Chapter 20 - Won

"Hey." Alvin yelled, turned his head, and gazed in the direction of the thief, Ben ran away. There was a dangerous gleam in his eyes. He had a total of 500 dollars in his wallet. All his money was inside the wallet.

Then, Alvin exchanged a quick glance with Charles. Without uttering a word, they darted toward Ben who just stole Alvin's wallet.

Three of them were running at a high speed. Ben was in front, followed by Alvin, and then Charles. Alvin squinted his eyes as he noticed Ben was fast in running. But Alvin remained calm. He was confident in chasing Ben.

"You won't get away with this. I have been practicing every day." Alvin mumbled to himself as he was chasing Ben.

As per instruction from Mr Elias, everyday morning, Alvin would run 10 km around the academy at high speed. He knew that the running that he did in the past was his best weapon in chasing Ben.

After running for 15 minutes, while Ben was sweating and breathing heavily, Alvin looked relaxed and easy. Then, Alvin saw Ben turn left and run into a small alley.

Alvin and Charles followed him. Just as they entered the alley. They saw Ben standing there, breathing heavily, facing them with a grin instead of running away.

Getting such a weird reaction from Ben, Alvin glanced around. They were standing between two walls, in front of them was Ben, and behind Ben was a dead end. This was a remote alley. There was no one nearby.

"Hey, don't chase anymore. You think I don't have any backup plans when I steal your wallet?" Ben warned, with a slight grin on his face.

"Nope, I just think that you shouldn't take my wallet," Alvin said with a firm voice.

"Give us back the wallet," Charles said as he extended his hand.

"hehehehe, impossible." Ben shook his head and sneered.

* Whooshs

A whoosh filled the air.

Alvin cast a wind blade on Ben. To Alvin, there was no point in talking with Ben anymore.

Ben was quick in his response. He had been observing their actions. Once he saw the wind blade, he took out a dagger and tried to block the attack.

* booommmm

The wind blade hit Ben, causing a strike of green light. Surprisingly, Ben didn't get hurt at all. Alvin saw that Ben was still standing, holding a dagger, a cloud was floating on his hand with a rank 0 water spell.

"Is a cloud holder, at least level 11." Charles gasped.

Alvin squinted his eyes as he saw Ben's cloud. At first, he thought Ben wasn't a cloud holder, just a normal 10 years old kid. Now, it seemed like Ben was a cloud holder, and there was a chance that Ben was around level 18 or level 19.

"First spell, waterfall" Ben murmured. A blue light lit up on his water symbol.

*blummm

A lot of water was pouring out in front of Alvin and Charles, as if a waterfall.

"Is an area attack spell. He is an attack mage" Alvin said as he darted backward.

Charles squinted his eyes and nodded. Then, instead of going backward, Charles cast his first cloud spell. "First spell, Thunder Boom"

*Boommm

Charles's Thunder Boom was strong enough to blow away the waterfall. After all, Charles's Thunder Boom was a rank 1 cloud spell and Ben's Waterfall was a rank 0 cloud spell.

Alvin saw many white mist filling the air when the explosion happened. He didn't stop his action. "First Spell, Wind blade"

*Whoosh Whoosh Whoosh

Three wind blades pierced through the mist, aiming at Ben.

While the three wind blades were piercing through the mist, Charles darted into the mist and, at the same time, took out his mini bow.

"Oh my..." Ben's eyes widened with shock as he saw the three wind blade. He rolled down on the floor to dodge the wind blade.

*Boom boom boom

Just as Ben wanted to stand up, Charles reached. Charles swung his legs and kicked Ben's hand, removing the dagger from Ben. Then, Charles pointed his arrow at Ben.

At the same moment, Alvin reached and extended his hand, his palm facing Ben, ready to cast another wind blade at a close distance.

"If you move, I shoot," Charles said with firm eyes.

"ok, I won't move." Ben raised his both hands as if surrendered.

"How?" Charles asked Alvin without turning his head. He was staring at Ben, ready to shoot.

"My wallet", Alvin said.

"Okok." Ben took out Alvin's wallet from his pocket and handed it to Alvin. Alvin took a look at his wallet. All the money was still there.

"So, we are done, right? I can go now?" Ben asked with a low voice, moving gently.

"Who told you to move?" Charles said as he pulled the string harder.

"Send him to The Daylight Order?" Alvin discussed this with Charles. The Daylight Order was the organization that was in charge of all the conflicts between cloud holders. Although The Daylight Order wasn't at its peak like when it was under Ethan's leadership, it was still the biggest organization for conflict between cloud holders.

"Can" Charles replied.

"Eh, no no no no. You see I give you back your wallet. You have no loss at all. Why not just let me go? And I heard that you are looking for an Icicle fern, right? I know where to find it" Ben quickly said.

After musing for a moment, Alvin said. "Alright, send him to The Daylight Order"

"Ehhhh, wait. You don't want your Icicle Fern?" Ben said as he was being tied up by Alvin.

"Who knows whether it is true? It might be a trap instead of an icicle fern. I don't trust you" Alvin said as he tied up Ben's hand. Although Alvin wanted to find the icicle fern, he didn't believe Ben at all, which was a wise choice. After all, Alvin was a smart person.

With that, Alvin and Charles escorted Ben to The Daylight Order.
