Chereads / The Undead system / Chapter 34 - chaos

Chapter 34 - chaos

Jack being not much of a fantasy reader, didn't fancy reading mythological books much. But he did however come across some few places, he read about the MC growing stronger.

According to the books he'd read, there were some way being mostly rigorous training and meditation. But there were also some other obscene ways like cultivation, like his system had stated.

Now one would beg to question what happens, if one aquires too much power. The answer is simple, one can never aquire too much power! Everyday, every second, every moment, one evolves into a much better version of their self.

It was a natural law of nature, as the only thing that remained constant was change. The evolution of one self didn't seem too strange to jack, as it was just like leveling up. But this time getting 10× bonus from evolving.

But never for once had he ever read or heard, where it was stated a whole planet. Containing a certain number of population in it evolving. The idea just sounded too bizzare in his ears!

[of course. The same way a being grows stronger through it's evolution path, so does a planet.] The system calmly spoke, further leaving jack more perplexed.

[Think of it like this, every living thing absorbs this so called strange energy called mana. What happens when they've absorbed too much of mana?]

"Death?" Jack awkwardly uttered not knowing the answer to that question.

[Wrong! It's evolution. The body is a far more complex structure than you think. It's designed to constantly improve itself, and adapt to it's surroundings. which means it is an ever improving variant.] The system explained. Listening to the system, jack was beginning to grab a hold of what it was trying to say.

Normally, the human body had been a thing of fascination. always intriguing scientist to explore more about it. Though several tests were conducted, they could never truly understand the human nature. as it was just too oblique for their understanding.

"So you're saying the earth is going to evolve, after it has ammased a specific amount of mana?" Jack asked to which the system affirmed.

[Just like the plants, magically beasts, mythological creatures such as yourself, humans and basically any living bio matter is bound to evolve. so is the earth. Though it's arguable the earth isn't living, in reality it is.]

"But then-"

[Please don't try to ask. Your little intelligence wouldn't be able to comprehend it, and am afraid you might die as a result. Which would be a waste and pathetic death.] The system coldly said with every bit of honesty. Frowning, jack wanted to inquire further but stopped. His head was already banged up in pain, so he didn't need to further worsen matters.

"Ha.." jack let out a deep sigh staring upwards to the ceiling.

'I just hope I get to see kelly soon.' He thought, his mind drifting off to the times he shared with her.

'She always knew how to make things better.' Jack softly chuckled, reminiscing about all the fun times they spent together. Though small and occasionally, it still mattered dearly to him.

"I promise I'll get stronger and search for you." He vowed with determination burning brightly in his eyes. "Then we can be together again."

With nothing left to do jack decided to rest, by sleeping to recover. He'd overexerted his energy and needed to restock. He was still wary of that fox woman and the locals, but considering they hadn't killed him he crossed his fingers.

--------------------------

Up above the skies very far away in space, a huge building could be seen floating aimlessly in space. It had an astonishing feat, reaching high heights that would be considered impossible. With a breathtaking width, stretching wide across the emptiness in space.

A dark portal suddenly formed at the entrance, to this grand divine architectural beauty. With the emergence of a cloaked figure with dark clothing, holding a staff with a dull red gem.

There were several guards in shiny bronze clad armour, holding different weapons. All stationed at different spots in this castle, kingdom like building. Two male guards glanced at their self, before returning their gaze back to the figure approaching.

They wanted to utter a word but couldn't, instead shivering a bit at this sheer power contained in such a frail body.

"He's back, the prodigal brother of Zeus returns." One said catching his breath.

"S-should'nt we alert everyone of his return? I mean Zeus would be-"

"Shh.. don't ruin the fun." The first make guard shunned the other, his hand placed to his lips.

"Am sure Zeus would be ecstatic to see his only brother after millions of years." He said with a dark expression.

"Insolent vermin's, wouldn't you agree Casper?" He sighed aware of all their words.

"Meow." Casper softly purred appearing on hades shoulder. It's green emerald eyes enchantingly staring, with a hint of excitement.

"Haha! You're one naughty pet." Hades remarked chuckling a bit.

"Meow?" Casper meowed, rasing it brow a bit.

"Alright fine, partner." Hades rolled his eyes, passing by a group of female with baskets. woven from exquisite gems, and a strange glowing thread like material. In the baskets were alluring fruits pulsing with life, tempting all who gazed upon them to have a bite.

"Isn't that hades?" One of the female stuttered, feeling the a cold sensation trickle down her spine as he passed.

"Yeah but what's he doing here, wasn't he banished?" Another chipped in also shiver a bit.

"Forget that.. was he just talking to a cat?" Another uttered in shock, clearly seeing the black furry cat elegantly sitting on hades shoulder.

'Idiots.' Hades frowned clenching his fist. Ignoring the stares and gasps, he made his way inner into the buildings. Passing by other magnificent houses, built with precision and adorned with several precious stones.

He then made his way to the inner most walls. Walking past the guards, and making his way to a hidden passage. Heading up through the steps, he made his way up to a strange tower with an immense bright light radiating everywhere.

There were two doors present. One looked to have been made from pure gold. While the other looked to be made from burnt coal.

'Such racism.' Hades rolled his eyes clicking his tongue a bit. Waving his hand, a gust of wind blew away the dust on the floor. Revealing yet another door, attached to the floor with strange inscriptions.

"Nerf fram." Hades commanded his palm stretched. The inscriptions on the door then glowed for a bit before fading, with the emergence of a whole new passage.

Standing on it he then descended downwards, transported to yet an entirely different area. It was vast like space, but with the darkness and emptiness.

Several figures could be seen present in this space. They wore expensive clothes made from the best materials, with several eye flashing gems and priceless jewelries. All 8 of them seated calmly on the gold chairs. While several armed guards were stationed here.

"How dare you show your filthy face here after what you've done!" A young man roared getting to his feet. He wore a stylished silver armour that sparkled like diamond. He had long black hair with enchanting golden eyes, that mesmerized all who looked at him.

"How dare you talk to me in such mannar child. It seems I have to remind you of your place yet again." Hades body became fog, disappearing from his spot. Appearing in front of this man with golden eyes, grabbing his neck.

"Hades!" A much louder voice yelled ,causing the space to shake frantically with several cracks of lightning flashing.

"Ugh! Here we go again." Hades sighed already knowing what would happen. Like always, the same lightning bolt shot at godlike speed. hitting him in the chest, and pinning him to the wall on the same lane he stood.

"Hades!" The lighting bolt shouted again, crackling with tremendous power. It then materialized into the shape of a figure, specifically male. He had a young appearance, with smooth face jet black hair and beard. He was putting on a full gold set armor equipment.

"Hades." He snarled, his eyes crackling with lightning and ferociousity.

"Zeus, brother." Hades smiled. "Is this how you treat a brother you haven't seen for a million years?"

"You're not my brother any longer. How dare you show your face here, after what you've done. What were you thinking involving the humans in your mess!" Zeus yelled, causing a lighting strike to completely annihilate a pillar.

"After what I've done~ well, what did I do brother?"

"You involved the humans, my creations. when I specifically said not to!"

"You can't hide them forever brother, sooner or later they'll have to fight and you know it." Hades muttered staring his brother in the eyes.

"It was not your call to make."

"And it was your's? Please.. face it brother, we can't win this war by ourselves." Hades uttered shaking his head a bit. "At least that's what the silent one says anyways." Hades said making Zeus eye widen a bit in shock.

"T-the silent one. No.. what have you done hades?" Zeus frowned weakly letting go of hades.

"I did what I have to brother. There's a chance."

"No! There's no chance. We can't-" Zeus paused, staring at the faces of the other gods.

"We can't win this war." He grimly spoke clenching his fist.

"Hahaha!" Hades burst out in laughter taking everyone aback. "Of course we can't win this war, at least not by ourselves."

"What are you talking about?" Zeus asked with a frown.

"I have seeked the helped of the forgotten one. He will help us win this battle." Hades said making everyone gasp including Zeus.

"T-then you've just brought chaos upon us all." Zeus barely uttered his face going pale.
