Chapter 30 - Outdoor Training!

"Class, from this week onwards, Year twelve classes will be taking an extra Outdoor Combat Training class. Students who have reached 10 percent in their Nuclear pulse activation, please sure to gather in school on Saturday morning at 8 AM. Military personnel will handle the logistics for you to head to the Wilderness to hunt some isolated beasts, and use this opportunity to train your Bloodline abilities, train your combat abilities and enhance your strength."

The moment this was announced, the class atmosphere immediately exploded into a cacophony of noises.

Students who had activated 10 percent of their nuclear pulse were immediately excited. Actual combat! It was actual combat! This was something everyone had been looking forward to!

One had to know that the usual training they have was fighting each other and attacking some inanimate objects. Only those who were well-off had the means to procure some low-level beasts to use as training on their own.

As for going to the suburbs alone to hunt for isolated beasts... Forget that; it was much too dangerous.

Let alone the off chance that they were unlucky and encountered a powerful beast (Although the beasts in the wild were mostly eradicated by the military, there are still some that managed to slip through), there were shady people operating in the countryside. That by itself was a variable they had to take into concern. Who knew if they would get robbed?

With the military organizing the activity, everyone's safety was guaranteed, at the very least, and they could increase their activation rate and train their fighting strength. It truly couldn't get any better than that!

What, did you say Saturdays are rest days?

Che, to have the opportunity to train themselves , except for an extremely small minority of people who weren't looking to improve themselves, who cares if you were resting or not? Instead, they would rather have the opportunity to do this every day!

Compared to the high-spirited students who had activated percent of their nuclear pulse, the other students couldn't help but reveal dejected looks on their faces, especially those 'trash' who no longer had any hopes of becoming a Supersoldier in their lifetime. Their faces looked as if they were in mourning.

"Keep quiet, everyone. Don't cause a ruckus."

The teacher creased his brow. When the students quietened down, he continued, "Those who aren't beastmasters, don't feel dispirited. Work hard to get into a good university. You can work towards becoming a beast cultivator, too. Moreover, even if you aren't able to work in a profession related to beasts, it's not like we don't need talents in other fields!

"Society is diversified. As long as you work hard, you will definitely find a place where you belong. You mustn't lose heart."

When Instructor Klein was done speaking, Xavier raised his hand.

"Xavier, do you have a question?"

Xavier stood up from his seat, feeling the gaze of his classmates as he asked, "Instructor Klein, why aren't we going to a dimensional zone to conduct our outdoor combat training?"

This question was exactly what everybody else was thinking.

-Right, isn't it better to go directly to a dimensional zone to conduct the outdoor combat training?-

There were more beasts in there, and there was even a chance of obtaining Blood crystals! That was much better than doing so in the suburbs.

Instructor Klein swept his gaze across his students and explained, "Technological devices aren't reliable in most dimensional zones, and the possibility of encountering a high-tier beast is also higher. It is too dangerous. Thus, a dimensional zone wasn't chosen as the location for the outdoor combat training. Of course, you don't have to be anxious, either. When you enter university in the future, they will organize things for Super soldiers to train in a beast world."

It was only after hearing this that they realized it was indeed too dangerous.

Moreover, the geographical environment in a dimensional zone was complicated. What if someone got separated from the group?

It wasn't like the outside world in there, where everybody had their personal terminal and could be located with GPS easily.

In that case, even if they couldn't go to a dimensional zone, going to the suburbs to hunt for some low-tier beast was also very worth looking forward to!

In the blink of an eye, every student was eager with anticipation, wishing that tomorrow was Saturday!

...

Morgana rushed to the public bus stop she frequented early in the morning, hoping to bump into that young man's figure.

Alas, she returned in disappointment in the end.

"What should I do? My dear Miles had already went into a dimensional zone for two days! Why isn't he back yet?

"It couldn't be that he met with some danger, right? It can't be!"

"Mm, that's right! My dear Miles is definitely the best! How could anything happen to him?"

Morgana's imagination ran wild during her journey, and her expressions kept changing from one to another. After that, it was unknown what she was thinking, as a slight smile showed on her chubby face and she stamped her feet on the ground out of habit.

Dong!

The whole public bus trembled violently for a moment. Every passenger felt their bodies sway slightly, and the bus driver in front thought that his vehicle had hit something. He instinctively stepped on the brakes, and the whole bus suddenly plunged into momentary chaos.

~~~~~~
Dinglingling...
The bells that signified the end of class rang. Following the teacher's exit from the classroom, a group of young men and women ran out of the class, one after another. Some of them ran down the stairs, heading to the schoolyard below, while some of them leaned against the corridor railings in groups and started mingling among themselves.
The tall and muscular Xavier was walking towards the washroom at the lower levels with big strides, when suddenly a slightly chubby young man came up from behind him.
"Xavier, I have some news to tell you."
