Chapter 3 - 3

"Sir, your body is very dirty from the food you haven't eaten; now it's time for you to take a shower!" Sellyna said as she cleaned up the food bowl. She smiled proudly as Jayden had eaten two bites on his first day.

"Get out of my room," Jayden said, still annoyed.

"I'll leave when you've cleaned up. Don't worry, as long as you shower, I'll change your dirty sheets right away," Sellyna said.

Footsteps sounded in the distance, and Jayden grabbed the blanket and covered himself. Instead of bathing, he decided to curl up on the bed.

Sellyna re-entered Jayden's room with a change of clothes, a new blanket, and sheets. Her arrival infuriated the man. Jayden threw the sitting lamp at the door, but fortunately, Sellyna knew better and could avoid it.

Prang!

The shattering sound of the lamp shattered the room. Sellyna sighed heavily and approached the bed. She grabbed the blanket Jayden had used to cover his body and shoved it away roughly.

"Sir, you need a shower," Sellyna said with increasing annoyance.

"No way!" Jayden insisted.

Sellyna held back her irritation. "I'll take you to the bathroom; there's no way you're going to sleep with your body covered in porridge," Sellyna said, immediately taking his hand to lead Jayden off the bed.

"You're ...." Jayden held his body.

"Of course, I'm not going to bathe you, Sir," Sellyna said. "Unless you ask me to!" she added.

"Take me to the bathroom," he said coldly.

Sellyna led him to the bathroom, where she had prepared warm water in the bathtub and laid towels nearby. "Sir, the towel is on the left, and your change of clotthes is on the right. Do you remember?" Sellyna asked.

"Of course, go!" Jayden ordered.

Sellyna left the bathroom and closed the door. While Jayden tidied up, Sellyna changed the sheets and blankets and tidied the room.

Sellyna took the dirty sheets and blankets outside with the bin bag as the sitting lamp was broken.

"Can I have a new lamp?" Sellyna asked Karin.

"Of course, what other things are broken?" Karin asked for confirmation.

"That's it, nothing else. Um, I mean, there's nothing else."

"Alright!" Karin left, and Sellyna returned to wash the dirty blankets and sheets.

When she was done, she returned to check on Jayden's room.

Jayden hadn't come out of the bathroom yet, which worried Sellyna, so she approached the door and knocked. "Sir, are you finished?" Sellyna asked to make sure.

"Yes."

"May I come in?" Sellyna reached for the doorknob. "You should go back to bed and rest," Sellyna said.

Silence.

Jayden's silence made Sellyna think it was an affirmative answer. Sellyna went into the bathroom and helped Jayden to the bed. When he arrived, he immediately covered himself with the duvet.

"Get out!" Jayden ordered in a cold tone.

"Yes, Sir! If you need anything..."

"Damn! Get out now!" he growled.

Sellyna went to the bathroom and picked up some dirty clothes. She was surprised, however, that the new underwear was still intact. Did that mean Jayden hadn't appropriately changed?

"Sir!" Sellyna walked over to Jayden.

Brak!

The vase of flowers Jayden threw almost hit Sellyna's body. The girl clenched her fists in anger. "You didn't change your underwear?" Sellyna asked with increasing annoyance.

"What do you care? Get out of my room this instant," Jayden growled. The man's hand reached for the bedside table by the bed, then grabbed a vase of flowers and threw it at the sound.

Sellyna grumbled and started to leave the room, closing the door behind her. She returned to the back room to do some laundry, and when she was done, Sellyna went to her room to rest.

The first day in this place was full of surprises. But Sellyna was very happy because she could see both day and night. Especially as the night was so beautiful, Sellyna looked up at the star-studded sky and smiled.

This place was no worse for her than the cellar. Despite being next to the temperamental Jayden, Sellyna could go about her business without fear of what others would think of her ugly face.

The sound of knocking made Sellyna turn her head towards the door; she left the window and opened the door. Karina came to her and asked permission to enter the room.

"To be honest, Sellyna, the wounds on your face make me uncomfortable," Karin said very honestly.

Sellyna looked down and squeezed the dress she was wearing. "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to apologize," Karin said as she put the first aid kit on the bedside table. "I don't think the wound on your face is permanent. You can treat it with this ointment, and I hope it will fade in time."

Sellyna nodded. "Thank you."

Karin smiled. "Did you have a hard time today?" Karin asked for confirmation before leaving Sellyna's room.

"No," Sellyna replied confidently.

Karin smiled. "Sellyna, have you read the contract? I expect you not to tell anything you see today or from now on about Mr Jayden, even to another maid, except to me!" Karin insisted.

Sellyna nodded, and then Karin took her leave. After Karin left, the pavilion was very quiet. Sellyna stretched and closed the curtains, approached the bed, and switched on the lamp.

She reread the contract she had signed. Sellyna was shocked by the consequences. But the terms of the agreement were not tricky.

Yes, it was not difficult for Sellyna to stay in this place for the time being. Here, she could eat properly, sleep comfortably, and enjoy the sunshine during the day. The only difficulty was looking after the temperamental Jayden.

The next day, Sellyna woke early and got ready to start her day. A maid met her and brought breakfast for Sellyna.

"Madam, you should eat breakfast first," the maid said.

"Thank you," Sellyna said.

"My name is Lula, just call me Lula," said the girl.

"Thank you, Lula!" said Sellyna happily.

Lula nodded. "Since Mrs Karin is often busy, perhaps I could be the one to meet you, madam!" Lula told her.

Sellyna nodded, and Lula excused herself.

Sellyna ate her breakfast quickly and then began to work on her planned tasks. With the spare key she had brought, Sellyna opened the door to Jayden's room and greeted him.

"Good morning, Sir," Sellyna said.

The make-up of a room floated towards her. Sellyna quickly dodged it by going to the window and opening the curtains.

"It's so sunny today; what would you like for breakfast, Sir?" she asked reassuringly.

Instead of an answer, an object was thrown at her. Sellyna looked down at the pillow that had fallen beside her.

"Get out of my room," Jayden growled.

"I won't," Sellyna said as she glared back at Jayden, who threw the pillow at Sellyna again. Sellyna picked up the pillow and walked over to the bed.

"It's time for you to shower and change; I need to change your sheets, too," Sellyna said as she pulled back the blanket covering Jayden's body.

Jayden was so angry that he uttered curses. But Sellyna did not care about the curses.

"Get out of my room, you sneaky bitch!" Jayden snarled as he fumbled for the blanket.

But Sellyna had already moved the blanket away from Jayden's body and folded it.

Sellyna chuckled softly. "If you're not going to take a shower, at least change your clothes," Sellyna said, placing a change of clothes on Jayden's lap.

Jayden didn't move.

There were footsteps in the distance, then the squeak of the door. Jayden guessed Sellyna had left her room. Only then did he begin to change.

Sellyna took Jayden's breakfast tray from Lula, then returned to the men's room.

"Breakfast time," Sellyna chirped.

"Put that away, I don't need it," Jayden said.

Sellyna put it on the bedside table. "I'm going to feed you, so just sit and take it while I feed you. That way, the chef will be happy!" said Sellyna.

Brak!

Jayden knocked over the food tray, spilling the soup all over again. Sellyna let out a rude sigh and began to clean it up. Once clean, she returned with a new tray of food.

"Do you want me to force you like yesterday?" Sellyna growled.

"Who are you to raise your voice to me?" Jayden was no less annoyed.

"Me?" Sellyna asked. "Of course, I'm in charge of this room! Nobody cares about you anymore, Sir. If you're going to take power from me, at least be healthy," Sellyna said.

Jayden fell silent.

"Sit down and let me feed you," Sellyna said.

"No way!" said Jayden, waving his hand.

Again, the man's breakfast porridge spilled onto the floor.

Sellyna sighed roughly and began to clean it up. She went to get some fresh food and then returned to Jayden's side. The man was annoyed that the woman he was with was not one to give up easily.

"Why did you come back?" he asked, confused.

"To feed you, of course," Sellyna said.

But Jayden spilled his food repeatedly, and Sellyna was beginning to lose patience. It looked like she was going to do what she had done yesterday. After getting a fresh bowl of porridge, Sellyna grabbed Jayden's body and started to feed him.

However, Jayden refused to eat and spat out his food. So Sellyna's face was dirty again with porridge from Jayden's mouth.

"Is it because you were born into a wealthy family that you waste such good food?" Sellyna asked, holding back her anger. She fed Jayden and began to gag him again.

But this time, Jayden managed to bite Sellyna's hand. She whimpered at the pain.

"Get out of my sight, bitch," Jayden growled.

Sellyna sighed heavily; she had no choice but to continue forcing Jayden to swallow his food.

"Emmmh!" Jayden whimpered as Sellyna fed him more porridge and covered his mouth. Of the ten bowls of crushed porridge this time, only one bite made it into Jayden's stomach.

"Please, sir, change, I'll change your sheets." Sellyna pulled the sheets off and let Jayden's body roll off the bed onto the floor.

Jayden flinched, and then a sheet covered his body.

Sellyna managed to change the sheets and began to tidy up the bed and the spilled porridge. When she was finished, she glanced at Jayden, who had already changed. He immediately crawled into bed and grabbed the covers.

Sellyna was unmoved, her head full of questions: why did Jayden like to hide under the covers?
