Kpa!
It was like a feverish heat suddenly hit him and time came to a still.
While Flynn doubted his ears, the look on his face slowly turned into that of speechlessness, stunned confusion and incredulous. In fact, time was so slow that it felt like eternity.
Staring up at the scrunched up face of his assaulter, filled with disgust and hate as if he could catch an infection from their just shared contact. With the sound of the slap still reverberating in the air, he saw the bastard's mouth open again.
"Do you want to take those off or I should do that for you?" The golden haired youth grinned as he appeared to loosen his dirty tie, while expecting a series of cheers to come his way.
Unexpecting that the atmosphere would become dead silent.
"Shit."
It wasn't known who said it, but by then Flynn had already gotten up.
His natural built physique drafting that of the golden haired youth in an instant like a beast which had been enraged.
While everyone stared with intensity, Amelia who was by his side had her eyes widening for the first time, breaking the cold facade she had maintained all these while, as a wild satisfactory grin took place on her lips beneath her tied up face at the next scene.
Grating and pleasing, a cracking sound of bones and teeths, Flynn thrust a disconnecting punch by willing the dormant superhuman strength hidden in the very muscles of his hands towards the golden haired boy.
And while everyone appeared in slow mo, then there was a muffled bang as Flynn landed another punch as a combo, probably breaking a few ribs as there was a…
Bang!
Someone was flung backward like a sack of beans, and while it seemed he would be on his edge to death if he hit the otherside of the paved stone bench. The stern looking youth who had been conversing with Ryker happened to be there, catching hold of the golden haired youth. But he was also almost sent flying because of it. leaving a long trail as his brown sneakers became more battered than it was before.
… An Eerie silence took hold a moment later, like a broken time lag before everyone recovered.
As for Flynn, his contorted face filled with rage, was nowhere to be seen, as if it had only appeared for an instance.
Though his fingers were still clenched, after about three seconds of silence he glanced at the bleeding youth with a dislocated jaw who was unconscious and sat back down.
While doing so, he felt a deep hating look on his back, but it disappeared as soon as he felt it.
'Coward?' He thought as his mind was still in a strange state of daze, and his muscles on the edge for another round while his heart continued beating calmly.
Bending his head slightly, he exhaled a bit, unconcerned of the looks he was receiving, his brain finally registered what just happened.
It was his first exchange, in fact it was the time he had been successfully taunted into rage as long as he could recall.
Being slapped in the face for no reason wasn't something he could let go off, if so he would be looked down on.
While he was thinking about all this under the becoming awkward atmosphere, he couldn't help but agree that the golden haired youth had been the most daring and irrational person he had ever encountered. Just a moment ago he had been acting like a normal proud scum and the next, a totally irrational one, which rather seemed off. Too off.
One person couldn't bear two distinct personalities at a time, or would be considered a psycho.
With this in mind, Flynn couldn't help but think the whole scenario just now was bizarre. Everything had happened so quick that the blind rage within him was like a torrent that took hold upon him.
Bearers needed to keep their emotions in check, and so was the existence of their Seal to pull their soul intact or suppress their turbulent emotions which could lead to deviation and unset the ticking chance of becoming Hollow, within them.
In severe cases they would be turned into a rampaging Hollow that would go on a killing spree or go on destroying anything.
Bearing something akin to corruption inside one's body was nothing to write casual about, and every Bearer walked on this thin line of insanity, and with a slip in their emotions their humanity would come crumbling…
But in event of what had happened now, it seem the lack of time he had to consciously absorb the surrounding Tia, and the little that was naturally sipped into his reserve had prevented a lot of scenario from happening, and even more so for the golden haired youth who probably hadn't formed his Seal yet.
'Hey, you good?'
While he was trying to reel in all these, he heard Amelia's whisper in concern, inside his head, and for a moment he became highly vigilant, but then his shoulders receded a bit..
Thinking about her ability to speak into minds, and how black her pupils had been back then, he couldn't help considering the ebony skinned girl as a suspect for what happened now.
Even more she had been staring coldly at the golden haired youth before that….
Suddenly, Flynn felt a chill…
Everything seemed too perfect and easy to figure out, only that he wasn't the only who must have seen Amelia stare at the youth before he came slapping him in the face.
'Devilish.' Flynn thought realizing this, as he gave a low nod in response to Amelia's words. This action was performed very minutely, to the point it couldn't be differentiated from the little movement of his body.
Staring upward,he pretended to be in vexed thoughts. His eyes quickly scanned the room, a thought of his that had been obstructed quickly came back to mind.
Nothing here seemed natural and seemed to have been a burial chamber once. For example the four cornered inbuilt stone bench he thought it was must have been used to keep and hold gold lanterns, accessories, alongside plates of fruits for the dead.
But none of that seemed to have been found, and even while he sat everywhere seemed to have been cleanly wiped.
Wasn't it strange for a place unoccupied for thousands of years that was supposed to be filled with dust and spiderwebs, but even if spiders were dead there should have still been dust.
Which means this place must have been wiped clean just recently, assuming the value of gold these days it would be no surprise that it had been hidden somewhere else to take later.
With that Flynn came to a conclusion and happened to see a set of pupils staring intensely at him.
