Chereads / Dead Men Tell The Best Tales / Chapter 5 - Black Hole

Chapter 5 - Black Hole

A tree branch gently wrapped around Lucas's body, lifting him off the ground. It placed him on a strong branch.

Lucas hugged the branch tightly, smiling nervously. "Thank you, Mr. Tree! You're the best!" he said with gratitude, feeling relieved as the bull was just 5-10 m away from him.

The bull watched as Lucas spoke to the tree, probably begging for me so the trees wouldn't hit me.

At first, the bull was excited, thinking that the strange white creature was begging the trees to spare me.

But now, seeing Lucas wrapped up by the branches, "Oh no," it thought, "this creature talked to the trees for me, and now they captured him! These trees are dangerous; they are going to eat him.

It quickly turned its head, searching for a safer place. That's when it spotted an open area with no trees.

The bull ran toward that open area with no trees nearby, ignoring the pain on its back from the continuous tree whips.

As it entered the open area, the whipping stopped.

The bull paused, breathing heavily. It turned its head to look back at the trees. Seeing the branches slowly return to their normal positions, it felt relieved.

After a while, the bull turned its focus to the strange glowing ball at the centre of the platform. It glowed magically, casting a green light around the area.

Meanwhile,

Lucas, holding the tree branch with both hands, saw that the bull had also been beaten by the trees and was now heading toward the magical green ball in the distance.

Lucas was curious.

Suddenly, all the pain he had gone through—the terrorists, the cheetah, the trees, and even the bull—faded from his mind. His focus was now entirely on the glowing ball.

Lucas turned to the tree whose branch he was on. "Mr. Tree, can you move me closer to that area?" He pointed in the direction of a green ball.

The trees, simple-minded but kind, decided to accept Lucas' wish. They passed Lucas from branch to branch, like a fun ride in the air.

Lucas laughed as he was moved closer. "Finally! Some fun after death!" he said, enjoying the smooth and strange transportation.

Soon, he reached a tree whose branch was closest to the green ball.

From it, Lucas saw the bull standing in front of the magical platform. It was staring at the green ball, moving its head in confusion.

The bull hesitated, then took a step closer.

It lowered its head and touched the glowing green ball.

The green ball suddenly started glowing brighter. It slowly flew off from the platform into the air, spinning around at fast speed.

A strange sound filled the area as the green light circled around it.

Without warning, the ball shot forward like a flash of light.

Before the bull could react, the ball hit its body and disappeared inside it.

The bull was confused and said, "Mooo!" It cried in shock, as if saying, "What the fuck was that?"

Next, a small black hole, about the size of a green ball, appeared where the green ball was flying.

Before the bull could react, the black hole pulled the bull in.

The bull's large body was quickly pulled into the small black hole. It shrank rapidly, twisting as it was drawn in.

In just a moment, it was gone, leaving no trace behind.

Next The black hole became smaller and smaller until it vanished completely.

Lucas stared in shock, his mouth opened unknowingly in shock.

"What the hell just happened?" He whispered, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

Before he could process it, out of nowhere a new green ball appeared above the platform, glowing softly like the first one.

Lucas muttered, "This is crazy..." He looked at the glowing ball, then down at the tree branch.

"Mr. Tree, can you get me down?" he asked politely.

The tree slowly lowered its branch, and Lucas, still lying on it and holding tightly with both hands, gently slid down.

Once on the ground, Lucas stood up and turned to the tree, bowing his head in gratitude. "Thank you, Mr. Tree, for helping me."

The tree's branches swayed gently, almost as if it was nodding in appreciation.

Then Lucas began searching for a good stone to write on. He entered the area near the platform where no trees grew, and in some spots, even the grass didn't grow—just dirt and rocks.

Lucas picked up a flat stone, sat down on the dirt, and began writing onto the ground.

"I need to figure out what's going on," he muttered to himself. "Okay, let's start with what I know..."

He paused, thinking carefully about everything that had happened so far.

The cheetah, the trees, the bull, and the magical ball. Lucas's mind tries to make sense of it all.

This strange world had its own rules, and though he didn't fully understand them, he was now determined to figure them out.
