Somewhere in the outskirts of Agathe continent far away, a huge building could be seen in the deserts. If one measured it stood at a towering 20feets high, stretching as wide as possible. An iron structure was erected, fencing around the grand building that looked more like a very big factory.
Smoking steam potruded from the long metal pipes, located at different sections of this building. A black van could be seen making it's way to this dominating structure.
Reaching the gates, the driver placed his identity card to a small scanner by the side.
'Beep! beep!'
Some beeping sounds were made as the scanner scanned the card. After some seconds it shone green, with the gate sliding back open. Moving further, there was yet another checkpoint made from a special kind of iron with holes.
Several armed guards dressed in black special ops uniform, could be seen patrolling the area.
"Identify yourself!" A guard shouted from behind the fence.
"Transport vehicle k-2123. Here's my id card and my golden template." The driver calmly said, waving the id card and golden. He then dropped it by the small post stand, which was then conveyed by a moving belt transporting it into the compound.
Picking it up, the guard thoroughly checked it for any signs of fraudulent activity. Validating it's authenticity the guard then pressed some buttons, to which the fence slid to the side open.
Calmly walking over the guard was on alert, his weapon raised and his fingers hovering over the trigger ready to squeeze.
"I-is there a problem officer?" The young man with gold razor cut hair stuttered, shaking a bit. He was clearly intimidated by the guard, I mean who wouldn't shiver with a gun pointed at your head.
Ignoring him, the guard checked the passenger seat which was empty.
"Open the back!" He commanded to which the young man obliged. Going to the back of the van the guard carefully open the doors, his gun pointed.
Looking, he could only see black crates with a strange symbol of a growing plant with the sun shining down to it. Opening a crate, there were about five green table tennis sized orbs.
'No fucking bombs.' The male guard sighed, seeing there wasn't any bomb planted in the crates. Only the greens orbs, as a crate contained five orbs.
"Here you go~" The guard returned the template and ID card to the man, finishing his search.
"You can go in now." He gestured to which the driver nodded, moving the car into the compound.
'This place is amazing.' The driver thought, amazed at the breathtaking sight of the complex structure. It looked like a bunch of buildings but in reality, it was just one comprising of different sections. Crowds of people could be seen buzzing like flies, going about whatever tasks they were doing.
Parking the van by the parking lot located at the west side, he got out from the vehicle picking two crates.
"You got this Ryan.." the man sighed. Taking a deep breath, he then made his way into the nearest section of the building.
Entering the ground floor it was quite spacious, with various screens and cameras all round. There wasn't much people here, except the three females at the counter.
'Damn! they're hot.' Ryan thought drooling as he gazed at the three beauties. There were two brunette haired by both sides, and a red head in the middle. All were wearing a standard office work uniform, of black and white.
"Alright Ryan.. you got this." He muttered to himself, dropping the crates and brushing his hair a bit with his hands. Picking up the crates he took a deep breath, heading towards the counter.
"Hello beauty's, today sure is a fine day huh?" He smiled winking at them. The three women then raised their heads up unanimously, at the same time.
"Welcome to Enders power source, please state your name." They said in a monotone voice taking Ryan aback a bit.
'Nothing weird..'
"Ehhm! My name is Ryan Fischer, but you can call me Ryan." He smiled winking. "May I know your names?"
"Thanks for the compliment. We are model 58b, but you can call us m58." They spoke in a dialogue tone, making Ryan's eye widened.
'Shit! They're sentinels.' Ryan inwardly cursed face slapping his forehead. He would've never taken them for sentinels, as they looked so real. Harum city was one of the poorest cities in Agathe, so only few people could afford sentinels. And he sure as hell couldn't afford a sentinel, so he had never really interacted with one.
'How could I be so stupid.' Tints of red could be seen on his cheeks from embarrassment, of making a fool out of himself.
'Sighs.. better than nothing.' He shrugged deciding to give it a shot.
"Geez.. it sure is cold in here, I think am gonna freeze to death if I don't warm up." He pretended to be cold shivering a bit.
"Weird. Your vital signs show your body temperature is at a normal state." They furrowed their brows in suspicions.
'What the heck, they already scanned me?' Ryan tried covering his body, feeling violated for some reason.
"I-i didn't say it was ok to scan me. geez~" Ryan retorded sarcastically.
"Your permission wasn't needed. It's company policy to scan everyone that enters this building, for security measures." Models 58b coldly said.
"Though an unusual heat with high level of testosterones were spotted. With the rising of your little brother, which indicates you're horny." They indifferently said making Ryan's face more flushed, going bright red like an overripe tomatoe.
"We suggest releasing stress by having-"
"Enough!" Ryan declared, storming away from them to the elevator. He couldn't afford to listen to anymore of their words, or he'd definitely die of embarrassment.
'I can't believe I just got burned by a machine.' Ryan thought panting a bit, embarrassed and excited. Pressing the green button, the elevator doors opened to which he entered.
Usually, there were different buttons for each floor someone wanted to go in the elevator. But there was only a single button, located on the control panel by the side.
"Ground floor." shaking his head he pressed the button.
"Ding! You are now leaving the surface, please hold on." The male system voice resounded, with the emergence of a straight metal bar and to cut out spaces below.
Placing the crates a clank sound was heard, followed by a systematic hissing. Ignoring the system warning, Ryan refused to hold the metal bar for support. But he soon regretted it as the elevator began it's descent, moving at a fast pace.
"Shit." Ryan grunted flung back to the ground. He tried to reach out and grab the bar but it was too late, as gravity opposed him. the gravitational force weighing down on him.
The elevator moved at a more faster pace each minute, making Ryan throw up several times to floor. After about 5 minutes the torment was over, as the elevator was slowing down until it finally stopped.
"You have reached your destination, have a nice day." The systems voice spoke again, with the crates unlocked. Followed by the doors opening.
'A-am never taking the elevator again.' Ryan vowed, picking the crates and quickly exiting the elevator, afraid if he wasted much time he would have to suffer the same torment.
'Where am I?' He knew he was underground, but he didn't know how deep under he was.
"Ground zero." He read the sign hung above. Following the arrow pointing left, he headed through the narrow passage by the corner.
'Why does this feel like a horror show?' There was no signs of people nearby or noise, only silence. He could tell there were people watching him, by the active cameras following his movements but still, the awkward silence and this secluded path just made things eerie.
"Finally a door." Hasting his footsteps he reached the door, placing his identification card to the scanner. After which he then did biometrics and optical scan, before the door finally opened backwards.
"Woah!" was the first thing that came out his mouth staring ahead. It looked like he was transported to a whole different place entirely.
Huge monitoring screens were hung, flooded with feeds of different sections of the building. Several sci-fi laboratory equipments were stationed almost everywhere. Various smaller office departments occupied with various weird stuff, layed in the vast spacious room.
"Y-you don't see something like this everyday." Ryan stuttered, slowly making his way down the stairs. His eyes could never go off the breathtaking scene in front, as it was just explicit.
"Hold! Please identify yourself." A male sentinel stopped Ryan, it's hand stretched out.
'Again with the security measures.' Ryan frowned rolling his eyes. He then placed his ID card and golden template to the sentinel hand.
"Ryan Fischer, transporter. Place the packages by the loading area that way." The sentinel gestured to which Ryan nodded. Going he stopped by a secluded path by the right, with a label with the words 'Project Silence' placed on the door.
"Huh. I wonder what's going on in there?" Ryan thought, shrugging his shoulders and walking away.
