? Every single girl out there dreams for such a person." Her words quite surprised Anne.

"Anne, I am not Like those girls who run after fame, luxury and the Luna title. I read lots of novels that these rich heirs and warrior Alphas are scary people. They always carry a cold aura around them with no facial expression… like they have facial paralysis. They are scary, rude, ignorant, inconsiderate, stubborn, have no feelings, treat women like…Ummm like…" she was struggling for a word and looking here and there to get it.

Anne pointed to the water bottle in front of her and asked, "Water bottle?"

Kezla shook her head, "No, bestie!"

Then Anne pointed to the coffee mug in front of her and asked, "Coffee? Coffee mug?"

"Bestie! That's not it, either."

Then she pointed to the last thing on the small tray in front of her and asked, "Tissue paper?"

"Yes, that's it! Tissue paper!" Her face reverted to her original expression.

"They treat women like tissue paper, use them as they please, and then throw them away," Kezla said these words with a face full of rage. It was as if she was the leader of all women who had suffered under such men.

"You could have used a water bottle or coffee mug too, as they are also meant to use and throw," Anne said to annoy her sister, but she ignored and continued.

"You know, they can cause heart attacks by just staring at feeble-hearted women. They are always busy with work, have no time for family, and look down on others…" all these words were said in a single breath.

Anne was almost worried about her friend and wanted to ask her to breathe when she stopped on her own accord. Her face flushed as she gasped for breath. Then she continued. "And there is more. They are…"

"Stop! I understand," Anne stopped her before she could say more.

She stopped with a puzzled look on her face. Anne sighed in relief and was not in a mood to hear her friend's rant.

At the same time, the man behind them was listening to everything with his eyes closed. He wore a big smile, making his assistant amazed at the eye catching view.

"Then, what kind of person do you want to marry, my dear best friend?" Anne asked curiously.

"Someone who will love me to the core of his heart, ready to do anything for me, will only think of me, must be able to make me smile whenever I feel sad, and will always have all the time in the world for me," Kezla said with a small smile on her lips but it was the forced smile pulled out in an annoyance.

"Other things are fine but having all the time in the world for you? Ummm… then there is only one option." "And what's that bestie?" She asked with anticipation clear on her face.

"You have to marry a beggar," Anne teased and was ready to observe her friend's reaction.

"That's okay as long as he fulfils all the above criteria I mentioned." She was relaxed, so Anne asked, "Are you for real, Kezla?"

"What's wrong with marrying a beggar? I will earn money, and he just has to love me and only me. We will make lots of babies, I will work, and he will handle them-" her friend's reply dumbfounded Anne. With his eyes wide open, he could not say anything. She expected her to get angry but it happened otherwise.

So Anne stopped her and finally said, "Bestie, I lost, you won."

The man sitting behind them was still listening to the two friend's conversation. His eyes were closed, but he had a grin on his face, showing his cute canines.

The handsome man sitting behind them was curious about her dreams. But her friend spoke up before the conversation could go further.

"Now close your eyes and take some rest. It was a tiresome day for us." She nodded, leaned back, and closed her eyes.

"It's been so crazy today." Kezla mumbled her eye closed as she was feeling overwhelmed with all that was happening.

The handsome man was quite disappointed. After having dinner everyone went to sleep.

The next morning, everyone got out of the airport and headed their way. Kezla's sight passed by the handsome man, but frowned and ignored him.

Anne, on the other hand, nodded with a smile, compensating for her friend's rude behaviour. The handsome man smiled and nodded in return.

Anne kept smiling nonstop like a fool as the man was a sight to behold. Damn! He even nodded at her.

A sleek, black sedan awaited outside the airport. As the handsome man, Alpha Galaksi, and his assistant approached, the driver bowed respectfully, "Good morning, Sir," and opened the rear door.

At the same time, another car was waiting for Kezla and Anne. The driver got out and greeted them. Both of them sat inside the car and headed towards their destination.

After sitting inside the car, Anne looked at her best friend and asked, "Still upset? Cheer up!"

Galaksi stepped inside the car, only to be surprised by the sight of his uncle. "Uncle, I thought you were resting at home?"

The middle-aged man smiled knowingly. "Rest can wait. I won't be at peace until I see you claim the seat you were born for."

The car moved, and the man leaned back and stared out of the window. He suddenly remembered the girl's startled face and smiled.
