Chapter 31: The Confrontation
We marched Lucas back to the Order's headquarters, our eyes fixed on him like guards. As we approached the building, I could sense a strange energy emanating from within.
We burst through the doors, Lucas struggling against our grip. The leader of the Order looked up from its throne-like chair, its eyes narrowing as it took in the scene.
"What is the meaning of this?" the leader demanded, its voice cold and menacing.
Victor stepped forward, his eyes flashing with anger.
"We know what you're planning," Victor said, his voice low and deadly. "And we're not going to let you get away with it."
The leader's expression didn't change, but I could sense a flicker of surprise behind its eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about," the leader said, its voice smooth and deceptive.
But Victor wasn't having it.
"Don't lie to us," Victor said, his voice rising in anger. "We know all about your plans. And we're going to stop you, no matter what it takes."
