Chapter 1 - The Beginning Of Uncertainty

"What the hell?" I muttered, rubbing my head as a splitting pain pulsed through it.

I looked around, trying to figure out where I was. Definitely not my room. The Captain America poster on the wall? Yeah, that made it obvious.

I swung my legs off the bed, ready to stand, but the pain in my head suddenly exploded.

"Ahhh!" I yelled, grabbing my head like it was about to split open.

As the pain gradually subsided, I couldn't help but think, This feels so cliché.

Then it happened. Memories random ones started flooding in. Memories that weren't mine.

Oh no. Oh, hell no.

If someone was reading this as a story which obviously wasn't possible they'd already know what just happened. I got transmigrated.

Hahahahah.

I laughed loudly, almost hysterically, for a few seconds before shouting, "Why?! Why me?!"

I didn't sign up for this! Sure, I liked anime, movies, and all that stuff, but living in one? Hard pass. And Marvel of all places? Are you kidding me?

"Shit," I whispered, trying to calm myself. Freaking out wasn't gonna fix anything.

So, since everything else about this was already insane, I decided to take a shot in the dark. "System?"

And guess what? A glowing blue screen popped up right in front of me, just like in Solo Leveling.

[System Online]

Okay. Maybe this wasn't all bad.

It's a Gacha system, which has become pretty popular in fanfictions lately. In fact, the last thing I read was a Marvel Gacha System story where the author admitted it wasn't on the same level as another, older fanfic with the same plot.

And now, here I am, living the same situation. But my system? It's a little different.

[ Random World x1 ]

It's kind of like a believer system.

I can earn fate points from manga, movies, manhwa, or other media, but only if the mode for that type is unlocked. For example, if I create a movie while the movie mode is locked, I won't get any points from it.

The worlds I can work on to get points or cards are also limited. New worlds can be unlocked during Gacha spins. For now, I've been assigned a random world, and since the manga mode is unlocked, it's probably going to be a manga. I'll check it out later to confirm.

The cards I pull can include anything from templates and summons to items, powers, or even mundane stuff like soil or trees from that world. So, yeah, not every card is going to be useful. There are also special cards, like assimilation slots (I only have one right now) or travel cards that let me move between worlds or unlock other functions.

And even though it's not technically restricted, I can't just abandon a project halfway if I unlock a new world. For example, if I get Naruto, I'll need to keep working through Boruto to maximize the cards I can pull from that universe. Sure, I could theoretically pull something like Isshiki Otsutsuki's template by only working on the Naruto Chunin Exam arc, but the odds are way lower than if I include Boruto. The more progress I make in a world, the better variety of cards I'll have access to.

Since it's a manga, it should be easy to work on, especially since the body I am occupying belongs to an orphan, a new orphan, actually. His father died a month ago, and his mother passed away during childbirth. I sympathize with him since I was an orphan in my past life too, but I quickly recover.

Why will working on manga be easy? Because Stephen's father owned a printing press. Well, technically, it is a shut-down printing press that went out of business due to losses.

Getting the distribution sorted can come later, but first, I will need to focus on producing a proper product. The final product cannot just be pages with drawings, it will need proper trimming, binding, and finishing to be market-ready.

I can figure everything else out later. For now, let's check the timeline.
