Lily was not prepared for what was to come. Her pack was attacked in the middle of the night the shouting woke her as her mother came running into the room locking the door. "Get dressed quickly! We don't have time, hurry!" Mama shouted as she tore open the closet moving things away from the back wall. "Mama what's going on?" she asked too young to know whats happening. Just then her mother pulled out a hidden wall that lead outside. "Come on baby you have to escape! You have to live! For all of us you must live!" she shouted pushing Lily through the open door. People started beating at the door as her mother moved them into the closet.
"Be strong my girl. We will see each other again. I promise. Now run and don't look back," was the last thing she said before the door to Lily's room was broken down with cloaked figures filing in. Tumbling out the door rolling to get to her feet like she was taught to, never looking back she ran into the darkness.
She wasn't sure how long she ran for having dodged trees and bushes trying to get as far away as possible. Lily ended up at a waterfall deep in the forest that she paused at looking around. What was strange was that she didn't recognize the scents in the area around her as others started to approach from the forest. "Who are you?" the male asked harshly stocking up to her. The other wolves crowded around whispering, "She smells funny" or "What is she doing here?" "How did she even get here?"
The female standing next to him walked up to Lily kneeling down to look her over. She froze for a seeing something, but recovers after the moment saying, "Honey, she's freezing, but she doesn't seem to have been injured to badly. How did you come to be here, child?"
"I don't know, mama said to run so I did. I just kept running. Where is here?" Lily asked scared and confused. The horror of events had blanked her memory as she tried to figure out which way she came from.
The Alpha looked at her with menacing at first then a weird possessive look whispering something to his mate who nodded then walked back saying, "Your in the forest of the Royal Wolf Pairs bloodline. We can help you so why don't you come with us?"The Luna asked convincingly as Lily nodded taking her hand following them to their home. Hopefully they could find out what happened to her parents.
The Alpha King and the Luna Queen of the Royal Moon pack was as old as the werewolf species itself and was thought to be the beginning of werewolf kind. They took Lily in raising her in the shadows for 15 years until she graduated from college early at 20. They never found her parents or who they were or the pack she was supposed to have come from either. Even after asking several times over the years they still had no leads, or so they said.
Alpha Marcus and Luna Charlotte were kind to Lily in public, but behind closed doors criticized her behavior as if it was her fault that the royal daughter or sons looked bad to the public. She brushed it off most days just grateful to have a home. Between the negotiations with the northern pack, who are ruthless warriors hell bent on the stone age of things, to the southwestern lands of the United States that needed wolf guardians to look after the cattle herds because of minor rogue attacks in the back hills. Our Alpha has seen to all of this and handled the issues without any causalities. This was only possible because he claimed credit for all Lily's strategic planning and work that he demanded her to do to cover living expenses. Just one more way they show their displease for her.

Every 5000 years a new set of Alpha Pairs is born to each species. Each having unique characteristics and talents not given to the their general species. Because of these traits each group coveted their pair and often enslaved them as weapons of war. Only a handful of species made their pairs Royal so the balance would be kept. All species would be looked after no matter what others did to their Alpha Pair. Though it left the Alpha Pairs to show their worth many of them parishes.
