Elaron has been taken to her house, and the mother, seeing Elaron being carried by one of her husband's trusted men, approached Elaron, who was now being put to bed in her crib. "What's wrong with El? Is she sick? Is he hurt because of a bad person?" asked Camelia Foxia, Elaron's mother.
"Miss is just tired, Ma'am," Jax replied.
"Call the doctor," Camelia said, looking worriedly at her daughter without looking at Jax. She wiped her daughter's forehead and tidied the strands of hair that covered her daughter's face.
"No need to call the doctor. In a few hours, El will wake up," said a middle-aged man who was none other than Jhoannes Gilmer—Elaron's father.
Camelia now looked towards her husband. "What did you do to my child?" Camelia asked angrily.
Jhoannes shook his head while looking at Jax, which meant Jax had to leave Elaron's room immediately. "Excuse me, sir, ma'am," Jax said as he took his leave from Elaron's room.
"Answer! What did you do to my daughter?" Camelia shouted angrily.
"I just made her sleep, she was overworking herself," Jhoannes replied so casually.
"Wasn't it you who made our daughter like this?" Camelia asked, glaring at her husband.
Jhoannes smiled, then took both of his wife's hands and gently pulled her to her feet. "Because who else will continue my efforts if not our daughter? Don't just call her your daughter, she is our daughter, we made her together," Jhoannes said while hugging his wife's waist, his tone so gentle.
"Don't be too hard on her, she also needs rest. Also, don't force her to marry Jonathan," Camelia said in her soft voice while looking at her husband's face.
"Why? Jonathan is good, and he is very suitable for our daughter," said Jhoannes, tightening his grip around his wife's waist. He hugged his wife's waist so possessively.
"Don't keep forcing El, her life hasn't been happy all this time. Let her find her happiness without being forced," said Camelia.
"She will be happy if she marries Jonathan," said Jhoannes.
"That's just your thought, the one going through it is El, not you. Just like you, who married me out of obligation because your love had to marry your parents' choice. Aren't you unhappy with me? You brought me back because you didn't have anyone to be your heir. Actually, you could make Jax your successor. He is a good and obedient child, I am sure he must feel abandoned after El came and learned to take your place," said Camelia, then her hand moved to release her husband's grip from her waist.
"I love you, not that traitorous woman!" Jhoannes insisted.
"Let me go!" Camelia whispered as Jhoannes's grip on her waist was so strong.
"Ouch!" Camelia exclaimed, grimacing in pain from her husband's grip.
"Never talk about that damn woman!" Jhoannes firmly said, then roughly pushed Camelia's body, causing her to fall and sit on Elaron's bed.
Jhoannes, who was so angry with his wife's words. Why must it be linked to the past? Everything is in the past, and now he truly wants to live with Camelia and hand over the company to his daughter. He doesn't need a son, his daughter is capable of leading the company. Although he is sure that Elaron's feelings will be shaken by the presence of the youngest son of the Walton family.
He tried to hide his daughter and keep her away from the Walton family. The real reason he didn't disturb the Walton family is that he didn't want his daughter to get involved with the Walton family. He knew Axton was looking for his daughter, but he tried to keep her at a safe distance and completely out of contact with the Walton family. He never expected that his efforts to hide his daughter would be uncovered so easily.
Now, he has to think of a way to make Elaron forget her meeting with Axton. Or, he must send his daughter away from here, ensuring his daughter does not meet Axton for a while until she is no longer swayed to meet Axton. However, if he has to send his daughter away from here, he will definitely have to be apart from his wife. No, he will not make his wife leave again. It's been 28 years since he separated from his wife. He doesn't want to be separated from his wife again. He also didn't want his wife to think badly of him for sending her and their daughter away because he wanted to return to his past. No, he doesn't want to go back to that damn ex of his at all. Enough, he doesn't want to go back to his past at all.
He asked Jax to meet him in the office. Jax came to Jhoannes's office and received a strong kick to his chest, causing him to be thrown back and crash into the entrance of Jhoannes's office. Jhoannes stood right in front of Jax, who was sitting and coughing because his chest felt tight from the strong blow.
Jhoannes squatted with one knee touching the floor, one of his hands gripping Jax's jaw tightly. "What have you done, huh?" Johannes asked angrily.
"Forgive me, sir, I overlooked Miss El. I was monitoring transactions at the port because Miss El suddenly had to go to the hospital. I just saw the information that the lady received about Axton following her when Axton was already taken to the shooting range. Forgive me, sir," Jax said with a stammering voice because his chest was still so constricted just to speak like this.
Roughly, Jhoannes released his grip on Jax's jaw. "Clean up the mess you made. I have tried to keep El away from the Walton family, but because of your carelessness, now El has met the Walton family," Jhoannes said in a very cold tone while staring at Jax, who was now trying to get up from his seat while holding his chest.
"Whatever your command, I will do it," Jax said while bowing his head.
"Do you want me to blow your head off, huh?" Jhoannes shouted angrily.
Jax lifted his head, coughed, and spat fresh blood from his mouth. "Sorry, sir," Jax said, roughly wiping the blood that was flowing down his chin.
"I will do anything you command. If I have to kill Axton, then I will do it even if it costs my own life," Jax said, looking seriously at Jhoannes.
"Letting you die at the hands of Walton's men? Are you kidding?" Jhoannes asked with a mocking smile.
"I will not die and will always accompany Miss El. I will never die!" Jax said firmly.
Jhoannes smiled and then wiped the remaining blood off Jax's cheek, licking the blood off his thumb. "That's what you should do, not die at the hands of Walton's men. But that's not what I want. Find a place where El cannot leave. Make sure El does not meet Axton and his child!" Jhoannes insisted.
"That is your task now, make sure El will never meet Axton again. Take them to a place where I can easily meet Camelia and El," Jhoannes continued, his gaze so firm.
"Alright, sir," replied Jax.
