A thousand miles west of the jungle and yet the roars of battle could be still be heard.
In the city of Daya. Found within the Draki region, stood an imposing man clad in a tailored coat of deep crimson, edged with intricate gold embroidery resting his hands slightly on an ornate windowsill.
He was no ordinary noble.
The man was a vision of commanding authority. His dark hair was streaked with strands of silver and his piercing eyes , the color of molten ember , scanned the horizon East of him. His eyes betraying his plans and calculated schemes.
Ambition.
His presence was magnetic, regal yet with an underlying menace, as if the air itself bent to accommodate his power.
He was Lorcan Drego, ruler of Castle Drego , and the undisputed might of the Draki Region, despite only occupying one of the three great cities.
Behind him, a servant in the livery of the House Drego stepped and bowed deeply.
" The horses are ready, Lord."
The Servant spoke, but the man did not immediately acknowledge him. Instead, his gaze lingered on the horizon, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
"And Raizier?" He asked as he turned around. His movement fluid yet deliberate.
" He will not squander the opportunity given to him , sire"
"Good !"
The man said, his tone layered with satisfaction and a hint of warning.
" The Antari Region must be secured without any flaw. I will not tolerate failure, not now!"
"Yes sire. The young lord will undoubtedly Clear the dungeon and claim the title of Overlord."
A flicker of amusement found it's way into Lorcan's facial.
" Indeed, who would dare stand against me??"
Raising his voice, he then called
" heed my words Scribe!
' Let it be known: All those who aid Castle Drego shall have my favour. And those already making moves in the Antari Jungle should be aware of my will."
The man then turned back to the window, his eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.
....
Moments before Reid lost consciousness. The eagle-like creature, grotesque and unnaturally large, hovered above the chaos with a horrified gaze filled with terror.
He was ready to act and escape the moment the battle came it's way.
So when it noticed that the red aura surging towards it, it acted on instincts and tried to escape.
Only to be pushed right back to its nest atop the large tree by the green aura.
It screeches in agony as its body collided with the hollow core of the tree that Reid had seen extend upwards.
It's screems and screaches echoed and reverberated throughout the air but was muted by the roars and groans of the battling titans.
It's descent was painfull. It's skin was decaying and it's bones eroding revealing a skeleton frame when it came in contact with the green and red auras.
The same was true with Reid's body and fortunately for him, he was unconscious. His brain unable to handle the pain.
But why was the Eagle still conscious , why was it's brain not registering any pain and initiating the bodies immune defensive system??
The answer was in it's Torso.
Deep inside the Eagles Torso, was a faint white glow that pulsed with an otherworldly radiance.
It could only be seen because of the damage the Eagle was taking.
And it was also the reason the Eagle was still alive, preventing it's annihilation.
Even though miniscule compared to the rate of disintergration and erosion, the faint glow seem to be healing the Eagle.
But it was all for naught, and the faint glow reacted with urgency as if it understood that.
It flared brightly with a pure force. It erupted from the Eagles Torso as if it was jumping ships.
And for a brief moment, it was revealed
A hexagonically round shaped crystalline core.
But only for a split moment though
Because it tore open space. Leaving behind fissures and a white silvery trail behind it before it found it's way inside Reid's forehead.
Reid's unconscious body was then covered with countless hexagonal crystals creating a fragile looking cacoon .
Suddenly, the cacoon drooped and plummeted from the air, still leaving fissures in space as it dug deep underground.
Reaching a dead zone. A place where the earth was so hard that the cacoon could not dig anymore, Reid's consciousness was forcefully awakened by a blinding pulse of static.
He could hear a series of mechanical , shattering chimes that echoed in the void of his mind.
