The guards felt like they had blunged into the abyssal walls of hell following Chen Hu's 'gentle' descent.
Chen Hu merely flicked his robe and took a solid first step. His move came with a graceful charm that was entrancing to the people who watched his actions. He was walking very closely to the bravest of the guards.
Unfortunately, the guard wasn't so brave anymore as he swallowed hard following Chen Hu's ruthless advancement in his direction. Even Feng Tianyi was at a loss for his emotional outburst just now.
After all, in any case, this guard was a person of the Chen clan and was of importance to them. The reason he forwarded wasn't valid enough for the extermination of the guard.
Or so he thought. Actually, he wasn't really bothered earlier on and only wanted to cause ruckus with a few tricks but he ended up attracting Chen Hu over who stole all of the spotlight. In the end, it was still wise to let the Chen clan deal with its errors by itself.
"Number 130!" He called out and the bravest guard from earlier scurried over, trembling nonstop with fright as he crawled over.
"Yes! Yes! Lord Hu!" He stuttered abnormally out of utter trepidation for what Chen Hu was going to do next.
"I actually returned today right in time to witness you and your squad harassing a guest of the Chen clan..I want you to confess to your crime, guilty or not?" Chen Hu's hands were put behind his back, giving him a gentlemanly demeanor, however his words were laced with coldness that the guard numbered 130 began shivering nonstop.
"I…I…We…We are..are…guilty" Number 130 stuttered, even biting his lips mistakenly from his constant fidgeting.
"Good. Very good, then there's no further need to drag the matter right. I happen to be in a good mood today on catching up with an old acquaintance of mine" his eyes lurked to Feng Tianyi and he forced a 'warm' smile, "Therefore, go to the Council of Elders and report the squad's crimes for the right judgement. Fair or not?"
"F…F…Fair!" Number 130 stuttered out again.
In fact, Chen Hu didn't have to actively use his aura at the 1st stage of Core Formation to humble him. Just his presence alone was an imitation of facing Mt Tai.
It would have been better if they only caused trouble with a random character. But unfortunately for them, they had to go all the way to cause trouble for a highly esteemed guest of the Chen family.
"Good. Now scram, before I switched the arms of judgement towards myself!" Chen Hu commanded with not even a trace of violence in his words, yet he managed to cause the guard to scamper away without delay.
The other guards on duty involved in the issue followed suit. They bowed their heads in shame as they left, unwilling to attract the scorn of the members.
They pinned their hopes on the fact that the audience would be flushed on seeing Feng Tianyi and Chen Hu that they wouldn't be bothered about darting a glance in their path.
"Greetings, Young Master Feng!"
"Greetings, Young Hero!".
"Hearty Welcome to the Chen clan, Your Honor"
Greetings poured in from every nook and cranny, expressing goodwill and felicitations. Feng Tianyi responded like a gentleman and gave light bows in some directions while waving them as they became too much.
"Oh! We actually didn't notice Lady Wuyin" Feng Tianyi said as he fondled with the chariot curtain to let Yan Wuyin out.
The latter being a noble herself and versed in these formalities stepped out with paramount grace. Her appearance, demeanor and disposition attracted emotions of admiration and envy alike.
"Greetings to Lady Yín"
"Our Chen clan is pleased to welcome Fairy Yin to our mortal dwelling"
"Welcome to the Chen clan, Lady Yín"
Another series of greetings followed as Feng Tianyi held Yan Wuyin's hand in his. This micro gesture gave off a vibe that suggested the two as couples. Yan Wuyin's face flushed as she weakly tried to shake off his grip.
However, Feng Tianyi managed to sustain a firm grip on her without hurting her in the process. This slight gesture of romance made Chen Hu on the other hand put out an envious smile.
"Little did I know that the Yan and Feng pair were actually a great match together" Chen Hu threw in some superficial words of flattery, eliciting a cunning smile on Feng Tianyi's face.
"As opposed to the Chen clan with mesmerizing romance history, A'Yin and I still have a long way to go" Feng Tianyi modestly replied the statement of flattery.
Chen Hu was mild earlier on, considering that Feng Tianyi was indeed not wrong. But Yan Wuyin didn't feel so good about it. She even thought to herself that the two were taunting her with her sister's unfortunate union with Chen Zhiyu.
However, after considering the big picture, she decided to swallow this little misconception and suspected mockery.
"If you say so. You two may follow me to the Chen clan's banquet set up by my father, the Chen clan's leader" Chen Hu extended the invite formally, his closing tone was laced with a sense of pride when mentioning his father.
"Then we will take the positions of guests. Sorry in advance for the trouble and discomfort our presence would cause at your Chen clan" Feng Tianyi spoke with modesty.
If one wasn't present when he threw a fit earlier, they might think he was the sweetest and most docile person to have existed.
"Aye! Don't say that, our Chen clan is honored to have guests from the Enlightened Immortal Temple come here. Make yourselves feel at home while you're here" Chen Hu readily debunked Feng Tianyi's overly modest words.
The three then soared to the skies and began heading towards the Clan Leader's Summit for the business of the day.
Since the guest himself had arrived, it was only natural for the banquet to begin shortly after his arrival at the venue.
