A burst of purple colour energy was expanding out from the magic circle. When the cloud energy touched the snakes, all the snakes were paralysed, and became motionless.
"Now" Alvin thought to himself. This was his only choice to escape. If he failed, he would face serious consequences.
He jumped across the huge snake, and flew through the exit. In the air, he turned around, used his last stamina and cloud energy to cast wind blade.
"Wind blade." Alvin exclaimed. The wind blade broke the rock around the exit and collapsed the exit. He managed to block it to prevent the snake from coming out.
Then, Alvin fell on the ground that was full of snow. He gazed at the clear sky with a sense of relief in his eyes, panting, sweating.
"Yes." Alvin raised his hand, clenched his fist and exclaimed. Indeed, it was a dangerous and tough journey. He managed to escape. On top of that, he got some earnings along the way.
Alvin grinned as he thought about what he earned.
First, he found a new cloud plant, which would get him a B class award. Second, he got the information of a new cloud monster, which also would get him a B class award. With these two B class awards, together with the award coin he got from catching the thief, he would have enough award coin to trade with Ms Grace.
In short, he would have the icicle fern soon.
He even got a bunch of rank 1 and rank 2 gems, which were a very good material for his magic circle research. Although the quality for some of the gems wasn't good, he could sell it for money.
After lying on the ground for a while, Alvin sat up, looking around. It wasn't a good idea to lie down inside the spire.
He found himself at a high ground of the spire. There were a lot of tall trees around him.
Then, Alvin stood out, patted his dirty pants and walked to the edge of the cliff.Looking down from the cliff, he found himself far away from the entrance.
"Now already 2 hours after i got teleported to the underground, I wonder where the teachers Elias and Charles are." Alvin mumbled to himself.
Then, Alvin heard a voice from behind. Not knowing who it was, Alvin hid himself behind a tree, observing them. He saw three middle-aged men in black robes, walking up the spiral.
"Faster, they found the monster king. We need to reach there in 15 minutes."
"Is Matthew there yet?"
"Yes, the Infernal Lord, Matthew are fighting with the monster king, buying us time."
"Then, we better be fast. If not, we might get punishment from Matthew. He is one of the four Infernal Lord"
"Eh, is it true that we are going to fight the monsters king?"
"Maybe, every time a new spire is open, there will be a monster king protecting cloud items. Of course, we are just there to help, no one expects us to defeat the monster king"
"The instruction from Matthew was that three of us will sneak in to steal the cloud items. "
Alvin's eyes narrowed.
From their conversation, it seemed like three of them were members of the Infernal Order, going to fight the monster king and get the cloud item.
Luckily he didn't use his litrose to find teacher Elias and Charles, he might attract the members of Infernal Order instead of Elias and Charles.
With no clue of where Elias and Charles were, Alvin decided to follow the members of the Infernal Order.
In the cold spire, three members of Infernal Order were brisk walking in the snow, passing by tall trees that blocked the sunlight, heading in a direction leading to the monster king.
Alvin was following them at a distance, moving gently from one bush to another, avoiding being discovered by them.
Alvin was observing them and listening to their conversation. He guessed that they were at least level 30, maybe even more, considering they were doing an important mission, to get the cloud items.
It seemed like The Infernal Order was putting a lot of effort and resources to get the new cloud item. The one that Alvin met at the entrance was even higher rank, at least level 50. Including the one Alvin met at the entrance, there were at least 4 members of Infernal Order that were higher than level 30.
But that didn't guarantee them on getting the cloud items because Daylight Order also sent some members to explore the spire. Alvin believed Ms Grace was also aiming for the cloud items.
So, there was a high chance that both parties would meet each other when finding the cloud items.
Soon, by following them, Alvin arrived at a big cave. Alvin squinted his eyes.
In front of the cave, the Infernal Lord, Matthew was fighting a huge ice element scorpion, his black robe was fluttering in the air.
Alvin noticed that the scorpion had a comparable power as the Matthew. Matthew couldn't give the scorpion an effective attack. They were exchanging spells on each other.
Suddenly, Alvin saw shiny things out of the corner of his eyes. He turned his head and noticed a fire blast, burning and glowing, aimed at Matthew.
"Ms Grace." Alvin thought to himself.
Then, Alvin saw Ms Grace reached the cave, followed by her member. Yet, Alvin didn't see teacher Elias and Charles.
"tsk" Matthew sighed. He retreated back, avoiding the fire blast.

The three high levels were confronting each other. Matthew, Ms Grace and the Scorpion were staring at each other. None of them moved at the moment because they knew that if they attacked others, another one would take the chance to attack them.
"Let's go, we must get it before the Daylight Order." the member of the Infernal Order that Alvin had been following started to move to the cave.
Alvin didn't tell anyone about their actions. He was standing near them, voicing out would put him into immediate danger. All the three members of Infernal Order were higher level than him. It was impossible for him to fight them.
Yet, Alvin didn't want them to get the cloud items. So he followed them to see if there was anything he could do.
