Sorry, what's your name again?
Eldric spoke now facing Elara.
"Elara... Elara Fletcher" Elara spoke as she needed to get out of the room in order not to feel like a third wheel for the lovely couple.
"I am indeed sorry again for the abrupt call, I was only checking in on my wife's well being" Eldric says as he moved from rose to face the direction in which Elara stood.
"It is not a problem your majesty, like I have said, I will use this time to attend to the injured guard with the list the queen has provided for me, so once again no problem, I might even get it done on time and go home earlier today, if I may" Elara say ushering her hand to the door.
"Yes you may"Eldric replied as he nodded, signifying she can go.
Elara made her way to the exit leaving the lovely couple some alone time.
Once she was gone, she had realized she had no idea where to start from and decided to look for someone to help her, maybe Bridgette, she thought as she did not know where to find the injured guards.
Elara had already made her way to the end of the hall, about to make a turn when she saw prince aleric coming from the other side of the hall. Their eyes met as Elara courtesy, greeting the prince.
"Prince aleric" she rose looking at his eye.
The prince met Elara and was confused as to why Elara was here on this side of the palace which was far from the intended area she was to tend to the guards.
Even Elara was confused at his confused gaze.
" Aren't you supposed to be on the other side of the castle tending to the injured guard?" Eldric questioned as she was going in the wrong direction.
"Yes, your highness,I was looking for someone to lead me there. You see, I was called by the king not a moment ago and…."
"Oh my mother actually pulled that stunt of hers" he says laughing lightly as he raised his hand to cover his mouth.
Rose told her son what she intends to do to rile up her husband as punishment.
" I didn't think she'd really do it" Aleric says as he recalled the moment.
"I'm sorry for the trouble you might have gone through this morning with my father, he can be quite…"
"Oh no need I understand" Elara interrupts Aleric signifying she already knows the king loves his wife dearly. Something she wishes to have one day, a loving and caring husband who she might want to tease the hell out of.
"How about I show you to the room where the guards are laid waiting for treatment, you are far off into the wrong direction" the prince says walking past Elara to show her the way.
"Oh no, I don't want to be a bother, I'll just find a maid who can guide me, you don't have to trouble yourself, your highness," Elara says, rejecting his offer.
"Nonsense, it would be my pleasure, take it as a thank you for tending to my wound"
"But your highness" she rejected again before the prince interrupted.
"I insist." There was a small pause in the atmosphere as he continued.
"You are one to not give up I presume and it seems you will keep on persisting and to that I tell you, so will I. So there is no need for this small disagreement, let me show you the way and I will be off, it's the least I can do for our guest". He says extending his arm
" I am not a guest, I'm a physician, I've been here for two months now"
"Yet you still do not know your way around the castle" he replied lifting one eyebrow up at her statement
"That is only because I've been residing in the queen's chambers and never once explored the other side as I never really needed to, if I would have known that It was going to be this way, maybe I would have…."
"The longer we stay here, the more time is wasted before you attend to any of the guards, so I insist"
Ah that moment, there was silence between them after the prince spoke, she didn't know what to say anymore.
It felt like Elara was avoiding the prince but she didn't just want him to waste her time as she knew he had better things to do, but he was right, she had to tend to the injured guards so she had no other choice. So she had to comply
"Then_ok, if it's not too much for you"
"Like I said, not a problem"the prince said as he began walking to show her the room of guards to be aided.
One their way, the prince tried to aid a conversation with Elara.
"So what is the name of the physician that my mother can't seem to stop talking about" he says as Elara follows behind him
"My name is Elara, Elara fletcher."
"I find it very funny how my mother always taunts my dad and they always have a little argument in the end but not that serious, they tend to make up quickly" the prince says.
(What in the world, that came out of nowhere, I don't know the prince too well to be formal with him that I don't even know what to say to that) Elara thought to herself as she found it uncomfortable.
"Um.." Elara didn't know what to say as she was confused.
"I understand, you don't know me too well to have a conversation with me, understandable" he paused for a moment before continuing.
"Would you like it if I said I wanted us to be close?" His words caught her off guard by what he said
"What?" Elara was still frozen at his words.
"Well you know, just as fri___"his words were abruptly interrupted.
"There you are, I've been looking for you, I heard you've arrived early, you had me walking the entire castle" Bridgette said as she walked towards Elara and greeted the prince.
"You are needed, I take it from here your highness"Bridgette says as she holds Elara's hand.
"I'll be on my way then" Aleric says as he walks away in the opposite direction from them.
Elara was still confused and silent as Bridgette dragged her by the hands.
"If not for Jace, I wouldn't have known you've arrived, I would have shown you the patience room earlier". Bridgette said as they finally reached a stop
