Elias never broke eye contact. Finally, he gets to meet the leader of the demons who have attacked and mercilessly slaughtered thousands, including Emille. His teeth grinded together thinking about how Emille died. He thought about how he probably watched all his friends and family murdered in front of him. Ifrit just stared back at Elias. His vision never faltered or moved away from him. He was the opposite of Elias in that very moment, He stood over him and looked down at him, he even had the relaxation to smile. This angered Elias even more as he started towards Ifrit, he pushed past the ashy air and sulfuric fumes. His fists preemptively lit his hands aflame as he heard the noises of Abyssal slumbering forward. He threw his fist forward lighting one of the Abyssal on fire and flooring it. Another swung an old blade his way, but he stopped it with his hand. The blade melted into a puddle as he then shot fire out of his palm lighting that one on fire. It collapsed in front of him as he continued forward. Ifrit watched Elias effortlessly combat his way through the horde of Abyssal in front of him. The ease with which Elias fought through them put a small smile on his face. He began to get excited at the thought of the fight he'd have ahead of him. Suddenly Elias stopped merely a few feet from where Ifrit now stood. He gripped his fists as Ifrit began speaking.
Ifrit: "Well, good to meet you, Elias! I'm sure you've heard of me by now, but I am Ifrit, Senior Commander of Lord Leviathans 52 Legions of Hell! I am very pleased to see we share such similar magical abilities. Though yours are inferior I'm sure we will still have the grandest of times! HAHAHA!"
Elias became even more angered after hearing the words Ifrit had to say to him. His body temperature continued to rise until his body involuntarily ignited and he was surrounded in flame. Ifrit was caught off guard by this sudden ignition but continued to smile as if he was happy to see Elias so prepared to confront him.
Gabriel: 'Elias! Calm down, your body isn't at the level it needs to be for the heat you're nearing. If you continue to raise it, you'll begin to burn yourself!'
Elias: 'Gabriel… He is the one responsible for this… How can I not be angry!'
Ifrit: "As much as I acknowledge your eagerness young Elias, we simply shouldn't fight just yet! Not until the appetizers are fini-"
Elias suddenly pounced, He transferred all his heat and firepower into his fist and jabbed Ifrit right in his face. Elias' anger then turned to shock as Ifrit was unfazed by the attack. Suddenly Ifrit grabbed Elias's arm and pulled him in, wrapping his inner elbow around Elias's neck restraining him.
Ifrit: "Honestly, I'm as eager as you young Elias but, we shouldnt spoil our appetites so soon! Now stop struggling and watch!"
Ifrit forced Elias's view down into the valley where he just fought his way towards him. Elias saw Lyra struggling against Bakasura and then not too much further from them Kairos was trying his hardest to stop Moloch.
Ifrit: "You see young Elias? These appetizers must be finished first!"
Down towards Lyras side Lorcan helped her up off the ground.
Lorcan: "Shit that looks bad. Are you going to be able to fight?"
Lyra: "Do I have a choice!"
She lifted her blade with shaky arms, and she prepared to confront Bakasura. He finally grabbed hold of the arrow in his eye and pulled it out. Blood sprayed out of his socket, and he threw a small tantrum stabbing the ground repeatedly. He then turned to Lyra and Lorcan and let out a screech that could've busted their ear drums.
Bakasura: "YOU SON OF A BITCH! THAT WAS MY FUCKING AANKH YOU SHOT OUT!"
Lorcan: "And I'll do it again you bastard!"
He pulled his bowstring back and aimed for Bakasuras head. Before he could release it Bakasura stormed him, sending his arm bone straight toward his face. Lyra quickly jumped in and deflected the launched bone. Several more were shot their way as Lyra struggled to keep up thanks to the injury. She deflected and split bone after bone but was slowing done fast.
Lyra: "Lorcan you have to do something!"
Lorcan: "Give me a little more time!"
Lorcan: 'Hey, what's our chances of winning right now?'
Lorcan's Soul Binder: 'About 23%, If you hit this next shot.'
Lorcan nodded to acknowledge what his soul binder said. He took a deep breath and closed one eye. Bakasura was running to the point of a blur around both. Occasionally charging in and trying to land lethal strikes but usually staying the distance and shooting spikes their way. Lorcan was sweating to the point a large bead made its way to the tip of his nose. He collected a bunch of his magic power into the arrow and focused until the sweat bead broke free of his nose. Before it could hit the ground, he released the bow string, and the arrow launched.
Lorcan: "HYPER SHOT!"
The arrow precisely shot through the clashes of Lyras blade and the bone being launched. It curved under an incoming spike and then suddenly accelerated in speed and shot right into Bakasuras side. The impact caused an outburst of air and sent Bakasura flying away from them.
Lyra: "Took you long enough."
Lyra started huffing and Lorcan gave her a look as if to say sorry. They looked up to see Bakasura laying in a mesh of dirt and overturned trees. The arrow had disintegrated from the force of the shot but left a dangerous injury. A large hole was opened in Bakasuras side.
Lyra: "Is… Is he dead...?"
Lorcan: "I'm not sure but, we shouldn't stay we got to get the others."
They turned away and started walking away.
Lorcan's Soul Binder: 'LORCAN WAIT!'
Before he could respond Bakasura impaled him in the stomach and hoisted him over him. Lyra turned around mortified.
Bakasura: "YOU THINK YOU WERE DONE WITH ME!? YOU DAMNED LITTLE RUNT!"
Lorcan coughed up blood as he tried to grab at Bakasuras bone. When he touched it, smaller spikes suddenly shot out of it cutting into his hands and his insides. He looked over at Lyra and reached his hand out. She severed the bone and quickly grabbed Lorcan and ran.
Lyra: "DAMMIT LORCAN! DON'T DIE!"
Lyra: 'Tomoe! Can you help him somehow!'
Tomoe: 'I'm sorry Lyra I can't. I don't have any sort of healing abilities. Besides, that type of injury will require a master healer.'
Suddenly Lorcan's Soul Binder manifested outside of Lorcan and was flying alongside Lyra while she ran.
Lorcan's Soul Binder: "I can heal him. It'll just take time; can you give me time to save his life?"
Lyra nodded and suddenly stopped. She laid Lorcan on the ground in front of his Soul Binder and then drew her sword and turned around. Bakasura was in the distance slowly walking towards her, his wound now covered in bone.
Bakasura: "aap ghrinit chhote cratin mahan ke khilaaf kiye gaye aparadhon ke lie prayashchit karenge Bakasura!"
