In the large study of the Montgomery residence, Galaksi and his uncle, Reed, sat before a large, high-tech screen. Parker, Galaksi's loyal right-hand man, stood nearby, his eyes fixed on the screen.
Reed, a seasoned strategist with a sharp mind, began to navigate the screen, pulling up a series of images. "This," he said, pointing to the first image, "is Alejandro Osborne, the head of the Northern Blood Pack and the CEO of Osborne pharmaceuticals."
"Next, we have Elena Osborne, one of his twin daughters," Reed continued, pointing to the next image. "She's a bit of a wild card, but quite naive. And then there's Lucas Osborne, the eldest son. A promising young man, but a bit of a workaholic."
He paused, his gaze shifting to the final image. "And finally, the other twin, Kezla Osborne. A mystery, even to her own family. She's recently returned, but quite cunning, and we're still trying to piece together her past also, the favorite one amongst the siblings."
As Reed continued his explanation, Galaksi's attention was drawn to the screen. His eyes fixed on the image of the youngest Osborne, Kezla. A surge of recognition washed over him. This was the same woman he had encountered at the airport, the one who had accidentally spilled coffee on him.
A wave of amusement washed over him. He couldn't help but smile. Fate, it seemed, had a peculiar sense of humour. Little did he know that this chance encounter would soon intertwine their lives in ways he couldn't have imagined.
While Galaksi's thoughts raced, Parker, who had also witnessed the encounter at the airport, couldn't help but chuckle. He recalled the scene vividly: the startled look on his boss's face, the spilled coffee, and the woman's flustered apology. And now she happens to be a Osborne.
Reed leaned forward, his voice low and intense. "I suspect there's more to Osborne pharmaceuticals than meets the eye. Alejandro isn't just a businessman; he's a man of many secrets. Our investigations have revealed a disturbing trend: a surge in illegal drug activity in Country E. These drugs aren't being smuggled across borders; they're appearing out of thin air. And I believe Alejandro Osborne is the mastermind behind it all."
"My investigation has taken a darker turn. I suspect there's more going on at Osborne pharmaceuticals than just legitimate research.
"What do you mean?
"As I said, We've seen a significant increase in drug abuse cases in Country E, yet our border controls haven't detected any corresponding rise in drug smuggling. It doesn't add up."
"Are you suggesting... Alejandro is somehow involved in drug distribution?
"I believe so. It's the only explanation that makes sense. The drugs are appearing within Country E without crossing the borders. Alejandro, with his connections at Osborne pharmaceuticals, could be using their resources to manufacture or obtain these substances and distribute them internally."
"That old fox is worse than anything."
"He's been quietly building an empire, using his pharmaceutical company as a front to launder money and distribute illicit substances." Reed added, sighing deeply.
"But that's not all. There's another, even more sinister threat looming large. A group of rogue werewolves have been terrorising packs across the country. These werewolves are highly trained, highly disciplined, and incredibly dangerous. We suspect that Alejandro is behind these attacks as well. He's a cunning man, always scheming, always seeking more power. He wants to be the sole ruler of the werewolf world. By destabilising the werewolf hierarchy, he can seize control and establish a new order, one where he reigns supreme."
"Galaksi, some good news on a lighter front. We received the sample photos for Elena Osborne, Alejandro's other twin daughter. She's quite the looker, isn't she? I think it's time we bring her on board. What do you say?
Galaksi smiled slightly "Excellent. Send her an email informing her that she's been chosen. We can arrange a meeting to discuss the details of the contract and the campaign."
"Will do. I'll also have her sign a non-disclosure agreement, just as a precaution."
Galaksi nodded in agreement. "Good idea. We need to be discreet, especially with everything else going on.
Galaksi pauses, his expression turning serious again. "This modelling opportunity could be useful for us, Uncle Reed. Elena might inadvertently reveal something about her family's activities. Keep an eye on her, and see if you can gain her trust. She might become an unwitting ally in our investigation.
"I understand. I'll be careful not to raise any suspicions. I'll approach this delicately."
Reed nods, a plan forming in his mind.
"How about we go out together? it's a chance for you to get out and about, see some of the city. You've been away from Country E for a while, it might be good to reacquaint yourself with things."
Galaksi had a thoughtful pause. He considers the idea, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. " You know, Uncle Reed, that's not a bad idea. It would be good to see how the city has changed."
The afternoon sun beat down on the city as Galaksi and Reed toured the bustling metropolis. Reed, ever the informative guide, pointed out landmarks, explaining the history and significance of each. "That towering skyscraper," he pointed towards a gleaming edifice, "houses the largest financial institution in the country."
He gestured towards a sprawling park. "And that's where the annual werewolf festival is held. Quite the spectacle."
While they drove past a particular landmark, Reed paused. "See that? The large wolf sculpture beside that towering statue of a woman? Legend has it that she was the first to carry the werewolf gene."
As the day wore on, their hunger began to gnaw. "Shall we stop for a bite?" Reed suggested, his eyes scanning the passing scene. "I know a little hole-in-the-wall place with the best cuisine."
Galaksi, his appetite piqued by the prospect of authentic fare, readily agreed. "Sounds perfect. I could use a taste of the real city."
And so, they detoured from their sightseeing route, following Reed's directions to a small, unassuming eatery tucked away in a side street.
