As Alvida was about to stomp Luffy.
He cracks his fingers, and stretches his arm with a challenging smile and focused eyes.
"Hah! Come on you damn ugly woman!"
Luffy said mocking at Alvida's physique with a roasting tone trying to make her angry or annoyed. He scratches his nose and adjust his hat before Alvida stomp him.
Luffy spread his legs and adopts a lifting stance.
Eager for fun and challenge, he awaited Alvida's stomp and when it came, he stopped it with his hands and started to lift it.
Luffy hardens his teeth and closes his eyes as he focuses all his strength in his arms and hands to lift Alvida.
"Dang it! you are heavy!"
Luffy said again while struggling, breathing heavily like he just sprinted a mile.
While Luffy was lifting her, he thought about another idea. A frightening idea.
The idea makes Luffy use his devil fruit, the Nika Nika no Mi to stop struggling and push her.
Luffy jumped after pushing her, aiming to catch her ankle.
Luffy catches her ankle and start to easily lift it and whip her around.
"Hohooo! Thats so fun!"
Luffy exclaimed all excited like a little kind finding a new toy in the supermarket. Or a little kid getting what he wanted as present during Christmas.
Everyone around where totally shocked, finding the scene of Alvida being totally controlled unusual.
It wasn't normal for them to see Alvida easily beaten like that.
"You damn idiot! How dare you!!"
Alvida yelled in anger, annoyance, pain and above all, powerless. She couldn't do anything but she deserved it anyways.
Luffy throw her flying into the sky really far after whipping her for a while.
She was sent far in the sky, so far, she might have reached an island.
The other pirates in the ship were totally shocked and scared when they saw Alvida sent flying into the sky, so far that they couldnt see her anymore.
They instantly became submissive and kneeled to Luffy not willing to die.
Luffy kind-hearted decides to let is slide and orders a boat.
"hm… That ship won't go far broken like that, get me a rowboat!"
Alvida's pirate ship was broken everywhere, on the brink of sinking but the pirates would rather swim to an island than painfully get whipped and sent flying.
The pirates prepared a rowboat for Luffy as fast as they could, it only took them a minute to prepare a rowboat for Luffy, even caring enough to bring resources and food. Well, they didn't care for Luffy at all, they even wanted his death but they cared for their own lives.
Luffy jumped out of the ship and landed on the rowboat all ready to go as he looks back at the ship and sees Koby.
"Uhm… C-can I come?"
Koby asked all shy but scared of being left behind with pirates that were holding back because of Luffy's presence.
"Uhh… Sure!"
Luffy accepted with a nonchalant tone but a kind-hearted expression.
Koby jumped out of the ship excited at the idea of finally leaving those pirates but scared at the idea of not being able to be a marine since he will travel near a pirate.
Koby sat down with Luffy as he drove his rowboat to nowhere just seeking for an island.
After they reached quite a far distance from the broken pirate ship, they decide to talk a bit bored from the unchanging view of the sea.
"So what is your dream Koby?"
Luffy asked wondering what could motivate Koby to travel that much in the sea while being a little kid without protection or good skills.
"M-my dream? Uhm… I want to be a m-marine!"
Koby said a bit scared of the consequences of saying that to a pirate, he instantly regret it but before Koby thinks about harsh consequences, Luffy answer still kind-hearted.
"A marine huh? Seems fun! I want… I will be the next King of Pirate"
Luffy exclaimed with a wide smile while spinning around his strawhat on his finger and laying on his rowboat.
"Why do you want to be a marine?"
Luffy crosses his legs and puts his strawhat between his legs pushing his arms and hands against his strawhat, he looks with his eyes widely open matching his wide but closed smile. He looks as excited as a kid listening to a fairy tale.
"Uhm… I think that a marine is cool because it helps people without being scared of death or fights…"
Koby said with a low voice. He is a bit shy about his dreams and goals, playing with his fingers while looking down scared as he doesnt dare to look at Luffy in the eyes.
"Thats so cool! You can do it, you know?"
Luffy said still excited with a bright smile acknowledging his bravity and goals.
At some point, Luffy was about to sleep when he sees a big silhouete from afar.
He looks a bit curious and focuses on the silhouete that was quite big.
After coming closer to the silhouete that was growing bigger, it wasn't hard to believe it was an island.
"Ohoo!! An island!"
Luffy said all excited as he sees 2 big towers, a village and some kind of strange fences.
Koby was also excited but when he saw the fences he started to wonder how to react.
Koby knew something that Luffy didn't.
"Luffy… That is… That is a marine base!"
Koby said concerned for Luffy as he knew he was a pirate but he wasn't any pirate. Luffy was Koby's friend.
Koby was kind of stressed for Luffy but after all, Luffy is Luffy so Luffy was reckless and careless hearing that.
Actually, he seemed kind of happy.
"Marine base!? Sounds fun!"
Luffy said like he was accepting another challenge. But that challenge wasn't as easy as the last.
Well, Luffy doesn't care anyways. 'What is life without risk huh?' is probably what he thinks. He just wants fun.
After reaching the island, villagers started to gather at dock, then bringing marines.
Luffy anchors at the docks and go on lands, on the island called 'Shells Town'.
On land, he walks with koby throughout the villagers to finally reach the marine.
The marine surround Koby and Luffy and ask while pointing guns to them with marine swordswmen backing up in case.
"Who are you and what are you doing here!?"
The Marine asked very Professionally, they all had a special suit of marine with a marine cap, a marine shirt and black pants. It seemed like there were 2 types of marines yet, the gunsmen and the swordsmen.
Luffy walked up to show himself, he put his hand on his hat and pushes it to lower it to his eyes.
he stands still while looking at them with a wide yet sharp smile and his eyes big but focused like he was ready for a fight anytime soon.
"I am Monkey D. Luffy! I will be the next King of Pirates!"
Luffy said all confident nonchalant about the fact that he is surrounded by marines.
The moment he talked about Monkey D., marines thought he was an ally since he had the last name of Monkey D. Garp, one of the strongest marines.
But as they heard "King of Pirates", some didn't hesitate to shoot.
Without a second thought, 3 of the 20 marines shot.
As the bullets reaches Luffy, it stretches his rubber body but his body shoots back the bullets to the marine which killed 4 of the marines.
Seeing that, Koby take a moment to choose between leaving Luffy in his own problems and joining the marine or take Luffy and escape.
As Koby is still loyal and kind, he decides to take Luffy and he starts running after grabbing his shirt.
"Let's go Luffy!"
Koby yelled as he was stressed, scared but having fun. Drops of sweat fell after they ran far enough from the marines.
At some point, they reached the fences of the marine base and saw a ladder.
They decided to climb the ladder and both, Koby and Luffy were prying into the marine base as they saw a little girl with brown hair, a cute pink dress and blue eyes give some oni giri to a bandit. The bandit was wearing a dark green headband, white T-shirt and black pants, he was tied to some wooden cross standing and held by the ground.
His eyes were opened but little. He looked angry, focused but tired like he was tied there for days.
After some time, they saw the bandit throw the oni giris aggressively before harshly asking the little girl to leave.
The little girl didn't want to give up nor to fight back so she left with last words before going.
"I will come back!"
The little girl said before running in her kid form to the fences and climbing back out. She then left and went to her own place.
"Hey, stay here. I will go talk to that guy"
Luffy said recklessly but he wore a grin, an amused grin that could tell everything about his current feelings. He felt like he met someone strong that he had to meet.
He then climbed the fence with ease, he had no fear in his eyes.
"Luffy wait! Don't go!"
Koby yelled concerned but even though he said that, he made no move to pull Luffy back as he was scared.
Luffy didn't really try to consider Koby's command and jumped in.
"Hey!"
Luffy yelled at the bandit while walking to him.
Its not far, Luffy takes mere seconds to walk to the bandit.
"Whats your name?"
Luffy asked seeing how badly hurt that bandit is.
He then looked at the oni giri on the ground.
The bandit also looked at the oni giri crushed into the hard ground.
"Give me that."
The bandit ordered, he did not request.
His stomach then growled in hungriness but he wasnt really shy, maybe the slightest embarassed but nothing weird except the fact that he didn't want to eat it earlier.
It could show his true kind with a tough exterior nature.
Luffy smiled before taking it and putting it in the bandit's open mouth.
The bandit eat it but seems to like it even tho the taste is really bad.
"I am Roronoa Zoro"
Zoro said nonchalantly, he didn't really seem like he would talk unless he needs to.
He lifted his head to look at Luffy with a small smile.
"Need a hand?"
Luffy said with a big smile on his face and his hands on his hips like an excited child awaiting his mission.
Luffy's eyes were closed, kind of like his smile took the space of his eyes.
"No thanks. You should leave."
Zoro said not fully nonchalant, he seemed like he had a bit of concern tho. Like he actually wanted or needed that help.
"They are gonna kill me soon... If you want to help me, go search for my swords its in that tower in floor XX door XX"
Zoro said while sounding nonchalant but you could see in his drifting eyes that he needed that help. And that, Luffy understood it.
Luffy then started to run to the tower but then remembered he had a devil fruit.
"Leave it to me!"
Luffy all confident in his doings.
Luffy always wanted to jump high so he developped a skill to jump realy high.
He uses that skill and jumps to the window of the room with zoro's swords but he sees marines looking at him from inside the room.
"What are you doing here!?"
The marines asked surprised but their weapons ready, one with a cutlass and another with a firearm pointed at Luffy.
They are wearing the same marine suit as the other marines from the docks, but they looked more serious.
