The book was extremely comprehensive but Damien never really put any effort into it he only opened it when he wanted to know something so it was destined to eventually collect dust
Damien had just spent the third day of his patrol and it was getting kinda tiring cause unlike for the unit he still had to respond to other threats that were detected. And it was getting really tiring.
Everyone loves vacations but Elissa couldn't ever enjoy them she always, no matter what, would rather work.Her single friend always advises her to get a hobby but she believed she wasn't good at anything except studying how to kill something or actually doing it
These days where her happiest since she was constantly working. But right now she didn't like today. She was currently wearing a long black dress with purple socks in her combat boot since it was the only thing she had that remotely resembled heels. She would have seemed like a goth girl if not for the long white gloves on her hands and the design of the dress it had gold embroidery and was cut down the side. The dress wasn't clingy but it was still fitted enough for her body lines to be detected. Elissa never really liked makeup but today she wore purple lipstick and light gold eyeshadow. she was dressed up as if on a date which she actually was. Her friend had set her up on a blind date to try to get her out of her job. The guy was getting late and the stares where getting harder to ignore. Two guys had already tried to flirt with her already but she shut them down hard.
She checked her time stuffed her phone in her sock and continued waiting.
' damn it I really should have bought a purse. Where is this guy, if he wants to bloody stand me up he should at least text. Fuck it I'm leaving."
Elissa was about getting up when she noticed something, there was a guy in a hood sitting at the bar. It wasn't odd at all infact there were three other people dressed the same but the guy seemed familiar to her. She couldn't see his face completely but she could see a portion of it. Enough to feel a sense of familiarity.
' it's nothing ' she shrugged it off and got up.
Outside waiting for a taxi she called her friend
" Soo, how was it?"
" Terrible, he stood me up"
" That damned fool I swear I'll make him pay for that"
" Nah it's fine, besides I've said it before I don't need a boyfriend"
" Girl have you seen yourself? There's no way you shouldn't have a man serving you with the way you are. Plus James and I don't want you feeling like a third wheel"
" Can we please go one conversation without mentioning James"
" Ooh sorry. But you see my point? You need a man . If not to serve you then to ensure you don't keep yourself busy with death everytime"
...
" Yh ruby I'll call you back when I get home"
She hung Up the call before she could get a reply. The hooded guy had come out and was walking away from the store. Up close he seemed like any other teen but from the way he carried himself Elissa could tell he wasn't a teen. He had an air to himself, a way of carrying himself as if he was constantly calm but under pressure. His hands seemed to be twitching but he was ignoring it.

She finally got a cab.
" Wow it took awhile for me to get any of you"
" Yh we've already checked out. Most cabbies like myself have gone home your really lucky to have seen me"
" Can you wait a bit " she wound down her window then called out to the guy in the hood. " Hey we can ride together. The only residential area in that direction is a really long distance " the guy turned around and smiled at her. For a moment her heart stopped. Then it continued so quickly that even she barely noticed it. " Hey I know you. Your the new guy from work aren't you? "
" Guilty " Damien said with his hand up
" Now you have to come with me "

They drove together for a while in silence then he broke the ice
" You were on a date? "
" Yh I was supposed to but... You know what it's not important "
" Aah he stood you up. What was his excuse "
" It's not really important " she tried shrugging it off
" Nah it kinda is but whatever you say " he goes back to being quiet then she asks
" Why ?"
She adjusts herself to face him
" Why what?"
" Why is it important?"
" Cause it's you and a girl should never be stood up it's cowardly and insulting to the girl especially if she looks like you "
" Wow. He actually didn't give any excuse"
" That's just wonderful. He must be really thick headed "
She chuckles lightly
" He must be. Haven't you ever stood a girl up before "
" Nope never not once. I have manners "
" Ooh interesting, mister manners. You know at work that day I didn't really take too much notice of you I kinda had other things on my mind but you seem like your worth taking notice of "
" I would like to think so. Ooh wait this is my stop" he smiles to her " I'd love for us to not be just strangers after this "
" Yh me too "
" I'll see you when I see you "
The cab gets moving again and the driver turns to her for a brief moment and chuckles.
" You really shouldn't gamble like that you don't know who's who here "
" Eeh it's fine besides I can handle myself "
Damien got to his house a couple seconds later. After leaving Ellisa he had sprinted all the way here. He couldn't hold it any longer.
He ignored his clothes and went straight to the trees

Simon never stopped thinking. He was a pessimist by nature so he was paranoid thinking of any way something could go wrong. He was on his way to an attack zone. A bar in midtown had turned into a core beast killing all the people in it and currently killing others. He had been deployed to handle it
He looked at his watch and frowns. He's earlier than expected.
He opens his case, shears his gun and activates his sword.
The humanoid was smiling for some reason and it unerved slimy so he asked about it the human told him
" The world is truly beautiful. I love it"
" Your using the word love as well f it's what you're actually feeling"
" But I might. This human body is interesting. "
" Is it that car that's changing you ?"
"Nah "

" What about the trap did it work?"
" Yh the big ones currently sowing chaos down there "
