Chereads / The Undead system / Chapter 36 - making an example!

Chapter 36 - making an example!

She'd been in his room since before dawn. Seeing he was still asleep, she decided to let him rest some more.

"His body is nicely built even though repulsive." She smiled her eyes trailing onto jack's body. Some parts of his skin were falling off but it was incredibly slow, and not that noticeable like before.

Even the foul stench he excluded was reduced, making him less repulsive to people.

'I wonder how long it is?' She thought, her eyes seductively trailing down to his lower region. Like a predator her gaze was locked to a specific spot. Her mouth drooling a bit, with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Mhmm. No, no!" She was taken aback a bit hearing jack suddenly scream. Shrugging her shoulders she took it as nothing, continuing in her work.

"No!" He screamed again much louder, jolting her body as she fell to the floor.

"Ouch! What the heck?" She frowned getting up and dusting herself. Staring at him, she could see he was sweating profusely squirming a bit.

'Is he having a fever?' She wondered. Touching his body, it had gotten really hot for no reason. It looked like he was being boiled alive.

"Chief! Chief!" She called out hoping to snap him out from his dream. Seeing no effects she even opted to shake him, and scratch him a bit just to wake him up. But to no avail.

'I wonder what he must be seeing.' She thought staring at him, worry washing over her face.

"Damnit you're not dying on me!" She shouted shaking him more violently and rapidly, till he eventually awakened.

"Are you sure you're alrigh? you could always call in sick you know." The female fox uttered observing jack.

"Am fine." He softly uttered shaking his head. "Just give me some minutes to prepare I'll be ready soon." Nodding she then went and sat an empty chair, watching jack.

"Err.." jack muttered surprised at her behavior. "Could you just-"

"Oh! You're the shy type huh? Interesting.." She giggled making jack chuckle awkwardly. Shaking her head she then turned, facing towards the exit of the room.

"I meant could you stay outside while I change. I'll be out soon." Jack frowned, not trusting this sneaky female fox woman one bit.

"Humph!" She scoffed puffing her cheeks a bit. Standing up she scoffed again, stomping her foot in anger exiting the room.

"Sooner or later, you're mine!" She yelled slamming the door on her way out. Hurriedly rushing over, jack made sure to lock the door and block all the windows and holes. To avoid any unwanted attention.

[Wow. She sure is relentless.] The system remarked.

"More like obsessive." Jack retorded rolling his eyes a bit. Shaking his head he then changed into a pair of clothing in the room, made from a material he guessed was similar to silk.

Strapping the ropes of the butter coloured boots, made from animal hides together.

'It's not so bad.' Jack smiled checking himself out in the mirror. The cloth was fashionable in it's own sense. Like the types of furry clothes, made from animal hides back in Agathe.

He didn't really fancy such as they were expensive, and not really his style. So he never bothered much about them, since they were rare to come across.

Finishing he then made his way to the door, only to find the female fox leaning on the door.

'Was she listening in?' It was no doubt she was trying to catch a hold of jack, while he changed.

"I never knew you were this obsessed with me." Jack teased. He could see tints of red on her cheeks.

"I-i wasn't. I just stayed here like you asked. What took you so long!?" She yelled storming away leaving jack standing there.

"This-" he was lost for words not knowing what to say. Shaking his head, he then followed behind the female fox woman.

They made their way through the main path leading to the village, as they arrived in no time. Passing by jack didn't come across any of the locals which was weird, as he'd expected a full staredown.

"Where is everyone?" He asked but only received a scoff from the woman. Walking a bit, they then made their way to the inner parts of the town.

[Am sensing multiple aura's here.] The system warned, to which he slightly nodded also feeling it. His senses were on high alert for any hints of an ambush.

Reaching the center of town there were few buildings present here. In front, was what could be considered a massive crowd.

"H-how many are they?" Jack wondered amazed at their share numbers. He couldn't try counting them as their population was just a bit much, considering this was a small town.

"Look it's him, the one who killed jin." An orc muttered to another.

"I saw it with my own two eyes. He did it in under an hour!" Another said with a grim voice.

"He also beat me up badly. And he wasn't even going all out." The cyclops jack recognized from the bar murmured.

"I wonder if he's just as strong down there?" Another fox woman with brown skin grinned, making the small group of fox women giggle staring at a particular spot.

'What is it with fox women and lust?' Jack wondered, finding it surprising at their level of lust. He'd come across few things about them in books he saw. Mainly being they had extreme lustful and fetish desires. Willing to mate with any creature, they find amusing.

[It's normal here considering they breed almost everyday to repopulate their kind and spread their race.]

He attempted to follow the fox woman with black and white fur, standing amongst the crowd but was stopped by a voice. Looking, he could see three figures standing on a small risen wooden podium besides a well.

There were from the three tribes present there, fox, orc and cyclops. Still no goblins. They looked really old, having wrinkled skin and even some visible white hairs.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate you on defeating Jin, the previous village chief and ruler of this town." The first to speak was the male orc, according to his system on clarification on it's gender. There was only one female and two male up there.

'Nice.' Jack smiled, seeing the three figures were slightly shaking afraid of him.

'Am not excluding any aura, but they're this terrified of me.' He thought with a smug grin.

"And as per our customs, the one who kills the previous village chief is automatically our next chief." The cyclops spoke second.

"And what better future to ensure than with a stronger chief to lead us." The old foxman spoke last trying to act calm.

"So without further ado, please step onto this scared ground for your inauguration." He said gesturing jack to come forth. Playing along jack walked forth with confidence, feeding off the fear of the locals.

Reaching he saw they took a step back, cowarding in fear at his presence. Their heads slightly lowered.

"P-please kneel." The orc politely spoke in a pleading tone, making jack chuckle a bit. Not refusing he knelt on one knee, his eyes locked onto them.

"We will now begin the inauguration process." They declared, to which the crowd began chanting a strange incantation.

'A ritual?' Jack wondered seeing them bring a young white lamb from behind, wrapped in a black cloth.

[It's astonishing what strange culture such terrible race of savages exhibit.] the system ecstatically spoke to which jack rolled his eyes.

The cyclops held the lamb up in the air a bit from jack's head. While the orc went to grab an item below, through the steps from a wooden table.

"O dark one we pay homage to you. We are here once again, to seek your power and guidance for our new village chief." The old fox chanted several times, stretching his hand out. The orc then placed an item to his hand, specifically a small knife.

"O great dark one of the abyss, destroyer of worlds, ender of lives. Grant us your power today!" He shouted making a deep cut to the lamb's neck. The blood gushing out from the lamb onto jack's head, drenching him in blood.

"All hail the dark one, all hail the village chief!" They all chanted bowing their head down to jack.

'Well, this was unexpected.' Jack thought not expecting any of this. He wondered who was this so called dark one, they referred to like a god.

[+100 dominion points.]

Jack stared at the system notification in shock. He didn't know what dominion points were but had a hunch, as it was among one of the new tabs he'd unlocked.

"T-the village chief is advised to say a few words to address his subordinates." He was snapped from his trance by the old foxman voice.

"Of course." Jack smiled calmly walking out to the end of the podium. A proud look was plastered on his face, staring at the different races here.

"I want-" he was abruptly cut short by an explosion, not too far from here.

"Goblins!" A fox woman yelled, pointing at the group of five goblins charging at them. They had green skin with rusty chest armour and weapons.

Before anyone could react though, a gust of wind blew past them. The goblins movement slowed stopping completely.

"What happened?" The crowd murmured in shock, stunned by the sudden change of events.

The next second the goblins head rolled off, falling to the floor with blood gushing out from them. Their lifeless bodies falling to the floor with a figure standing there.

"How rude." Jack frowned staring at the goblins without any emotion. He was rudely interrupted by these creatures before his speech, so he decided to make an example.

"Listen up!" He yelled garning all their attention. "My rule is simple, obey me or die." He coldly spoke sending shivers down their spine.

"Now this is just sexy." The fox woman with black and white fur grinned, biting her lips seductively. Turning, jack could see more goblins approaching with wild intentions.

'Time to level up.' He smiled with a creepy expression.
