Damien was bored so he decided to call Elissa. They'd talked for a while then agreed to meet up later that day.
' I'd have preferred right now but, sigh. Without anything else to do Damien continued reading his book.
Weapons are hard to create. In the pre technology ages, it took months to make suitable weapons that could harm beasts.
Except core beasts the remaining beasts are made of energy. Raw energy cannot interact with matter unless the creature wills it so, that's how they move. So in the modern era special machines are used to compress a weak beast, destroying it, but before they are completely killed, liquid materials of steel and such are poured. With a really strong crystal the energy of the beast is latched onto and within the steel. With that weapons can be made. The crystals used are the same ones used for living things and thus it has a really long shelf life.'
....
Neil had to submit his blade for inspection so he'd left Blake to deal with submitting the report.
Blake didn't like it but he technically had no choice.
....
Kruger didn't want to deal with minimal tasks anymore so he appointed his secretary to handle things like reports.
He was dealing with something of far Greater importance. A new technical equipment was being engineered and parts were coming from all over just to make it. He was supposed to monitor the process as a high threat essence beast was being used in the process.
He had a meeting with the mai clan on their search for the sentient beast.
The president of the united states was also requesting his presence for an unknown reason.
Kruger was getting really tired of his job.
He should have remained an executive.
Shaking his head he chuckles to himself.
' if I hadn't become chief, someone else would have and I dread to imagine how that would have been. In my time all the good guys amongst us where dead before the chief died. That damned creature forced this job on me.'
He wants to laugh but has to maintain his composure whilst observing the process.
' today's going to be a really long day. Sigh '
....
The gong rang once, then again.
Angelo was tired so he was relieved the bell only rang twice. If it had been one more then they'll have had to start running, If it was one less then... He shuddered thinking of the last time he played hide and seek.
The island is a beautiful place and normally should have also been quite relaxing but.
The activities that people had to endure on this island made you think you're in hell.
At random points in time the gong could be rung. If it was once you heard it, that means it's freeze.
If it rings twice it means your required to go to the main building.
If it rang three times it was hide and seek.
By now most of the students have gotten used to things here but for Angelo it was still a major pain.
" Hey dude!"
Angelo looked behind him.
And sighed.
Since the first day he got here very few people have been interested in him. The island wasn't the type of place for friendships.
Still walking towards 'the big house'
" Weren't you supposed to be in the kitchen, your still on fetching duty."
The voice now coming from directly beside him responds.
" Yh but we where told to go"
" Huh. Why ?"
" I don't know "
'sigh' Angelo shrugged and kept walking, he used the side of his eye look at the shorter boy
He started wondering how he let this happen.
' Nathan is one of the few people on the island who smiles constantly, if not for Mr jester he'd be the only one.
After he'd introduced himself that first day things had proceeded really quickly, in a matter of minutes I was left to figure things out on my own. Nathan was one of two people who stood there when everyone else had left.
Jeffrey didn't stay long though, he just touched my hair, asked me if it's real then walked away. Seriously weird.
But Nathan was a whole other situation. It turned out that he was a sort of outcast. Plus he was the last one before him. Of his own accord Nathan explained everything no one else did and showed him the locations he'd been told about.
I'd expected Nathan to leave after that but he just clings to me since. It took me two days to understand why people didn't like him. It was his whole character.
He's comparatively average for his age but I'm still taller. On the island things like age and stuff aren't to be discussed. He's light skinned, black hair. His whole look screamed trouble. Here on the island we didn't have much clothes but every time someone new comes, fifteen sets of outfits are left for them. Normally that would be enough, but the person isn't aware of this till it's long gone so he/she was going to wait till someone else comes. In each set of clothes there aren't any gender distinctions so most girls on the island wore sweat pants although some managed to transform shorts into skirts. Back to Nathan.
Nathan is a genius in his own right. I mean he's famous already.
The guy's famous for pranks and rule breaking, he comes up with ridiculous jokes and he is extremely hyper.
If I had my way I'll escape the guy but that's just the problem. He was an expert at seeking. He always seemed to be outside whenever hide and seek began so he was most often the seeker. Unfortunately for him, yesterday he was hiding and he's not good at that. Punishment isn't anything bad though, you just get a chore for the next 24 hours.
The big house was crowded it seems everyone is present.
