After eating the Nika Nika no Mi, Luffy, still a child in his home village, yells his dream to Shanks with extreme motivation and determination. His eyes full of stars and sparkles, shining in the dark world of Piratery. His body still little like a child, his mouth big and full of words.
Wearing a red shirt and blue shorts with white, fluffy borders.
"One day, I will be the King of Pirates!" He yelled with all his might showing incredible determination with 9 simple words.
Shanks laughed, red-haired guy wearing a black coat, a white shirt, dark brown shorts with a red waistband, and a straw hat on his head.
"Will you really be?" He asked with a glad smile about Luffy's motivation. He already knows that he will be even though it didn't happen yet.
"Alright, then I count on you." Shanks said like a proud father before gently taking his strawhat and putting it on Luffy, his hand still on the hat to show the trust in a gift that values higher than a treasure.
"I trust you will come to me and give me back this hat when the time is right." Shanks said before lifting his hand from Luffy's head.
The straw hat, bigger than Luffy's head, covers the upper part of his face, hiding his eyes, his tears, his hair, and his nose.
Thus leaves Luffy's mouth widely opened expressing a negative emotion, his teeth tightening against themselves as he holds back his falling tears. His tears going down his face aren't of sadness but of honor, Luffy is moved by Shanks's gesture.
"B-but... Shanks..! T-that.. I-isn't that hat.. your most precious t-treasure..?" Luffy asked, concerned about why Shanks would entrust him with such a big responsibility.
His proud smile fading away slowly, like weather..., Shanks walks to his ship ready to sail with his crew to his new base. With a final message to Luffy that could mean everything to him, and could perhaps become his new motivation as a pirate, he said:
"One day Luffy.., you will understand why." Shanks said before his face darkened. He turned away and walked to his ship
As Shank's ship sailed away, Luffy still crying has a new light of motivation, a light brighter than any seen before. What awaits Luffy in the dangerous sea of East Blue..?
10 years later, Luffy is now 17.
Luffy trained hard to hone his abilities and skills with the Nika Nika no Mi.
He prepared himself for a big and long journey and will now depart.
"Bye everyone!" Luffy said joyfully to the people of his home village before taking his wooden rowboat to sail and depart.
As Luffy travels in the sea, his boat falls into a whirlpool leaving no choice but let Luffy travel in a barrel since he can't swim because of his Devil Fruit.
After some time, Luffy's barrel crosses paths with a ship. It is a known pirate's ship in East Blue, a dangerous one at that. That pirate was known as 'Alvida the Iron Mace', One of the strongest in the lights of East Blue. (the shadow of East Blue are stronger obviously).
Some pirates in Alvida's ship notices the barrel and decide to fish it. After fishing it, they are exhausted because of the heaviness of the barrel thinking its a great treasure or ressources. Well unfortunately for them, when they came closer to the barrel, Luffy Opened it aggressively which cause the pirates to be hit by Luffy and sent flying to the walls.
"What a nice sleep!" Luffy yelled while aggressively opening the barrel, a big smile on his face, the strawhat on his head. He is wearing a red shirt and a blue shorts with a purple waist band.
Luffy looked around, noticing the strange environment, different from what he expected. He didn't see the sea, nor did he see an island. He saw a room, a room full of ressources inside a ship. It seems like it was the storage room.
"hmm.. Where am I?" Luffy asked with little eyes and his face straightening like a square because of his unexpectations.
"How dare you hit us!" The first pirate who was sent flying says in an arrogant tone, wearing a green head band, a white shirt and black pants with a cutlass on his waist.
"Do you not know where you are!?" The second pirate who was sent flying says in an arrogant tone, wearing the same thing as the first pirate.
Seems like all pirates of this ships wear those same clothes with the same weapon, or at least the lowest ranked pirate in the ship.
"Don't know, don't care" Luffy said nonchalantly leaving the barrel.
"Actually..! Where am I?" Luffy asked again, a bit less concerned than the first time.
"Y-you are i-in A-Alvida's ship... Alvida, the great pirate of East Blue..." Koby said looking scared and shy like he was kidnapped. Koby, a pink-haired kid with glasses, wearing a white T-shirt and blue pants with shoes.
"Hey kid, you don't look well do you? why you here?" Luffy asked concerned his face still looking lost not knowing why he was here.
"I-I am Koby.. I wanted to be a m-marine but Alvida took me away.." Koby said kind of scared, his eyes looking down in wary but truthful in Luffy.
Suddenly, Alvida has been notified of a strange and dangerous presence on the ship and precisely in the storage room which she decides to resolve by breaking the floor which is the roof of the storage room.
Alvida, not just fat, but far more obese. Wearing some kind of white cow boy hat and wearing chill clothes (you can imagine whatever you want), she breaks the 'roof' and falls in the middle of the storage room where Luffy stands.
"Is that big ugly woman the 'great Alvida'?" Luffy asked before laughing and mocking at her trying to lighten the mood unconsciously as Luffy is naturally like that.
"S-she is the most beautiful woman, Alvi... Wait, you know what!? I don't care anymore! She is the ugliest woman on the sea!" Koby exclaimed while standing up, his eyes not scared anymore. He doesn't care about what would happen or anything anymore, he just followed Luffy.
"HUHH!? You dare call me that you poopy head!? Do you wish to see the consequences?" Alvida said while looking down at Koby her hands moving and pointing at him showing only annoyance.
"I am the most beautiful woman on East Blue, AM I NOT!!? HUH KOBY! ANSWER!" She said trying to scare Koby as she is very angry and annoyed by those true facts.
Luffy laughed even harder at Alvida after Koby's bold statement, which caught her attention.
"Hey you idiot, who are you and why are you here?" Alvida said even more annoyed. not even waiting his answer, she hits Luffy but misses.
"hihi, I am Luffy! And I am going to be the next King of Pirates!" Luffy said after dodging Alvida's attack, a big smile on his face and his hand on his strawhat showing care and concern at Shanks's words and his given treasure before he left.
Alvida then aims to stomp on Luffy... What will happen next?
