A fitting Oak-blazer, short pleated skirt, brown long socks that hid her long legs. And a pair of once fancy shoes.
All these things that would have caught people staring at her for a few extra moments before they could realize that they were staring, was like they didn't exist at this moment and that blew a cool breeze of hidden embarrassment across her face.
Or perhaps it was because they had been traumatized trying to live through this hell they had been sent to, following the brilliant entrance she thought she made, none of the newcomers seemed to give a damn about her, their emotionless eyes didn't waver a bit. And as for the boy who did look at her, his eyes only flashed with appreciation before suddenly lighting up… But not at her.
'The gods are good. Here I was think you lot would soon rape me .'
Just as he admired the shiny Crossbow in the girl's hand, his expression suddenly contorted into that of a slight frown, before glancing a bit sideways at Amelia.
"Well… welcome Jean. Why don't we get on with it."
Noticing how weird out the atmosphere was, Ryker spoke up, parting both hands to the Beetle Corpse with a grin.
"Jerk."
With that Jean with her red long hair behind, confidently strode into their midst.
And while the group were about to ponder in confusion. Their pupils widened in surprise as they bore witness to what happened next.
Without an ounce of fear and neither flinching, Jean with one swift stroke swiped her palm across the readied arrow head in the Crossbow. Covering it in her blood and then firing it upwards.
While they watched with strange incredulity. Up above there was a sudden flap sound as the burning yellow flames seemed to glow brighter for a moment. Then the next instant became so bright that they had to squint their eyes. Even the warmness seemed so close.
It was only then that their head registered where the flame came from.
Right before them, there was a billowing flame that rapidly incinerated the undying corpse of the Zombified Beetle. And the source… Her hands stretched out like two indomitable extinguishers that blasted out flames, and despite being surrounded by it, she looked brilliant and unhurt.
Soon, about five minutes later, watching the receding flames, the gawking look on Amelia's quickly settled behind the fabric and resumed that of her usually cold demeanor.
While her flames reflected in their eyes, beckoning amazement. No one noticed, a vile in humane smirk crept up Alex's face.
"Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! I call that Flame Sorceress." Following three loud exclamations, Ryker with a worshipping look in his eyes, clasped both hands.
In response, Jean gave him a side glare, before picking up the Crossbow she dropped. Her previous fierce and sassy temperament was replaced by a solemn one.
l"And that is how we have been slaying creatures for the past 3 weeks."
With that, he bent towards the pile of ashes and dugout a dull red jagged stone the size of two clenched fingers, one that they never noticed.
But seeing it, not only Flynn, the rest of the group instantly recognize what it was.
A Devil Stone, one that every Diabolical Creature possessed as their core. Containing the most primal form of neutral Tia, much safer for Bearers to absorb than the one in the atmosphere like that of their current situation.
"Beautiful isn't it." Staring at the jiggered red piece of stone, Ryker commented absent mindedly before a look of realization suddenly dawned on him, one that he had previously failed to notice.
While he guardedly clenched the stone in his hands, before staring at Alex and co who expressionlessly watched this, he said with a bewildered, confused, and surprised tone.
"You guys already formed your Seals?" He seemed to realize, throwing them a glance upon remembering, the strange Tia here was slowly invading their body but they seemed not to care.
Earlier, the group he led, containing a few others, almost ended up turning into Hollow in thirty seconds. Showing that Bearers without Seal were not much different than a normal human, being susceptible to corruption under Tia influence.
"Hmmm." Flynn nodded in response without thinking much of it, but his brows couldn't help but furrow after that.
"Great, now our chances of sneaking out of this hell has increased." Revealing an excited expression as he said this, the duo behind him, Jean and Raylen both stared at the other groups with incredulity.
'Were Seals that easy to form?' They would have thought if not having formed their's.
In fact, including the other group of survivors who numbered in tens, there were only about four with formed Seals.
'Chances?' He thought before Amelia's amazed voice entered his head.
'It seems they've gathered a large group of survivors, equipped with Stellar Weapons.'
'Sounds like an adventure if we don't end up dead.' She added before turning mute.
"Sure, you must all want to meet the others, to check for your surviving school mate and if maybe loved ones so let's go." Though he doubted if the expressionless group had relatives, he only dwelled on it for an instance before adding.
"And while we are at it, I'll share with you a bit of what has happened so far."
Turning back, they began to head towards the smaller hallway that branched the Great Hall with Ryker in lead. Currently, his Great Hammer had shrunken to that of a medium one, also looking less heavier than it was. Flynn guessed that it was the same grade as the Crossbow held by the red haired girl of Asian descent.
