Chapter 7 - Secret Date

Lily's watch as they left her apartment and the car that was there last night was now changed to a motorcycle. Two helmets were sitting on the seat as Max turned to her a smirk on his face. "Here put this on," he said handing her a helmet. "Should I be concerned about our destination? Or will it stay a mystery until we get there?" Lily asked slipping the helmet on flipping the vizer up. "Have a little faith. Get on," Max said straddling the bike waiting for her to get on. Stepping on the foot peg she straddles the back her legs snug against his sides. Securing his helmet he starts the bike and heads towards the family house.

Taking his time cruising through the streets seeing the shops busy Max was enjoying the site as well as the company. Lily leaned into him fitting close as he weaved through traffic heading out of town. She was curious as to where they might be going, but let it go knowing Max wanted her to enjoy herself. Holding on to his chest she could feel all the muscles there wanting to touch more. She felt the rumble in his chest letting her know he like the attention. They pulled up to a small restaurant 10 minutes outside of town. It was an old Victorian house with a wrap around deck with chairs and tables on it. The sign on the house said "Rita's Homestyle Restaurant".

"We may not want everyone know about us, but I thought this would be okay. Come on the food is good here," Max said as we took our helmets off walking up the sidewalk. The whole place looked like it was an enchanted garden with all sorts of flowers every where some she recognized. "This place is beautiful. I can't wait to try the food," Lily said grabbing his hand walking up the steps.

Back at the Palace the King was still fuming about this new revelation in concerns to Lily. The Queen walks in wondering what could have upset him so. "What did she say to you? It pains me to see you like this," she said walking up to him while he stared at the fire. "I'm not even sure if what I'm thinking is true. I have my Beta looking into it now so we will talk more on the subject later," he said still staring into the fire.

The Queen was concerned for other reasons as she said, "We need to talk about the last marriage arrangement that came in. This time it was for Alisa and now that she is mated we still need to send someone. Phil is still Max's right hand so the only one we could think to send is the spare." The King moved then going to his desk to see the letter she was talking about. It was from the dragon kingdom who they owed a great debt to. "Which of the Princes is asking?" he asked handing her the letter. Opening it she read to the bottom, "The youngest, but what does that matter? Its high time we got rid of that spare and finally get our moneys worth back. She's been a drain on our good will for a while now. She may live on her own, but she still works for us," she said hoping the King agreed with her. "Yes using her for our benefit would be ideal. Get in contact with them and let them know the bride price. I'm handing them a gem we should receive what its worth," He said speaking about Lily like she was an item to be sold.

"Thank you my dear. Hopefully with this taken care of Max can focus on finding his mate and less on the spare. It would be most ideal for him to have his Luna when he goes throught the ascension ceremony. It gives the people hope for a better age," the Queen said sounding like she cared for the future. The King however hadn't said much which concerned the Queen as he continued to be in his own thoughts. About to say more the Queen was cut off as the King said, "Thank you my dear I still have work to do. See you at dinner."She kissed his cheek then walked out of the office Alisa waiting there for her. They walked for a bit before they walked into her office closing the door.

"Please tell me I don't have to suffer that dragon prince? He's so slinky and creepy I can't even stand to be in the same room as him," Alisa whined hoping her mother had good news. "Good news my dear your off the hook." The satisfied feeling that came over her was all so sweet knowing that b*tch couldn't touch Max anymore. Revenge is sweet.
