Lyra: "We got to go back! If the sigils are alarms, then Aria and Kairos could be in trouble."
Elias: "What about the Kid? We can't just leave him here."
They all looked back at the Kid then around them.
Lyra: "I'll stay with him. You two go help Kairos and Aria."
Lorcan: "You sure Lyra?"
Lyra nodded her head. The other two started heading out. Emille and Lyra looked at each other with uncertain eyes.
Back at the Farmhouse.
Kairos stood off against the towering Demon. Neither could make a move yet.
Kairos: 'This is really fucking bad. Where are the others? This guy's definitely out of my league. And she makes this situation so much worse.'
Moloch: "Well? Aren't you attack me stupid human?"
Moloch puffed his chest at Kairos.
Moloch: "First hit you. Go on tiny human!"
Sweat beads rolled down Kairos' face. He looked back at Aria to see if she was alright. She couldn't move; she was terrified. He looked back towards Moloch and smirked.
Kairos: "Alright, I guess I have to. You asked for this though."
Kairos pulled back his fist then launched it forward into Molochs chest. The force of it causing steam to appear. His hand began spewing blood and his fingers were broken. Moloch stood unfazed and largely disappointed.
Moloch: "That all stupid humans? Too bad. Too bad!"
Moloch uppercut Kairos in the stomach, launching him into the air. He coughed up blood as Moloch grabbed his wrist. The sharp Keratin lining his Palms tore into Kairos flesh. He then threw Kairos into the wall causing it the crumble. Kairos fell to the ground spitting up more blood.
Aria: "Kairos! Get up please!"
Kairos slowly looks up at her.
Kairos: "Aria… get out of here! Run!"
Moloch turned her way and started walking towards her.
Moloch: "Now dumb females turn!"
Aria began running out of the house. She ran through the yard as Moloch wasn't far behind. She went straight for the empty barn. She shut the barn doors behind her and backed up to the other side of the building. Suddenly a fist went straight through the door and ripped it off the hinges. He tossed it off to the side and walked towards Aria.
Moloch: "Hehe, females so fun! So stupid and weak!"
He threw a punch down towards her. It was suddenly stopped halfway. Moloch gave a frustrated look and saw a small hand holding his fist back. The hand led to a body, that body being Kairos.
Moloch: "How still alive? Oh well Moloch just kill agai-"
Kairos kicked him in the liver, and he dropped to a knee. He then gave him his own uppercut, hitting his chin, and knocking him backwards onto the ground.
Kairos: "Huff... Huff... why the Hell would you run into a barn?"
Aria: "I don't know, it seemed smart in the moment."
Moloch started to get back up. He was laughing and started praising Kairos.
Moloch: "HAHAH! Me think I underestimated you. You are strong than thought."
His body began glowing.
Moloch: "Think I use magic now."
Kairos: 'Shit! This is bad. He was that strong without magic?! At this rate we're both going to die here!'
Molochs laughing continued as he drove his arms into the ground. Kairos quickly picked Aria up and threw her out a barn window.
Kairos: "Go get the others! I'll take care of him."
Aria: "But!... okay."
Aria ran to the tree line towards the camp. Kairos turned and saw Moloch rip up a large chunk of earth.
Kairos: "Alright ugly fucker let's go!"
Moloch threw the chunk at Kairos, but he just slides under it. The chunk flew into the barn wall and completely tore it out. Kairos jumped into the air and threw down a heavy kick right onto Molochs head. A hard Shockwave was sent through Kairos' entire body along with a bone cracking feeling. He ended up falling to the ground holding his leg.
Kairos: "Fuck fuck fuck! How did that not work!"
Moloch: "Hahah! You really dumb! My magic makes me hard as mountain!"
In the Forest.
Aria continued running until she came across the ashen ruins of the city. She looked around frantically until she heard a voice.
Elias: "Aria! Over here! Are you okay?"
Aria: "No! Elias, Lorcan! Kairos needs help!"
They rushed back as fast as possible. Making it back to the tree line they saw the Farmhouse and Barn burning down.
Elias: "Shit!"
Elias rushed in the barn looking for Kairos. He could barely see because of the smoke but he finally heard Kairos coughing in a stall. Elias pulled him out and laid him on the ground.
Elias: "Shit Kairos, Kairos! Talk to me man!"
Kairos started hacking up some blood. His leg and arm were completely broken a d he was covered in blood and cuts.
Kairos: "I…. I got the sucker's nose ring."
He held his arm up grasping a bloody golden ring.
