Two days later, a large ship arrived at the island. It was a ship which was going to make its way towards the nearest country from here, Dragon Kingdom.
Most of the resident of the small camp left on that very ship, including people like Oliver and other government employees on the site, as well as Evan, who was currently...
"I am back to square one, I guess." I said with a sigh as I continue looking at the broken heart locket with only its left side intact, making him aware that the only person who died there wasn't Kelvin.
Two more people had died because of the actions he had taken and the decisions he made as he just put that locket in his pocket and looked at the ocean... Worse yet, he don't even know who those two were really.
All of it happened too quickly after all.
When he came back from the cave, the officials had already calculated the results of the fishing competition by then and Kelvin had a third place with 106 fishes, winning at total price money of 10 gold.
However, since the winner itself was absent due to some reason unknown to anyone, I, his supposed helper was given a tenth of his reward, which process single gold coin have I wasn't discouraged or anything by that and converted it into silver and bronze.
Through there was some suspicion and even various gazes full of distrust and hostility directed at me, in the end, they let me go thankfully since there was no proof... Not even a body to prove a murder.
However, in the end they still don't give the entire prince money but just a small part of it, but for now even that was enough.
With that money, no matter how small it was compared to the whole price, I was still able to pay up for the trip to the mainland on the ship and currently, I am now on my way towards the place called Dragon Kingdom.
Even though I am going there, in reality I have no idea about what to expect there, the only reason I am going there is just because don't even have any other target or place to reach...
Except for that one clue...
Anyways, right now, my main focus is something else entirely and all of my mind has now is to get some drugs now which can numb my emotions, atleast to an extent.
Not only will it stop my split personalities from acting up,but also help me maintain my sense of self, which I have have started to feel losing for a moment here and there, especially since after that murder...
Anyways, It has only been half a week since I take the last dose but maybe due to the intense nature of my feelings and all those troubling events since then, the effects of that last injection I took was almost cut short by half.
"You look lost," Oliver said as he walked up beside me, as I give him just one look, I never realised it but it seems that at some point this guy have arrived besides me.
"And you look busy," I said as he just shakes his head looking at me.
"Can't help it, a Soldier just went missing after all, and there has been no news, witnesses, literally nothing... Expect for the fact that a certain someone you know also went missing at the exact same time. A scary coincidence, no?" He said as he started smoking.
"I don't smoke," I said when he passed one to me, well more like I can easily develop cancer if I tried to smoke so it's, 'I can't smoke' to be more exact.
As for his question? I paid it no mind, after all the interrogation is already done and I have already answered all I could without getting and in any kind of real trouble... Why shoot on my foot now then?
"So, where are you headed to," I asked him, trying to change the topic and thankfully, Oliver doesn't press further on that matter as with a calm tone, he replied.
"Back home, what about you?" He asked, studying me carefully and... "I have no idea." I replied with the absolute truth for maybe first time in a while.
"Are you just travelling alone then?" He said, raising an eyebrow, not many people are courageous enough to travel alone so Oliver was definitely suprised seeing someone who is doing so.
Only a few of them are strong and full of tricks to be able to do so and survive, rest are just fool or outcasts, maybe even lucky.
"I wish you were correct." I said with a sigh, if only he knows the bunch of crowd I carry with myself...
"Don't you have any destination in mind? or place to stay?" He asked, looking at me as I just signed and shaked my head... What's up with him today? He is too nosy.
"I have a place where I have to go, but I don't think I can go there, atleast not right now, so I guess, you are correct." I replied after thinking for a bit.
After all, I have already realised the difference in me and a Warrior and I certainly can't just visit an academy for warrior, as I am now...
Let alone kill someone, even infiltration seems difficult considering there might be people far stronger, trickier and might use methods I haven't even thought about.
So all I could do is enter there legally, without raising suspicion, but that gonna take time, I think.
All this going to need a ton time and preparation, as well as proper planning if I have to execute the kill, especially in under the scary short time limit.
"Well, if you have no place, how about I offer you a job then?"
"Oh really? Now, I am interested. What kind of job offer is then?"
"Well, for now it's just normal household work, but when my son might attend the academy in Rose Empire, I want you to go as his Servant and be a bodyguard of sort, of course only if you are fine with it of co-"
"I'm in," I said, as soon as I heard Rose Empire, "But why me?" I asked, looking at him once more.
"It's because you have good eyes and a good brain in your head," He said giving his cigarette a big puff, "Instead of fighting and solving a problem, you can avoid a problem even before it reaches you, just the type of person I need."
"Hmm, is that so?" I said with a nod looking at the ocean again, I wonder when the genre of my life will be slice of life, instead of dark.

It take us a whole day of sea travels but we finally reached our destination, Dragon City.
It is Oliver's home city and from what I have gathered, he is a soldier who works for the government, and was send on an official mission on that Island where he met me.
Not only that, it seems that he is also rich as the monthly salary he offered me is 5 gold coin which is five times the amount the government pays to newbie and non combatant Soldier.
But maybe I could understand why he did so, after all I have came to realise a fact that Warriors in this world are too important to work under someone else.
Not for me though, as I am not a warrior to begin with and have can do anything to complete my mission in this world... Well, that was what I thought when I first arrived but killing a friend sure was difficult.
After reaching this place, I looked around the city for a bit after Oliver passed me his address and my main focus was, as always on gathering information.
The library helped me with that a lot as even though it was expensive to use, I was able to get all the necessary information I needed about this world.
My first main focus was on Soul Flower as I have a lot of them, which then shift to Soul Core since Soul Flower gave birth to them.
After that came para-demons, the otherworldly beasts who has invaded this world and when a person who has soul core come in contact with a dead Para-demon before it disintegrate, he will awaken as a Soul Warrior.
Or if I have to say, at lowest Rank, a Soldier. These two conditions are necessary to meet, a Soul Core and a Dead Para-demon, no matter who killed it.
An intresting power system which make your enemy your power too but there is also theories that says that Para-demons also have same amount of dependency on humans with Soul core but there is no proof of it.
After that, I tried finding something which can help me keep my emotions in check and while searching for it, I made my way towards what could be my new house, and my new job... atleast for the time being.
